My father sold his family's ranch in Guadalupito almost 20 years ago to, I think, distant relatives from Weslaco. He always amuses us with his stories of growing up and living in Guadalupito and Matehuala. My earliest memory there was getting chased by a turkey (guajolote / cocano) as I adventured through Nacho's yard. Saludos from the Flores Cruz family in Salinas, CA
Well, I was born in Matehual, moved to the states (CA) when I was 7 and I try to visit as much as I can. What about you, are you or your fam. from there? I assume, right?
@SRita23 I do have a lot of family in Matehuala and in Guadalupito as well. I I am sure some of our families know of each other. I've been wanting to go but just not able to escape yet. I am in Texas now.

Do you have family in any other ranchito like Santa Rita, La Villa, Conchas, or any other? What is your family's name?
SRita23 2 years ago
@SRita23 We only have distant relatives in Santa Rita whose surname is Herrera. My family surnames are Castillo, Martinez, and Cruz.
