  • if you dont like them then just stay away from them instead of leaving them homeless

  • Jerry is a smart kid

  • I love the debate regarding what age it's ok to dress/dance like a slut. (it's not ok at any age... don't set double standards)

  • I dont care what you think about their lifestyle or whatever, if you condone making these people homeless, then there is something wrong with you.

  • If this were the States, they'd just have a trailer park. No trailer parks in the UK?

  • I do not agree with all this (Place of the woman, children dancing like that, etc...) . But hey, it's their life and I guess what outsiders say won't change their traditions and the way they think.

I just find it sad that they don't evolve with the society and are stuck in that lifestyle because they were born within it, raised in it and will probably die in that same lifestyle.

As for the eviction.. They need to buy the rights and to be conform with the rules! Just like normal people do.

  • I don't agree or like alot of the ways in which these people live or raise their children but I disagree with the evictions. They bought the land, its a free country let them build. Democracy people.

  • Jerry is such a little darling!

  • Maybe its because I'm Australian and haven't had any interaction with Travelers, but tearing up their homes is so wrong. They've bought the land and have homes on it, but the council think they can do that anyway! Where will they all go?? Its not like they were hurting anyone by staying on their own land. Travelers have their own culture and that should be respected, not shunned.

  • @SilkNinjaLily there are rules. You cannot just build anywhere, even if you own the land. If they had gone through the proper channels, they wouldn't be here.

  • @SilkNinjaLily normal people have to apply for planning permission, pay fees, council tax etc. why should they be different? the only other country I saw gypsies in is turkey, and most of em have bought homes years ago and moved on with the times in terms of trying to provide a better life for their kids eg health, education and a home. there are still a few gypsies that live in tents here but only 1 or 2 families and none of steal

  • @Ebolahill88 and @snazzyjazzy I get that, but ripping up their homes is still extreme, and by staying on the land its not like they were giving the locals flippin' brain tumours or anything.

  • @SilkNinjaLily if I build summit on my land without planning permission the council would also knock it down.

they could also buy house or build with permission like other gypsies allready have, and still keep their traditions, no matter how backward they are

  • @Ebolahill88 I'm not saying they should be treated differently because they're travellers, I just don't think its right that the council knocked down the houses, that's all.

  • @SilkNinjaLily if they didnt knock em down then they woulda been treating differently. saw a documentary in oz where your councils also knock down buildings that dont have permission.

its the same everywhere. they need to stop wasting money on rediculous weddings and buy a proper home where their kids can live safely and healthily

  • @Ebolahill88 Firstly, what do the Australian Councils have to do with this? Secondly, the houses shouldn't have been knocked down, full stop.

  • @SilkNinjaLily @SilkNinjaLily you said you from oz so I gave you an example how your country has the same laws and consequences.

BWT my neighbours (not gypsy) in turkey have just been told that their house will be knocked down because they didnt get planning permission (house been there like 10yrs) so yet another example.

everyone gotta follow the rules. if they think they being discriminated against then they should stop acting like scum who dont pay their way like every1 else

  • @Ebolahill88 So you think its right that they get their homes demolished??

  • @SilkNinjaLily if they not follow the rules yeah. why do you think they live in caravans in modern day? cause they dont wana pay council tax, mortgage, planning permission, tv licence etc. if they dont contribute, how can they be afforded equal rights

  • @Ebolahill88 Where do you think they should live then?

  • @SilkNinjaLily You can't just buy land and NOT pay taxes for it. As for 'Travelers' have their own culture and that should be respected', what this show doesn't reveal is that they sometimes move onto people's private property and harass the proper owners every time they are asked to leave. I don't know about you, but I think the proper owner and tax payer of that land 'should be respected'.

  • @rabidrabbitshuggers that might be true, but think of the civilizations that have been destroyed because of intruders who believe they "own" the land. Aborigines, Native Americans, etc.... They did own the land, but the council didn't want to have just give them permission to live there. who says they don't pay a property tax? the dresses that are on this show undoubtably cost a ton, so it's not like they don't have the money to pay a tax.

  • @SilkNinjaLily i doubt it is just because your Australian, have you ever met an Aborigine? it's kind of the same thing. (i recently learned about them.) It is very commendable for you to say this. As an American, I also know people who have been forced from their homes as well. If you can afford to live a certain place/house, then why not? If you can offend and respect a lot of people, then you gotta be doing something right. :)

  • @SilkNinjaLily i live in romania..a country invested with gypsis...think where do they have the money for such parties and dresses? they are not educated...have vey low class jobs...but they make money stealing....this show doesn't reavel that their main cash flow is by stealing....and in a normal society nobody builds homes where they want...come one...there are rules to be respected by everyone...if we start making exceptions for them then we should just all disrespect them.

  • gypsies in America!! Whose with me?!

  • youre are all hypocrits becaurse you dont understand the live off the gypsy,s end there stile off living i,am from the netherlands end my family are gypsy,s end whe have a open community everyone can come to are trailerkamp end whe are living with the homepeople end thats going very good end well so all off you who have comments off the gypsy,s fuck you all

  • @clitasaurus1 Agreed. He is definitely the highlight so far of the series. Could go far with an education.

  • can anyone tell me historically speaking why anyone had a problem w/ the travelers ?? i don't understand why, they are good people with families, they just mind their own business! They aren't hurting anyone, who cares?!?! Thats why i ask, maybe back in the day it was different.

  • @charissekristine are you kidding???

  • that little boy Jerry, what a bright and wise little one for his age!

  • every culture is different. people need to grow up and stop being so close-minded about things just because iits not how they live there life. i would leave my life in an instance to live the gypsy way of life. the little girls arent dancing like sluts, anyone who see's it like that are just retarded. the majority of gypsy people most likely grow up in loving environments, you can see how happy the kids are. the have confidence there carefree its great. remember all cultures have there flaws :)

  • @XxRazorableXx so Christina Aguilera doesn't dance slutty? 'cause that's one of the ppl that influence their dancing.

  • People say that ALL gypsies are scum, thieves, and bad people. Any culture has bad people. But they also have good people. There's no way you can look at a traveler like Jerry and say he's scum. God bless the travelers and anyone for that matter.

  • @babbles203 I think you are right. All cultures have bad people in them and have bad customs. It's easy to see the bad habits in other cultures. What I saw from this interesting series, is that there are lovely people within the traveller community. And I saw many travellers are as much trapped in certain habits of their culture (the machismo, not allowing girls to attend school etc.), as we often are trapped in our bad habits (work, stress, competition, unnecessary bureaucracy etc.).

  • @singsungify thank you! someone gets it!

  • @babbles203 You're welcome. And I have to be honest; I don't like all aspects of this way of life, but at the same time there seems to be so much warmth between some of their families and the life seems to be exciting at many occasions too. I can't imagine it's a dull life! Well, all the best to you and your friends and relatives! Take care!!

  • The girls have no idea what the dancing means and wear the skimpy outfits because they feel good in them. It's common knowledge that they're not having sex until marriage and that their morals are very strong which is why their actions are condoned by their parents no?

  • @amywillamsful But their dancing attracts the wrong attention such as sexual predators leading to rape or abduction. Little girls need to be playing with dolls, not dancing like a stripper!!!!

  • @Supablonde1 These women are not allowed to go anywhere alone, so even if they attract the attention of such people, it is not likely the predators would be successful because they are always in groups, they live in communities with men who would not hesitate to beat the daylights out of any predator who tried to mess with them, and these girls seem to have a bit more attitude than most girls, and probably wouldn't be so easily lured.

  • @gigglefeather801 Good point,i agree but i still say it doesnt look very child like the way they dance and carry on!

  • @Supablonde1 And also, most children who get taken by predators are just walking to school wearing normal clothes, or just playing, so even if these girls dressed normal and were just playing, it doesnt make them any safer

  • This show really does make me SAD .. close minded my azz . The little girls dresse and dance like sluts . The parents watch and think its cute . All the young teenage girls live for is to be housewives not doctors or teachers .. thats what they think their worth is .. a house wife that dresse and and dances like a slut how classy and also the guys beat them down for a kiss in america thats called "Sexual Assult" !!! There culture what culture exactly .. moblie home and through partysss hummm

  • these r not real roma, they r travelers some of them r bull shitting around.but they desevre a chance 2 live, but all of the haters r all nazis freaks anyway,,,,they killed families,,, my god babies, old people ....don't 4 get them,,,, do u remember what happien too them......

  • why dont u all put in and buy land?, the only way u wont get moved on is if u own the land...

  • @bzylizzy They do own the land! They're destroying and evict them based on prejudice using the excuse that they haven't got planning permission!

  • This show makes me sad...they are people and they have different views just like everyone else. Diveristy is truely dying

  • jerry's wise beyond his age :)

  • EVERYONE NEEDS 2 STOP JUDGING THERE CULTURE JUST LIKE ALL YOU OTHER RACES WANT EVERYONE 2 STOP JUDGING YOU ...SO IF YOU DONT WANT 2 BE JUDGED THEN DONT JUDGE THEM ! SERIOUSLY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH GYPSYS THEY HAVE THERE BADS AND THEN THEY HAVE THERE REAL GOOD ONES LIKE ALL RACES AND CULTURES! EVERYONE ON THIS PLANET HAVE DIFFERENT BELIEFES AND YES SOME ARE STRANGE AND WEIRD BUT WHO ARE WE 2 JUDGE WHEN EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT

  • How can some of you be so judgemental of their culture? Closed minds should come with closed mouths. Further on that note, where do you think they got their dance moves and dress ideas from? Celebrities from OUR culture. They even mention Shakira and Jordan.

  • Comment removed

  • There is NO way my six year old daughter would dress or dance like that.. it's SICK!

  • i think those 6 year olds have already lost their innocence. Children that age should be covering up and not dancing like a skank..

  • I don't mind the whole skimpy outfits and dancing, with small children and teenagers. They have very strong beliefs. This proves you can't judge a book my it's cover. (:

  • I like the background music at around 1:40... where can I find it?

  • @53Huffy

    You're so stupid

You're for ppl being kicked out of their homes because you don't like their culture?

Those lil girls might dress in a way that many societies don't agree with but they are not being harmed since they are in a "locked" community...meaning their mothers don't work and stay with their children 24/7

  • @53Huffy I gave you a thumbs down instead for making the ugliest, most bigoted statement I have ever heard. How's that? :)

And it seems plenty of other people agree with me as well. Maybe this will teach you before you show such disrespect to the rights of fellow human beings to own a home again. If you don't agree with their lifestyle at least have the decency to keep your mouth shut.

  • most the time i would have a problom with the way the kids dress and dance but with them im ok because they do have such strick feeling about sex and wateing till marage to be with a man

  • @autumf89 That made no sense really :p

  • I wonder if the hatred of the travelers is a subtle hatred of Irish and Catholics because it's illegal to discriminate against the other two. I'm just wondering because I'm Italian and Catholic and I know about hatred towards people like me.

  • @EyrtheFyre

The whole Irish vs English thing has been going on for centuries.

  • @EyrtheFyre i woudln't be surprised... a lot of it comes down to what bill said in the first episdoe - most people only know about gypsies what they read in the tabloids or via trash tv. most of that is utter bollocks. in poland, there are plenty of gypsies (mostly catholic too) - and most people don't have a clue as to what their lives are really like.

  • Anyone know the music in this scene?

  • Jerry should have an advice blog for people.

  • jerry i'll look after you <3 :) :( poor kid

  • i didnt start dancing like that until i was 16..

  • i didnt start dancing like that until i was 16..

  • that boy is so mature for his age.... how could they do that to a kid like that... he's so adorable

  • how can they just kick them out like that?? what the hell!!

  • Aw, Jerry is likeable.

  • just because their diffrent dosn`t mean they arn`t people

  • @megamakeupforever I'm all for respecting cultural differences. But there are certain ethics that people can comment on in other cultures without being "racist". If pedophilia were "normal" in a particular culture, it wouldn't be "racist" to disagree with it.

  • @megamakeupforever I'm all for respecting cultural differences. But there are certain ethics that people can comment on in other cultures without being "racist". If pedophilia were "normal" in a particular culture, it wouldn't be "racist" to disagree with it.

  • I understand wanting to preserve your culture but I still can't past the fact that they allow those young girls to dress and dance like that!! I would slap my ten yr old daughter silly if she every dressed or danced like that in public. Damn, this is a pedophiles wet dream! Change that part of your culture travelers....please!!

  • I cant believe these english people have the audacity to take away their caravans & give them a much better home! Thats terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <sarcasm I grew up in a trailer park outside of Dallas, so Im not picking on them, but our trailer stayed in the same place for 30yrs. When these people settle down & move, they leave a mess behind.

  • I WANT JERRY TO BE MY CHILD

  • that poor sweet little boy :( what a cutie

  • before watching this show, people should really do their research and actually find out what gypsies are all about. gypsies were always moving because societies would not let them stay on their land, since gypsies cheated, stole, ruined actual cultures, etc. i don't see how these gypsies, centuries later, are any different. they dont have a pure, real culture, they depend on other societies, they are dirty and disgusting. marrying at 16? 6 year olds dressed like whores? really? is this CULTURE?

  • I hope those bastards see what that little boy said

  • Jerry, Catherine's nephew, is the most noteworthy person in the whole series. I hope his family realizes what a treasure he is.

  • If they dont stand up and fight, they wont get to have there lil girls wear stripper clothes anymore. Pedos will be too upset. We cant have that can we now?

  • Jerry's a very insightful 12 year old

I dont understand! caravans are NOT buildings, so they're not in violation of building laws...

  • how/where do you find high heeled shoes for kids like that?

  • They bought the land.....So when some of them park caravans on the land, how is that "building"?? With having a caravan on a purchased lot....that is really "placing" something on it....because it was an object already built

  • @retrorespect81Maybe that's the reason why the government don't want to give them building permit because they're simply asking for the wrong papers. They should have been more specific and asked for mobile bed and kitchen permit that would allow them to place their trailers and drive away then leave their mess behind whenever they want to.

  • @fallinrain37

I whole heartedly agree with you. They have their way of living life just like people everywhere else in the of world from every different background. I think it's fascinating they go all out for three major events in life. Live it up while you can!

  • I don't understand...the government doesn't want them traveling around from place to place, but won't leave them alone when they buy proper land and build a settlement?

  • @MissHuggyface They are gypsy travelers. After months or few years utmost they will certainly leave and find another place to park their caravans. If they ask for building permit, then they should pay taxes, abide the rules and regulations like everyone else but the problem is they don't. They ignore laws. They are the ones who refuse to be part of the society, doing illegal acts and yet they always complain that other people discriminate and can't accept them.

  • JERRY COME HERE, I WILL HOUSE YOU.

  • its their culture...we have NO right or place to judge, It's fascinating and heartbreaking.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, the travelers actually own the land but they just don't have the permit to build houses/caravans, right?

  • @nikkijaneallison thats right but thats not the issue here

yes they need to get permits and they have done that but they are rejected many times

but where else are they meant to put their caravans

by denying them the right to have their caravans on their own land the gypsies have nowehere to go

the government just wants them to settle and slowly become a part of society

    the question is that ethical?

can you really deny a centuries old culture the right to live their own way?

  • @tarasc94Then they should obey the rules and regulations of their country. Pay tax, no illegal works and activities, no shitting everywhere, cleaning up their own mess, not causing disturbance to other people, etc. If they only try to discipline themselves a little, things wouldn't be that hard for them and for the government, but if they still refuse to follow the laws then they don't deserve to have the permit.

  • @needspeed13 you're right,

but they own that land, and ownage of the land should entitle to do what they want on their own land

the litter although wrong, is on their land

and it would be ignorant to stereotype ALL gypsies

i know people who arent gypsies and do all of the stuff you mentioned- dont pay taxes, annoy neighbours and what not

its wrong to discriminate on the actions of a few people

  • @tarasc94 I'm not stereotyping at all and I know other people do these things too and they also deserve equal punishment. All I'm saying is if those specific gypsies don't want to be treated like this in their own land they should obey the rules and guidelines because if they don't it's unfair for those who do. There's nothing wrong in preserving culture but ignoring the law is another thing.

  • these kids seem to be so mature

  • Poor little boy seeing his home demolished.

Wondering why they cannot buy land to put all their caravans on. Maybe they could cut down on dress costs and save up? ;-)

  • @dustbunnieboo they bought that land where they were evicted from...the town wouldn't let them build on it though because they were travellers

  • Jerry is probably the most likable person they've interviewed on this show :D So adorable!

  • Yet those 6 year olds have adopted the look and the moves from American music videos - and by all accounts, Traveller morals are a lot better than the rest of Western society when it comes to promiscuity

  • @fordmodelt2001au

Who cares where they've seen it. The entire point is that they dress like prostitutes. And their parents brought these hooker outfits for them. The gypsies talk about how they are portrayed as horrible ppl, well allowing your KIDS to dress like this doesnt exactly help!

  • @fordmodelt2001au

And i do not seen any morals, just rules on how to enslave women.

    - Cannot go on a date but can get married(aka Sold) at age 16.

    - Have to be a virgin, but are also allowed to dress like strippers.

    - Cannot marry or date outside their "race" but the same race boys are allowed to grab AKA sexually assault the girls.

I have nothing against the gypsies, but this show sadly shines a light on how some of them treat the women.

  • @miaangel247 Its is what I see too, so sad. Type of life style seems awful both jersy shore and these gypsies lifestyles are a disgrace to woman by teaching others that these types of behaviors are not just normal but healthy and good.

  • I agree- this is a disgrace letting sweet little children girate and wear outfits only suitable for sex workers!

  • @charlottejgibon what about non-gypsy 12 year olds doing this and worse? Middle class pre-teens giving blow jobs? Our western culture is fucked up. These little girls learned to dress and move like that from pop stars.

  • @yunahera It's equally disturbing.

  • There is something incredibly disturbing about 6 year old girls with spray tans wearing skimpy outfits and dancing provocatively.

  • @Bhilithinn That's their 'Tradition', me guess.

  • @Kaizerassasin I'm not sure if that's the real tradition of the real gypsies.

  • @Bhilithinn what about toddlers and tiaras?

  • @Bhilithinn

It looks exactly the same as child pageants and kids/teens dressing and dancing like that from the music videos and media these days. People sound more upset over these "Travelers/Gypsies" than they do about the losers on Jersey Shore, and it's only because of ignorance.

  • @lydianna That's a huge leap to assume that I wouldn't be upset about child pageants or that I would have any respect for people on Jersey Shore.

However, I was commenting on this particular video, not a million other subjects.

  • @lydianna Also, there is a huge difference between young teens dressing in a particular way because of what they see on music videos (which is not necessarily condoned by the parent), and a mother taking her 6 year old girl to get a spray tan and buy skimpy clothes.

  • @Bhilithinn

I wasn't considering that you would agree with that, I was simply stating that it's similar. I mean people in general when I said people seem more upset about them than Jersey Shore. I don't agree with dressing your young daughters like that or putting make up on them. I'm just commenting along with people's posts.

  • @Bhilithinn Stop putting NJ down.

  • @jumpoutatree Um Jersey Shore is a t.v. show....New Jersey is a state. Nowhere did I say I have a problem with NJ. That would be like me saying you're "anti-Canadian" just because you happen not to like a particular Canadian t.v. show.

  • @Bhilithinn It was a joke, retard.

  • @jumpoutatree Wow aren't we mature. Jokes don't always translate well on the internet. No one's ever told you that?

  • @Bhilithinn True but now let's compare this to the American show "Toddler's & Tiara's"

  • @crystalillusions Ick. Haven't seen it, not sure if I want to. I would imagine it's much worse in some ways.

  • @Bhilithinn though toddler's and tiara's isn't a great show at all it certainly doesn't have violent things like"grabbing"

  • @Bhilithinn I'm 18.. And I don't even do that type of stuff O_o

  • @Bhilithinn and its not just gypsy's, its no different from childrens beauty pagents. For example, Toddlers and Tiaras. In billions of "normal people" "non-travelers" everyday live's.

  • @Bhilithinn Oh yea, and they will have to be married in less then 10 years, too, or else they are considered too 'old'.

  • Comment removed

  • @Bhilithinn it is pop culture being adopted as gypsy culture...where little girls are raised to prioritized landing a husband any way possible which is gross

  • Jerry's such a sweet kid :)

  • @lexyp95 And he's so smart! It's terrible what they did to the poor kid and the other Travelers.

  • @lexyp95 sweetheart.
