Thats kinda the point. I am sure their are lots of cars that will 'spank' the 135. When you look at it based on performance vs value the TTS is overpriced IMO.
I can respect that. I do wish the TTS was the motor they used in the entry level 2.0T (cuz that seem a little underpowered for the price). I can appreciate your take on it. Thanks for chatting it up with me!
dont necessarily agree. :) 135i is no match for ttrs....ttrs goes 0-100 in 4.5 seconds. that is quite amazing. in the city in narrow cornering it must be a beast.
i am not arguing just saying its a nice car. everyone has an opinion
I think you mean the TTS not RS and Motortrend clocks its 0-62 speed at 5.2. 135i 4.7. If you mean the RS, that thing will be twice the price of a 135 IF it hits NA.
the orange signal lights are only that way in america. and i agree i dont like it either... ive just ordered mine, after having my 2009 TT 2L TurboFSI for only 7 months ;-) and in europe the BHP is 272 not 265!
roll on november 09 and my new TTS S-tronic 272bhp!
btw - the back window is a coupe window, not a hatchback window.......
That's so true! Thanks for sharing that donovanbrett, I forgot in America we have some regulations about that stuff. My apologies about calling the rear window a hatch, you're right it's a coupe!
The Audi TTS is not faster than a Boxster S it would stand a chance at keeping up in the twisties but in a straight forget about it. Now I love them both and own a Boxster S, and am now looking at a TT Quattro to buy. Please quit saying Porsche wrong it pronounced Porsch-UH NOT Porsche with a silent E and I'v always wanted to be the first comment
Thanks for your comment! I think the Porsche S is certainly a faster car when driving straight. I had the opportunity to drive both cars at Phoenix International Raceway and clocked faster track times in the TT S. The Boxster drove beautifully, though. You're right about the pronunciation, I will work on that. Would you like to see me do more videos on Porsche? I am a huge huge fan. I have owned a 993, 911 SC, and 944 Turbo. Would love to hear your thoughts as a porsche owner.
love everything about the TTS performance-wise... but the price is too high, the body style is bland IMO, and pretty feminine. Almost there...

ya the price is heavy, but fairly justifiable (but a bit over priced)... design is certainly soft

Great video i can't decide between the TTS coupe, TTS cab, Cayman S or the Boxster S your video made the decision harder.

i really do like the cayman S. weirdly im not a fan of the TTS Roadster, and I usually like Roadsters!

the TT RS is already out and it will not get an automatic transmission which sucks for me.

its DSG tho right? thats not to bad. I agree tho, a 6 speed might be a nice option to offer.
motormouthtv 2 years ago
yes the DSG would be awesome. but from what i heard its not gonna be possible tho.
love the paddleshifts. I dont like manual. in traffic it is too annoying. :))))

Another over-priced Audi IMO. In Canada this thing starts at 58k. Only 13k short of the new M3. Outrageous.
The best bang for the buck by far is the BMW 135i.
MrRoboto 2 years ago
wow thats expensive in Canada!! 13,000 is still alot of dough! the ar just spanked the 135i in Car and Driver magazine...

yes sorry i mesread your comment sorry for that :)
then yes 135i -5.3sec
audi tts - 5.2 sec
so quite similiar. then it just depends on what you prefer. I never had an audi so i dont know.
had a bmw 745i
then cls 350 cgi
then bmw 750Li
and now have a c63 amg
co I am more of a mercedes bmw person. :)

Actually the manufactures numbers for the 135 are known to be understated. 4.7sec is widely accepted 0-60 ;-) Not bad for the price you pay.
