Thanks for explaining. This whistle regulation is totally unknown over here, in France. When someone is toplanding on a crowded place, we just manage, everybody is looking anyway.
Some years ago, flying in the Alps, the landing area was at the same time a place for soccer. When we were in an a landing approach, we yelled a bit. The players gave way, we both laughed, they continued playing and we bailed out as fast as possible.
btw Jennifer Larmore is wonderful as Orphee. I don't really get the fast tempo of the orchestra, tho. It makes the piece sounds upbeat. Good for Larmore she manages to get the pathos across nonetheless.
What a surprise and an excellent one. You did well mixing photos with the main video. Plus the splendid Euridice aria from good old Glucky.
When you went there the wind seemed a bit on the feeble side.
If ever you go back there, just ask some paraglider pilots how they manage with the whistle they are obliged to carry with them. I mean when you are flying the hands are on the brakes. So how use a whistle??
@Groeg41 you have plenty of room on either side of the window(the whistle area) so taking your hand off the brakes momentarily is not an issue, or you can just keep it in your mouth the whole time, lol,
as for the wind, it can be hit or miss there, it all depends on the time of year and the time of day, i learned how to fly there, and there were plenty of days where it was too strong for pg and only the hg'ers went out
For Wolverineks,
