  • I was out sailing a ship but then I got high

  • @IncredableDrE hahahahahaha

  • collin mc'rae new gen!

  • ok, now. Who wanted to go ashore again?

  • Bc the captain don't drive till there out in open water the pilot is the what you call the guy who drives the ship in and out the bays a such

  • @cooterman4 You right of course, but the Captain never hand over command to the pilot (even if the pilot steers or gives rudder commands, the final word is always the captains). The pilot is an advisor that is there to assist the captain with advice.

Pilot boarding ground can differ from port to port and you can have diffrent boarding areas for diffrent type of ships

I doubt there was a pilot onboard at this point.

To me it looks someone is drunk or has fallen sleep. Or both !

  • @TheMagerleague

    Ask real professionals who saw...

  • @TheMagerleague

    Ever seen russian pilots, bastard?

  • That'll buff out.

  • Captain: Well, this could prove problematic!

  • why do people say pilot its admeral or captain

  • O_O

  • that probably woke the helmsman up right quick.... or, judging by how it's going full throttle 30 seconds after grounding, maybe he slept right through it..

  • By the looks of it he's determined to push the island....

  • sucker was halling ass too.

  • That´s a two-watch system to you. Probably the poor devils didn´t sleep in weeks, hell i´ve been there. Didn´t hit land, mind.

  • Captian! Where in the hell did that island come from??LOL

  • Ese buque llevaba algun problema mecánico, después de varar la hélice continúa girando..

  • ok, remember where we parked

  • WOW. what a NOOB!

  • Too much vodka for that tavarich

  • anything could have gone wrong such as engine failure, rudder snap. or anything mechanical like that

  • Your answer is OK: the ship might have had a general failure, that may "freeze" all the controls as they are. Impossible to shut down, impossible to steer...

    Ship happens...

  • for this cases anchors are made

  • drunk??

  • this is not a pirate attack...

this is a case off heart attack

  • and if you look close, you can see a person running up to the bridge right after 1:11.

This is one of the ships that could rise and lower the wheelhouse( to get under bridges in rivers and canals), so you can see a man running up the ladder on starbord side...

  • wtf?

  • Should have gone to specsavers :)

    or

    Why women can't drive!

  • I could imagine a bleary eyed watch keeper shouting " LAND AHEAD!!" followed by, " OOOps! I should have said that sooner shouldn't I?? "

  • Is the captain dead or something, it's still trying to go forward after it hits....

  • i think with he video fake

  • Aww I was kinda hoping it would go through the wall :P

  • who put that land there?

  • i did

  • nice job capt, ur ship will get award again

  • Good example of using autohelm with no one on the bridge should loose skippers licence instantly

  • I like how it's still motoring after it hits wtf? musta been asleep

  • I don't know about ships but if this is not technical malfunction then the crew must high on drugs!!!

  • Or sleeping ! To many working houres not enough sleep. The guy driving falls asleep by missatke and poof.... krash boom bang.

    It can be one expanition

  • all ashore that's going ashore.lol and land ho.lol

  • Most likely nipped to the toilet or gone to the galley for a cup of tea.

  • that reminds me of the movie speed 2

  • i see sumthing move at 1;20

  • Look at the propwash... perhaps he was trying to move the earth?

  • either that or extremely drunk

  • zzZZzZZZZZZzzzZZZzzzZZzZZzz

  • Looks like this ship is going to be a bit behind schedule.

  • where is the throtle cut button ?

    hehehe....

  • I'm pretty sure this happened somewhere in Indonesia. Pirates robbed the ship and tied the crew, then let the engine run till the ship ran aground

  • Yes you are correct. I thought I had a note on the name of the ship, but I can't find it.

  • Well at 1:20 Someone is moving inside the bridge. where did you get this info that this was a resault of a pirat attac?

  • it was on the news years ago...

  • What news ? which channel ? When ? Because I dont belive it..... you can clearly se someone moving inside the bridge after grounding. Not every gounding is a pirat attac. And yet persons on the web scream pirates every time a ship runs aground.

  • I think it was back in 2001 if I'm not mistaking. As far as I'm concerned you can believe what you want but I'm not exactlysure how you managed to see people inside the bridge on that poor quality video. If you google it perhaps you can find more info

  • 1:18-1:20 You can clearly se movment on the bridge. Ok then I will just assume that there is no ground to call this ther resault of a pirate attac. Innocent untill proven guilty.

  • as I said, I did not ask you to believe me. Do your research and find out for yourself.

  • Since it is imposible to se the name of the vessel that won´t be easy. But I will do as you suggest.... Not beliving you and assume that what you wrote was nothing but you private dreams in front of a computor.... More likly explanations for this typ of accident is that the OOW has fallen asleep and/or is drunk as hell. I have no proofe of this, in this case. But check out utube video "Russian Ship Accident because of a Drunken sailor" A simlar accident that was due to a drunken OOW.

  • very funny video i ever seen..hahahaha.the engine is still running during she hit aground.i think during sunrise maybe.that's also to clear view whatever ahead of them..

anybody know whose the ship captain?? i want to lough in his face while rolling on the ground..

  • Capt. Joseph Hazelwood

  • anyone no the full story on this?

  • it is going to tranceform it self to a car

  • Haha. Reminds me of Moriches Inlet

  • captain land ho!

what did you just call me?

  • disabled parking only

  • Do Not Reverse In.

  • OOOOpppppppppps

  • Dont drink and drive, let's smoke and fly

  • to night its jycko baaz!!! ! jycko baaz is a good band! Jycko baaz ftw

  • Honey, I'm home!

  • Notice the first movement on the bridge is at 1.20

  • Should've gone to Specsavers

  • drink and drive

  • What the hell? Was no one aboard?

  • cap'n needs 2 check his eyes outr

  • who the hell moved the island?????

  • dont sleep captain !!!:)

  • - full speed ahead ! ...

    - yes cap'ain...

rocks barely over the water can be seen near the bridge (on 2nd vision)

  • Hey! you can't park there!

  • Sometimes you wished you had a break. But you don´t. Droping the anchor is of course one way to stop a ship if the engine controll does not respond. But in this case the OOW could just have turned. Maybee he is sleeping or he is piss ass drunk, or both.

  • The captain need glasses! :-)

  • he gives speed after he collidet...

  • heres a little trick i picked up in china,turn the wheel;

  • couldnt get a parking spot in town.. theres fine.

  • anyone want to see a shipwreck , ya gotta see this 1 were the boat is being tossed like a rag doll , in the back ground you can hear a song being played over loudspeaker"something about a 3 hour tour and the wind being rough" anyways some fat guy was driving so go figure!

  • looks like to me he wanted to park close to the bridge , i dont see what the hoopla is here? geez hows he going to get off the boat out in the ocean ya gotta get close to the bridge so ya dont get your knickers wet.

  • lost steerage?

  • drunk sailing...-nods head- it'll get ya everytime

  • man he was hauling ass... dosnt even look like he was trying to turn.

  • Great job!

  • good job :D

  • One time we came across a ship that had been attacked by pirates. (yes, piracy is still a big problem in some parts of the world) When we boarded the ship, all of the electronics were missing (radio, radar, nav equip..) and the crew had all been tied up, so the ship was left to run on its same course indefinately. They're lucky we caught them before this happened. This might have been the work of pirates too; it's the only explanation that I can think of!

  • I can think of another. This small ships usally only have 2 navigators. Going watch 6 h on 6 h of. And thats only the watch, with extra job you can easyly get up to 16 h / day.

Finally the job has run the officer on watch into the ground and he falls asleep on the bridge. with only 2 AB (asleep),their is no lookout to wake him up. The easy way is to blame the OOW. But the problem is so much bigger then this. As long as we have ships with only 2 navigators we are going to see stuff like this.

  • That's another thought, very, very true. Looking at the video again, it confuses me a bit more because- correct me if I'm wrong- he has both his masthead light AND his anchor light on? Not sure what's up with the lighting configuration here, but he could have been recently at anchor.

  • Uuuuuh... Now I have looked for the 3.rd time but I just cant see any anchorlights. I see one mast head lights in the forward and one aft slightly higher then the one forward. Just

as they should acc. colreg. I dont see the green sidelight but its probebly there. Its dusk/dawn and maybe hard to see..... but I still think you should se the green sidelight.

  • cruisemate== Green sideligth?? Dont you mean [starboard side ?] Green.

  • Nope, I´m seeing the starboard side of the vessel. It´´s the green sidelight located on the starboard side that I have problem seeing. but I´m sure its there. He got hes toplights on. I´m guessing the dude i sleeping.

  • cruisemate- Maybe breaks failure ?? hehehe.

  • But you don´t. Droping the anchor is of course one way to stop a ship if the engine controll does not respond. But in this case the OOW could just have turned. Maybee he is sleeping or he is piss ass drunk, or both.

  • yes, they are called sidelights. Green for SB and red for PS.

  • Blackhawk61k I always thought they were called running lights !! [ Green starboard] and [ red port ].

But hey!! What do i know! Thank you anyway, have a nice day.

  • Don't worry, you're right! They're indeed known as running lights, though some still call them side lights. It's a matter of preference.

  • OlympicClassDana Thank you friend, I was beginning to doubt my skills of seamanship ! Came to think of it, like you said,it is a matter of preference. Have a nice day.

  • Sorry, i spell your name wrong !!

  • Ha, don't worry about it! Not a problem. :-)

  • It's amazing what you'll do when you run out of beer

  • Hey Captain we got a parking space now.

  • what the fuck lol one to meny beer's

  • Should be called "How to wake up suddenly".

  • Well captain, Lets start again shall we!!!, Port is left... thats the side you wear your wristwatch... !!! Got it?? Good, now the rest of us are off for a good ol' sleep, Wake us up when we hit harbour................

  • "He runs aground and the engine is still running after that!"

It is actually a quite common practise. That way the ship will not drift off ground again in gcase off hullbreakage wich again could lead to the loss of the vessel.

  • was there even anyone on it? there's no people moving about even after the hit. you'd expect them to be moving after that.

  • Anyone know the name of the ship / location?

  • oops?? lol someones not gonna have an easy time getting a new helmsman job

  • a.q uyuyormusun ne bok yiyiyorsun dallama ya :(

  • Warning! Do not listen to iPod while steering ship. ;)

  • The capt probably had autopilot on and lost track of time. Happens quite often

  • drink driving is a crime >_<

  • He runs aground and the engine is still running after that!

  • WTF?
