what questioned me is why they have haz-mat at the head end of the train? Im sure their railroad goes by Norac but im just wondering if the rules still apply
@CSX6000 They are trying to hold of on painting them until the over growth on the lansdale line is cut back. plus did you see the 2 new cp sd40-2w's they just got
Excellent video Adam! I like seeing that classic power in action, particularly the C39-8.I wonder what's up with all the crossings on this line though? It seems like none of them activate until the train is practically on top of them.
@GenesisSanctuary That was Conrail's doing... this was to make the line "accepted track", meaning they would only have to inspect it once a month, vs. with class one track where you'd have to inspect it to once a week. The PNR has upgraded the track since they got the RR to class one.
@conrailforever1999 They operate 3 currently. 2 C39-8s, #8211 and #8212, along with SD40-2 the #5577. They will eventually place into service two ex-CN SD40-2Ws.
Great to see Conrail C39-8. I hope they paint it back to conrail!

Too bad NS didn't keep the C39-8s. They would look great in the horsehead paint scheme.

@cheechchongfan97 I'm curious to see what the PNRR group will paint them.
