  • this sound card has 2 inputs, line in and mic in. can i use both inputs at the same time? i need to know this asap.

  • @indianchipmunk2 Hi. I wondered the same thing, but unfortunately I haven't been able to get them to work simultaneously, there is an option to select MIC or Line in, in the drivers.

so it seems like its one or the other, not both at the same time. sorry.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • then, how were you using both of the decks for timecode?

  • @indianchipmunk2 I used the line input, and the line input on the on-board sound card, but I used both outputs from the UB-003.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • @viperfrank thanks for telling me. looks like that im going to have to buy the behringers :( since my onboard laptop soundcard has a lot of latency on its mic inputs.

  • @indianchipmunk2 I will say the Behringer UCA interfaces are good value for money, and I have noticed the latency is very low on them. and you will notice that they work really well with ASIO4ALL.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • @viperfrank whats your opinion on the new behringer uca222s?

  • @indianchipmunk2 Its about the same as the original UCA200, but it has the optical and headphone out as well ,essential if your using it for pod casting or something.

In fact the original 200 has the same circuit board, just some of the components are not present.

so the UCA 200 was kind of a beta test on Behringers part.

they are good though, and for the money you pay for them its very good value and with good sound quality and good low latency performance

    nice one!!!

  • External Sound-cards are great because you can use them on Laptops that have no line-in connection.

  • Mate I so agree with you, I got the same card and thought what a load of crap at first and shelved it, but ive since killed 2 soundblaster cards and started using this and its excellent, cost me £10, all this "ooh must get an M audiophile mega bucks unit" is rubbish, ive chucked everything at this external card and its a little monster.

  • great review. i have this for almost a year. i don't really know lot of things about sound, i'm happy with this device.

you said it doesn't work with mac. i'm using mine with a macbook pro and logitech x-530 surround system, never had any problem. movies in 5.1 and music sound great.

  • i saw this in maplin in beckton this saturday when i went to buy a nikkai 5m 3.5mm cable. after i put the box into my hands, i thought i would might aswell have a little look around the dj and computer area and i saw this soundcard and it made me think of your video and i told my dad that this is a cheap and good product, a professional told me about it.

  • can i use this instead of the behringer sound card for timecode?

  • Risk of electric shock do not open, so how do you get it out the cardboard box in safety.....

  • @lezbriddon you have to ware safety gloves, a hard hat, safety goggles and ear protection just encase the cardboard popping open damages your hearing.

you also have to take a heath and safety course to know how to pick it up without hurting your back.

and not to mention you have to call a qualified electrician to plug it all in. lol

so funny but in this day and age would it surprise you.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • This bloke thinks he's Danny chuffin Dyer. Hes spends half the time telling us what is on the box - like we need to know and the rest is taken up with some bullshit. Why not show us how it all connects up rather than come back after the event ? Why not show it in a real situation like having 4 speakers and one sub connected ?

Awful presentation, arrogant style (don't throw the packaging away it's far too macho for you) and not enough detail of the unit shown.

Go back to school boy !

  • love your vids even if i'm not interested particularly in what your talking about, they're always worth watching.

  • Thanks for reviewing one of our products, we are currently talking with our manufacturers about the packaging for these devices.

  • @MaplinTV no problem, its a good device and I have found it to be very useful.

I like cheap things that despite the price work well, it's one of the few things I have come across that is cheap and works well.

like the video I did on one of your laptop stands, it was a bargain and it's pukka, works great in my set up.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • Chingrish James! btw u shud post it in engrish(dot)com

  • Funny :p So that's where Andy Garcia is up to these day's!

  • @PhoneyThake yeah amongst advertising aftershave and coffee,

well we all got to make money some how and if he wants to smell like a tart and get high on Caffeine than thats cool.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • @wasssuppp08 I'm just quoting the maximum output of a USB port. If something tries to draw more than 500 mA from the port, the computer will shut it off.

  • "Risk of electric shock"? 5 volts at 500 mA isn't even enough to give you a tingle.

  • @vwestlife yeah I know, its funny that in this modern society company's fell like they have a legal obligation to cover there ass just in case some actually manages to get a shock off it.

the thing that's even more funny is that some one out there is stupid enough to lick it and than sue them for it shocking there tongue, and the company would probably have to pay compensation... tragic.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • Thanks for the info.

  • @gilboogie no problem, I'm glad you like the video.

    thanks for your comment.

    nice one!!!

  • Sounds like an engrish translation!! lol

  • Thats pretty good. I am going to look for something like this for my netbook. I am going to use my netbook with a program called trueRTA and I need to have a soundcard that has a line input. The netbook doesnt. With something like this, I can use my Netbook as an RTA :)
