Ray Palmer who founded Fate Magazine with Richard Shaver, after they discovered the earth was hollow to disclose The Dero Mystery, sdited this magazine for a while in the 1930's.
This was the third program of the series, originally broadcast on April 22, 1950, adapted by Clarice Ross from Kurt Vonnegut's classic short story. Unfortunately, Ross was forced to alter it somewhat to reflect the growing impact of the "Cold War" on the United States (and probably not to "frighten" listeners); the denouement is not as chilling as the one Vonnegut wrote.
