Mirror's Edge - weird chapter 5 glitch

This happened to me on PS3. Havent been able to repeat it again, but was weird. The doorways are still there, but the walls are invisible.

this is fake u stopped recording when u opened the door and then when u stopped u just continued the game whitout recording.... then when u are at the rooftops you do that glitch so you can get down on the ground and continued recording when you were infront of the door.... so when you have done that glitch to get down there all the walls and such are gone

@YxtreaM No, I was actually just practicing the level and that happened. Then I started recording to show the glitch. After that I started the level over and recorded how I went through it to make the glitch happen. Since It's only happened to me once, I haven't been able to record it all at once. Also, there is no way to get down from the rooftops to make the area look like that. There are ways to get back down there, but the area does not look like that.

Wow this never happened to me. This looks like that level that you can get from the roof down to the ground by jumping on an invisible wall. The same glitch happens when you do that trick.

all you have todo is go as fast as u can then the door appears red when u enter it earlier than the game expected it leaves the level not properly loaded

@metalfnofin it's not the PS3, people have told me this happens on the xbox too. And I have also played both versions, and I thought the xbox one was worse. To each his own, I guess

@ovendonkey186 They're the exact same game, and why would you have played both? I really doubt you have, and I really doubt it is. Why would the company make the game different for different systems? Answer is..they wouldn't.

@sgtchicken Each system handles the game differently. I've played each version because I own it for PS3 and my neighbor owns an xbox. Also, DICE did make the game different on PC. Because that version came out a few months after the console versions, they changed certain things in the game, such as the timer stopping when you can't continue (like in chapter 2 waiting for the big door to open after you press the button.) The PS3 and xbox games are the same, but each console plays it differently

@ovendonkey186 I can understand why the game would be different on PC, but the game is the same on Xbox and PS3. It really comes down to which controller you like more, you own a PS3 so therefore you like the PS3 one better. After I read your comment I tried the game on my friend's PS3, and found the gameplay to be relatively the same, but getting used to the controller annoyed me. Just like I'm sure, somebody who played the PC version first, would think both Xbox and PS3 versions are worse.

Right after that part today, I was doing the speed run (with the help of your vids) and when I got to the elevator, it was just a black room. Couldn't press the button or anything, just had to restart. It was my best time at that point too. =(

i've had this happen to me many times. I usually find that by using reaction time in the room before the buggy one helps the room to load before you enter it. About half way through the room you'll notice a pause. This tells you that the room has loaded.
