@LuckySevenSamson Ironically, most of Robo's Techs are based on his magic stat, not Power. I'm not saying that the others are useless. However, Robo can pretty much do everything very well if you give him all your Magic Tabs. Other characters will pretty much just be more of the same. Plus, Lucca & Marle can naturally max out their Magic stat anyway.

Of all Spekkio's forms, the one you just fought is the one that always gave me the most trouble, relative to where you're at power-wise in the game. And hell yes to the above poster who mentioned Falcon Hit, that thing is ACES!
Last post I promise. If I were fighting Spekkio I would have played the conservative approach only for the first 3 or 4 rounds, then added Marle to the fighting ring with her Ice magic. And instead of the Silver Stud I'd probably equip Crono with the Magic Scarf and Red Katana to boost his Lightning 1 attack. Robo for healing, of course - maybe one or two Lasers when Spekkio gets weak.
well besides the leveling, tech grinding, and story progression, i guess whatever else is left would be pointless, tho at my last count, that would be pretty much.. nothing :P
Trust me when I say that there is really no need to grind at all in the game. If you do every side quest and get every ultimate weapon and armor, you'll be strong enough to kill the last boss without even having to stop and fight a single battle more.
I find that in order for the game to be challenging I either have to run away or avoid about half the random battles OR keep my equipment about two notched behind what it optimally should be at a given point in the game. Otherwise everything gets too easy really really quickly. Well, almost everything...
Which begs the question: Is there a "hardtype" version of this game anywhere? Maybe a hack or something where your characters are weaker and the enemies stronger?
Was a triple-post really necessary? Anyway, I think I saw one mentioned in a previous video's comments. Unfortunately, I forget any details beyond that. Try googling for it, I guess.

rom-world; also there appear to be several previously unreleased version of it that was found, do a google search and troll the forums you see there. i do stuff like this all the time; i'm the finder of rarities, my friends are always asking me to find them something obscure. i rarely fail :P
You do well to bring Frog along... the Spire dual tech is the only thing I've found that can do major damage in the first phase of the next epic boss fight.

i think i know why: see your happy go lucky style is so light hearted, you make it a pleasure to watch, not to mention you use alot of stuff all us older gamers can identify with: screw attack references, evil dead, YTP, Ventrilo harassment, etc, we catch lil glimpses into your world, and you keep us there

Rock Throw also yields one of the best dual techs in the game, Crono's mighty FALCON HIT! :D Clears out a lot of enemies in one shot if they're all in the same line of attack, it's a very useful dual tech.

They really changed Ayla's dialogue with the Laruba Elder, it has a deeper meaning in the Japanese version. She talks about how it is the Law of the Earth, loosers die and winners live, how the Reptites follow the rule as much as humans, and how all living things must not defile the law. This is why she tells the elder that he is dead inside, he just hides and doesn't respect the rule.

Charm is a MUST for Ayla. It is one of those Techs that pretty much eliminates the need to level grind at all.
