Yes, I know its a movie and one of my favorites but never understood how you could do it with a manual as we all know the DeLorean in question is a manual transmission. Even if you had a servo to work the clutch, you still need to move the gearshift.

PremierSullivan - I think that it was by accident, since Marty freaked out when he arrived in 1955 and he thought it was a dream, if he time traveled on purpose just to get a way from the Libyan terrorists, he would of know what to expect. When he said he put it in 90mph, he accidentaly activated the time circuts while doing so.
