Claro is a service of América Móviles not Telefónica! Telefónica offer the "Movistar" brand in latino America and Spain, and the "Telefónica O2" brand in Ireland, Czech Republic, Germany, UK and Slovakia.

Just a bit:) Telefónica uses for cellular services mark Movistar in latin America and O2 in most of Europe. O2 was originally the british mark and expand to Europe and Telefonica has bought the company.

Yeh there is speculation that Telefónica may expand the O2 brand to replace their Movistar wireless brand in Latin America and Spain but for the time being Telefónica have two wireless brands, Telefónica Movilés (Movistar) and Telefónica O2 Europe (O2).
