@MrMaryJanes AMEN! way to much dairy and the soy protien is a major problem. soy products like that are considdered the most mucus forming foods one can eat! GREEN SMOOTHIES ARE THE WAY PEOPLE. much more digestable and chock full of phydo nutrients. at least fruit smoothies if you cant take the greens, but try and use a little more greens each time and you will get use to it and end up liking it.
@MrMaryJanes I don't recall her claiming this was a natural food smoothie. Coffee, being the drippings from dried beans, isn't natural food anyway.
What she is offering is a meal replacement shake that helps the body while meeting the cravings or stubborn habits of people who want to be/eat healthier. For people that eat McDonalds, this is 1000% healthier than fast food and approximate cost is around 1.50 per serving. She also doesn't state that this should replace all meals.
I checked the your website diet.com and couldn't find this recipe. I do however have a question for you. When you add the coffee, are you pouring black coffee or coffee that has been sweetened?

EAS protein powder can be found anywhere! Not sure why you're having a tough time finding it! EAS is a cheap brand of protein powder. There are better brands out there.

I make this with vanilla protein powder, 1/3 cup of milk, a bit of cocoa, a teaspoon or so of instant coffee and ice cubes. It tastes like something you'd get at a cafe..

The creaminess from the yogurt will also help with the sweetness, but if you really have to 1 or 2 packets of sugar twin or nutrasweet might help. I stay away from the aspartame so I would try using stevia if sweetness is missing. Stevia is healthier and sweeter than sugar so if you try it make sure you read the label. one teaspoon is equivalent to almost 1/2 cup of white granulated sugar.
espresso is just coffee, it has no calories in it, so you can add espresso shots instead of plain coffee, I tried it with espresso and it came out pretty good actually

Hi it's Katrina-- I meant to answer this question-- you can make this without coffee if that is what you want to do! I like my coffee in the morning but you can just make a chocolate smoothie with a little vanilla or plain yogurt. You could also add a tbsp of peanut butter or almond butter :) Check out my channel! Pro should be calculated by BODY WEIGHT.. for a child it is 1g pro per Kg body weight per day. for the average adult who is inactive it is .9 for a moderately active adult it is 1.1-1.2 for an active adult it is 1.2-1.4 for someone who is a serious athlete it is 1.4-1.6 YOU SHOULD NOT GO ABOVE 1.7 as recommended by the ACSM guide do the Math.. excess cause liver damage, kidney, ketouria, and YOU CANT PRO LOAD..can only use so much pro a day..NO MORE
The protein power is 24 grams whey protein--- a gram of protein has 4 calories, then the yogurt has a couple grams and the little bit of milk has protein. = from 150-200 calories for the smoothie depending on how much milk you put in. Some protein powders are NOT just protein and they load carbs and sugar in them. So watch out for those ones if that is what you have been getting :) -Katrina

My fave after workout breakfast shake
is made with soy milk, frozen banana
and some lean fit whey protein powder:)
I recentlly just started putting some PB2 or swiss miss to add either peanut butter or chocolate flavour to it:)Its sooo yummy:)

Hi it's Katrina-- I meant to answer this question-- you can make this without coffee if that is what you want to do! I like my coffee in the morning but you can just make a chocolate smoothie with a little vanilla or plain yogurt. You could also add a tbsp of peanut butter or almond butter :) Check out my channel! This is great! I usually avoid protein shakes in the morning because I'm already drinking so much coffee, but this is the perfect way to get my caffeine AND my protein. Can't wait to try it!

Woo Hoo! Katrina's back! I wish Katrina would do more videos; but then she'd have to charge for a subscription because in order for her to do them she'd have to spend more time making them and time is money. Pro should be calculated by BODY WEIGHT.. for a child it is 1g pro per Kg body weight per day. for the average adult who is inactive it is .9 for a moderately active adult it is 1.1-1.2 for an active adult it is 1.2-1.4 for someone who is a serious athlete it is 1.4-1.6 YOU SHOULD NOT GO ABOVE 1.7 as recommended by the ACSM guide do the Math.. excess cause liver damage, kidney, ketouria, and YOU CANT PRO LOAD..can only use so much pro a day..NO MORE

How is it possible that this only has 150-200 calories??? The protein powder alone would have that much.

The protein power is 24 grams whey protein--- a gram of protein has 4 calories, then the yogurt has a couple grams and the little bit of milk has protein. = from 150-200 calories for the smoothie depending on how much milk you put in. Some protein powders are NOT just protein and they load carbs and sugar in them. So watch out for those ones if that is what you have been getting :) -Katrina
