Who was that guy that said - just ask to speak to a english speaking person. Other the fact that the India's tech workers do speak english - as if people are going to ask for that and jump though hoops to get what they want. Dell know that everyone would prefer to speak to someone with English as a first language. Why not have the option to opt to speak to a foreign tech worker instead
In a business sense a find Dell's customer service fanastic - everything and anything fixed within 1-3 days. However non-business support must be different. I also get put through to the indian call centers, the accent can sometimes be difficult but overall they generally do know there stuff.
Also do Mac users secretly have hard on's for PC's - they always seem to be looking at the review of every single PC EVER MADE ! lol. - even tho they clearly dont want one.
Seems ok - no VGA kinda sucks for my work, it's not as light as they make it appear either. 2.0 kgs upwards it is - add on the 8 cell battery and potentially more SSD space and the thing will be about 2.5kg - about the average of every other laptop.

в чем прикол такого зарядного устройства? по мне так проще к розетке подсоединить, один хер эта подставка проводами к розетке подключается... в остальном впринципе очень удачная модель
I'm not racist but even I get tired of calling them and getting ahold of someone who can't understand anything. It's like this "Hello thankyoufor contacing Dell tech suprt how may I assist you toay?" "Uhmm... say what you just said in English and slower.. oh and don't forget to say it forwards this time not backwards" "Watisurproblem sir?" *click* Apple has awesome tech support and so does Windows... Dell just hires cheap ass mofo's
I hate it when companies outsource their Customer Care business to my country, India. It is a crime done on the customers who are already frustrated with the non-functioning products. And our guys get called mofos too, lol. I remember how I used to struggle trying to understand the accent of Americans, and especially British and Australians. Likewise, it must be hard for them to understand our accent. CC business should NEVER be outsourced out of the customers' country. It's unethical.
What is unethical is denying thousands of struggling unemployed Indians the chance to improve their quality of life, english speaking skills, computer skills, and interpersonal skills.
I would gladly suffer the small inconvenience of a thick Indian accent as long as the job gets done and especially if it feeds a family.
I understand what you are saying though, but if the Indian CC business rep knows the product and can do it right, let him do it!
Yes, and most people don't ask if they can ask to speak to a native English speaker. Most companies would be much obliged. As would the America-side tech support workers since it's their jobs that are at the loss. Just ask for one, sir.
pretty sure I got next day care with my XPS at 3/4 the cost of a Macbook. When the Video card burnt, they got a serviceman to replace that and the screen the next day for free. My friend's called in his macbook and they told him to [do inappropriate things to] himself... that he must have spilt something on it.
Its still Windows...not worth it....

next thing you know they'll be claiming the inductive charger-dock, the touch edge, and of course, the OS.

if it were a crappy computer, hot girls might make it sell better. I think they want to show off how much this computer sells itself.

Blah, blah, blah. Everyone rips off Apple...who cares.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like Dell one bit, but for once, they actually managed to impress me.
This a laptop I wouldn't mind owning for it's form factor, size and battery life. I'll just remove Windows 7 and load up Ubuntu or SUSE.
