hello sir i dont know what the term raid config mean i have herd it means when you have 2 hardrivers connected togheter ina raid port on the motherboard, where u connect the power cable for the hardrives, i herd it gives better performance thats why i am buying 2 10,000rpm hardrives and my question is will raid work then?
hello sir, i got a question. When i get all of my parts hooked up to the motherboardand then turn it on for the first time, Do i insert the disk that came with the motherboard? if so can u tell me what i do from tHere? Thank You ~ isaac
First would be to install the OS on the machine unless you are planning on putting a more current version of the BIOS. The disks that came with the motherboard are drivers and applications that you'd install after getting the OS running. Also, once you have the OS up, you may want to go to ASUS' site to get the latest drivers since there may be more current ones than what shipped with the motherboard.

@Rapbiii
RAID is an array system that increases the performance of hard drives... It will work if you have:
1. RAID Controller (round $100)
2. 2 or more SATA drives.
if you have those, then it will work..
and not in RAID port but in the SATA ports..

no, the bios settings are saved no matter what the os is doing. it is saved on the actual raid controller.
