@kittykat1960 Actually, it's more like what i imagine to be a fudge. It's slightly grainy from the milk powder (note: not lumpy, but grainy) - it's not a smooth texture, if that's what you meant.
I am sorry for the end result :( I will probably make a new batch next week or so, and will post it to show a "good" home made chocolate - maybe different consistencies also.
@smartlioncub Thank you, you are very kind! Indeed it's an easy and quick recipe... Unfortunately the result is quickly gone also! :)) Do try it, and I am sure you will love it!
That looks so yummy! I suppose you could add less milk powder if you like darker chocolate. Is there any way to make it with real milk instead of powder?
@nicolemaryam It indeed is yummy! It will harden over time, depending on how little butter you've put in it. And yes, the more cocoa powder you put, the darker, or the more milk powder, the more towards the "milk chocolate" side... As for the milk question: i think if you tried making it with milk, you'd end up with hot cocoa :) So no, to my knowledge, this recipe can be done only with milk powder.
@Schoko84 I'm thinking maybe if in the first step you used milk instead of water it could work? Though, then you'd have to be really careful not to burn it. I always burn milk when I try to boil it :P
So this makes a truffle mixture rather than a chocolate block then?
It's a shame that only the stuff made with too much milk powder is shown here and not how it should end up.
