I never was a heavy Rod Stewart fan, but this version of the Temptation Classic, is very, very good. A great cover.  Sensitivity, passion, the 'bittersweet' feel of love lost... Rod, you did it right.

I was at this show. It was recorded at the Anaheim Convention Center right across the street from Disneyland and where the Winter NAMM show is every year.

It was not a bootleg and I bought the album when it came out. In fact, I still have it.

Uh...this wasn't a bootleg. It was an official release on Mercury in the US on vinyl and Warners on 8-track, and it filled cutout bins for another decade.

this brings bak memories.we were all 16 tripping on acid and caught a bus to western springs on a hot sunny sunday afternoon and caught this act live down here in lil ol new zealand.what stood out for me was he had a japanese dude playn bass and the fact it was a daytime concert.a first for n.z. bak in the early 70s.wow one of the memorable concerts i ever went to.

It was a GREAT concert! Will never forget Rod Stewart and The Faces singing "Angel." They were great on all songs!

@tacsnktsa I was at that concert, too! I dodged the bouncers and got up to the stage to give Rod a garter I bought at Knott's Berry Farm. That was *my* claim to fame...ha! Actually, there were two concerts at the Anaheim Convention Center...went to both of them...Rod was my favorite! My best friend and I spent the night in line at the Anaheim Convention Center to get good seats. Hard to believe that was almost 37 years ago. BTW, you might want to check eBay for a copy of the vinyl :) Peace 2U

I bought it on vinyl last year - great copy - had it back in the day and wore it out. The legend has it that the Faces were "faced" when they did this great live record. thanks for sharing.

This song is such a sleeper. One of the best of Rod's vocals and Ronnie's solo is near-sublime. Nothing to assuage the feeling of loss than a song like this. Good luck mate!

It was a good idea to change the name from The Small Faces to only The Faces after Steve Marriot left the group, cause you can't replace such a great singer like Steve. But Rod did more than a good job and gave the group literally a new face. I really like it!

This is just one of the many great songs on this album. This album is one of my favorite Faces albums, second only to every picture tells a story. Most lost, most unappreciated album ever. I had it, transfered it to my computer, and nobody downloaded it, what a shame. This is a lost gem.
