  • 1 Corinthians says that we are the temple of the Holy Ghost and we are not our own. We have been bought with a price by the blood of Jesus Christ. So my question to anyone claiming to be christian is did you get permission to get a tattoo from the one whom you now belong to and serve?

  • hahahhahaha.. it's body art, for you to express yourself, an accessory. I don't personally want tattoos and piercings but i accept those who have them and have to problems with them at all..

  • @miko18750 What?

  • If a person feels tattoos are wrong, then they should not do it. if they feel in their heart that it's a sin, and it will cause them to stumble, then don't do it. plain and simple.

  • It is almost laughable that this video exists. What keeps me from outright laughing at this, is the fact that he is completely serious. This is a 30 minute video about how tattoos are sinful. There are SO many legitimate issues facing Christians today, and this video is almost insulting to those legitimate issues. What if the tattoo is a scripture or a symbol that serves as a reminder to be godly?

  • @JakeOfOwens You can laugh all you want, but a tattoo stands for everything a christian shouldn't. It doesn't matterr what the tattoo is, if you place a mark on your body to be seen it is for one reason...vainity...last time I checked christian's were not suppose to be vain and last time I checked, sin is sin, so all sin is important to cover, and this is not the only topic covered. Go to my channel for more videos.

  • @paden981 It is not only for vanity. I have mine for me to look at, and they each have a special significance. They are not just to have everyone ooh and aah over. This vanity argument would work against makeup and jewelry, too.

  • @coffeedrinkingpreach It doesn't matter if you got them for yourself, if you got them and they draw undue attention to YOU then it is vainity. Bottom line. And yes it would apply to many other things such as exccesive jewelry. Either way, you can not justify getting one from the bible, so my question is this. Why get a tattoo? You DO NOT have to have one, do you?

  • @paden981 I think Jesus had words to say to some folks who were like you. Check Matthew 23: 25-28. I noticed you had a wedding ring. By the logic of argument, that wedding ring is vanity, even though the purpose of it is to remind you of your covenant with your wife. What if my tattoo is to remind me of my covenant with God as the bride of Christ? There are a number of theological flaws in your comment, and I'd love to talk to you about them, but there is simply not enough room in this comment.

  • @paden981 Send me a pm and we can talk about. Btw, I am not the man in this video and I find tattoos to be quite differnt than wedding rings.

  • I respect the opinion but the only question I have to you is this. What does this mean for people that have tattoos of Jesus or bible verses on them?

  • @fatpatty99 I will say this to your question, no matter what the tattoo is, a person gets it in one of two areas. Either in a visible area of the body or a non visible area of the body. If you get it to be seen, then it is vain...even if it is a bible verse. If you get it where it can't be seen, then the person who gave it to you shouldn't have been looking there anyway...We are called to walk in the light as He is in the light, that He might shine through us through our actions and behavior...

  • @paden981 That doesn't even answer my question at all. You should have stopped when you said there is no verse in the bible that says getting a tattoo is a sin. There is nothing to support what you are saying other than your opinion. I think you should not try to tell people what is sin and what is not unless you have a black and white reason that is inspired by God that proves it so.

  • @fatpatty99 Shalom~ I pray that all is good. Please understand this that a tattoo is a tattoo. It does not matter if it has Jesus or bible verses on them. Ask yourself this question what is the difference between Lil Wayne having a symbol that represents Jesus Christ and Lecrae having a symbol that represents Jesus Christ?

    Shalom~NXLEVEL

  • You people make me sick. I doubt god cares for us to put ink in our skin. The culture back then was different and so are we.

  • @roguescorch you should take some medicine :D

  • we are supposed to be different. tattoos were used for slaves and pagans. id rather be for the Lord not heathen practices.

  • As christian we should not temp the lord, "thou shalt not tempt the lord thy god" because its a sin, why put your body in the part of sickness, expect d lord to protect you from skin disease, hiv and more, then asks the lord to heal u, thats 4 the devil and his children not for Gods people, justify it all you want ,but its wrong. I love y'all man, but repent because your'e causing your bro and sisters in christ 2 stumble, because look what it is doing causing a lot of division in d body of christ.

  • I really would like a tattoo but I'm confused and not sure what to do I have it all out, knowing what I want and everything and me having a tattoo feels like it would complete me as a person. But I don't know if it would complete my faith, I also heard about a tattoo that Jesus had across his thigh or something like that, please help that would mean alot

  • @XxadrenalinjunkyxX My bro in chris, i love you man and i wouldn't lie to you, as a christian if someone need help, and you could help, would you help? do you have to take more than an hour to think if you should help them? bro we have the spirit of God in us, it tell us what to do anything that dont feel good dont do it, if getting a tattoo is not easy say telling the truth them dont do it, pls dont do it, love you bro. look how its causing we all as christian to fight.

  • @XxadrenalinjunkyxX its the joy, love, work of satan to see us like this fighting, what can you do to stop this? leave tattoo to the world, we are not of this world. we are the children of the living God, amen

  • @XxadrenalinjunkyxX

    <3

    k Babe

    Satin...

  • thou shalt not inject heroin hahaha... i love how you compare that to tattoos... basically the dumbest video ever... you are judgmental and would never make it in most churches today... at least none that were established after 1920 haha very old school.. grow up... Jesus had a tattoo, his name is stated as "written on his side"... good luck attracting non believers u judgmental old fart

  • it makes me upset that your slamming things like peircings and tatoos when christanity is about whats on the inside i love the lord and i have stretched ears dose that make me not a christan? my pastor has many tatoos,is he not a christan?

  • Keep preaching hate and judgement and find fewer and fewer followers.

  • @unclebucktattoo Why dont you try shuting your mouth and opening your ears? There isnt any hate coming from this video. If there is anything to be said about the reasons behind this video and the message presented, love would sum it all up.

  • This is a true Christian doing the true lords work

  • Amen! This video should be seen by all Christians.

  • wish most pastors would show their talents other than just preaching.

  • TO paden 981 it says do not cut the side of your beards also in levitcus. If people are looking for approval of man that is more of a sin.

  • @ifwefindsomething I agree. The video also makes the point though that we are not under the old law. I agree though that we should not do things for the glory of man. As christians our goal should be to bring the glory to Christ. I don't see how this can be done with tattoos.

  • @ifwefindsomething yeh this guy is weirdly legalistic, it's a simple matter that it is a person's choice, personally as a born again believer in Jesus, i think tattoos and piercings are wrong, sin, they damage you, skin cancer, & a host of other problems, & this guy acted so spiritual did he miss the part that when you get tattoos and piercings they open doorways for demons to come in and possess you just like acupuncture is a doorway for demons, i love all and Jesus can heal

  • @rockergod789 You reject christianity becasue of your own personal reasons. MEssage me if you want to talk about it but dont cuss on my videos. Thanks.

  • @myXskin You don't sound like you are a christian...Message me so we can talk about it.

  • Love this, very eye opening thank you!

  • GOD said don't mark your skin...period!!! why is this even questioned??..fools!!

  • @scruffyrunkin Ignorance.... you have it.

  • @natemcd442 you are an absolute universal degree R.V.Z equilibrium failure from a cracked corner stone that turns easternly ( trust me on this...you don't understand...but you are an R.V.Z failure).....you might as well walk around with your ss# stamped to your forhead because you stand on tiles that are perpendicular...and not in the center of an eight pointed sun

  • @scruffyrunkin Like I said, ignorance... you have it. But hey, who am I to judge? God still loves you, and what the heck, if he does so do I.

  • @scruffyrunkin This video is not for tattoos if you didn't watch all of it.

  • @scruffyrunkin The bible also says in the same book not to shave the edge of your beard....i'm not saying tattoos are right or wrong, im just saying it seems like some laws from the old testament past.

  • @scruffyrunkin A loving god would do something about war and injustice, instead of caring about works of art on our bodies

  • Also I have 5 tattoos and I plan on getting more! I love them and I have no regrets! Plus I have a nose piercing and my ears have been pierced since I was a baby. Oh and my tattoo parlor is not seedy. It's name is A Different Drummer and they are the best place and town, and I don't care who sees me in there. I also know a pastor who has tattoos and piercings, and you know what people come to his church! That might be a shock to you :O People with tattoos are NOT bad!

  • @Bandgeekprincess2010 This video NEVER said people with tattoos are bad! Watch the whole video and examine what the Bible has to say. You obviously have a hard heart and could care less about anything that goes against your preconcieved notions. Just from listening to you I can tell this, you think that you are a christian and you are a vain person. I never read in the Bible where christians were suppose to be vain?!? Yet that is the whole point of a tattoo and peircing. Message me if you want.

  • @paden981 You pretty much implied that people with tattoos are bad (and I did watch the whole video). And you know NOTHING about my heart because you don't even know me, only God does. And that also means that God is the only one that can judge me. And everyone in the world is pretty much vain. You can't tell me you don't know a female that has never cut/dyed her hair or worn make up. That's just a vain as getting a tattoo. Its changing their appearance, but yes its not as permanent as a tattoo.

  • @Bandgeekprincess2010 So you admit that a tattoo is vain and only serves the purpose of looking at it? Then why are you a proponet of such an ungodly act? Also please watch the whole video. Thanks.

message me if you realy want to talk about this.

  • "Its not good for a Christian to go to a bar" or "there are places Christians just shouldn't go" That makes NO scene. Jesus went to the equivalent of those places in the bible days. We need to reach out to those people because they sure aren't going to come to a church! My mother always told me that if Jesus came back today right now this minute he wouldn't be in a church. You know why? because those people are already saved! He would be at the bar trying to talking to the people down there!

  • I have a Chi Rho tattoo and my upper left arm, which is a Christian symbol; for me it has opened the door to share my faith with others that I would normally not have. As long as you have the money to buy one and it isn't something that is obviously against Christianity I believe that it is okay to get one. On a side note it is not baptism that washes away our sins, but the blood of Jesus. Baptism is merely an outward symbol of something that has taken place on the inside.

  • @znorwood2012 The reason you wouldnt have been able to share your faith without that tattoo has nothing to do with that tattoo. It has everything to do with your charchter and faith in Jesus Christ. I guarantee any person you share your faith with due to a tattoo has a bottom line factor of your own personality and desire to share your faith. On a side note, go read what mark 16:16, acts 2:38, and acts 22:16 says and get back to me on baptism. Message me to talk further if you like.

  • @paden981 For one thing I have only had the tattoo for a little over a year now and I have shared my faith before that. Also I have shared my faith with people after getting the tattoo and not even brought up the fact that I have a tattoo. If your saying that baptism is what washes away our sins; what about people that have become saved and then die before they are baptized; are they going to hell. What about Romans 4:5 and 1 Corinthians 1:17.

  • @znorwood2012 I will message you so we have more room to type.

  • @Dozerr1 I went after your vocabulary because it was very low. I hoped you would speak more intelligent. Oh well, message me when you want to have a serious conversation.

    Have a great day!

  • @cja2369 You used the f word 3 times out of the seventeen words you used. Please refrain from doing so. That way I dont have to delete your comments.

Thanks and have a great day!

    Paden

  • @Dozerr1 Get a better vocabulary before posting on my videos if you are going to talk like that.

  • @Dozerr1 Athiesm is for the weak who wont sumbit to authority. The christian life is far much harder than the athiest's life.

  • I think if you could think for yourself, we would all be better off. quit referencing the biggest lie on the planet every time you take a step. IF a god did exist, he would be happier knowing that we are not ALL sheep. The religious people i know are the most gossip loving, hypocritical, naive jokers around. if you think body art is going to stonewall your eternal salvation, you have WWAAYYYYY bigger problems than getting ink. THINK FOR YOURSELF!!!!! i cant believe organized religion isnt banned

  • @mannic55 You think that i think? Interesting, message me and lets talk about it. Or you can check out some of my videos about the bible and its accuracy.

  • @paden981

I think you dont think, thats the problem. You probably reference the bible for guidance instead of following your gut, desires, or common sense.

  • @mannic55 Maybe the problem is you don't know what to believe? I would rather follow a book from my creator than a feeling I have.

  • @paden981

i know i refuse to believe in a son of god created by a "virgin". I think its more likely she was a slut and too ashamed to admit it, and people were too stupid to believe otherwise. I would rather trust my gut or feelings(which do exist) before i rely on the biggest lie ever told to get me through the day. You are a braver person than i am for perpetuating the longest telephone game ever. haha "creator", of hope and dreams maybe. Nothing more.

  • @mannic55 Explain to me how a book was written over several thousand years by over 40 authors and there is not one valid contradiction to it? Explain to me how there are things written in the book such as the water cycle and the earth being a sphere way before man ever discovered such? Explain to me how there are so many prophecies which came true hundreds of years later? Explain to me how it is the most perserved book out of all manuscripts today? Message me when you are ready to face the facts

  • @paden981 There have been stupid and naive people since the beginning of time. Just because it has been COPIED so many times doesnt make it real. Hit a soft spot did i? i expected that from a person such as yourself. You religious types are always offended when someone has an opposing idea. "if you dont agree with me, you're wrong!" i dont think so chief. If it helps you sleep at night, by all means, read your bedtime story. Enjoy life with your blinders on. "facts"..........pppfffffffff.

  • @mannic55 I dont get mad over a comment on youtube.

  • @banghahaudead Please dont cuss on my videos. Thanks.

  • @paden981 go fuck yourself

  • When I look at the Hindu gods, they have all kinds of piercings and tatoos. Also witchcraft and demonic practices of tribal people also seems to involve tatoos and piercings, not to mention drugs. Thus, I would have to argue that these things are not merely decoration, but have a deeper darker root.

  • thanks. i learned a lot of things

  • Tattooing, or "getting inked" does NOT involve "burning" ink into the skin. Ink is introduced into the dermal layers of skin through the use of a set of needles that are VERY small. (Try thinner than the thinnest sewing needle in your grandma's sewing basket!) Now, how about if I wanted to get a tat of a big wooden cross, with a banner across it that says "John 3:16" on my arm? Heck yeah, I want EVERYONE to see it!

  • @slipstick99 Then all I can tell you is that you seem to want the glory God deserves. The Bible says walk in the light as He is in the light. Not get a tattoo to show you are a christian.

  • When he said about the heroin... The bible does say to take care of your body... And shooting up heroin is not taking care of your body. Tattoos is not harmful so I really don't see a problem.

  • @gsFlipGame He gave plenty of medical facts dealing with the harm of tattoos from a health aspect. I also dont see how you can say burning ink into your skin is not harmful? Do you enjoy getting tattoos? I dont think so. Message me to talk more indepth about this.

  • @paden981 of course I enjoying getting tattoo's, if i didn't i wouldnt

  • @MindGames96 Oh so you like people burning you? Can I come cut your arm? We can make some scar tats? I am reffering to the actualy process of getting a tattoo and the answere is that any sane human being would not enjoy them because they are painful. You also probably wont admit this but the only reason you have one is because you want it to look good and you want people to see it. This is vainity however you want to look at it. Message me if you want to talk any more about this.

  • @paden981 Can you tattoo me, no, because you arent a tattoo artist. And no they don't hurt at all when I get one done, usually they are so relaxing I could almost fall asleep, or feel like on vacation at some restful spot.

And dont want them for vanity's sake, but because they are important to me, things in life I enjoy, reminders of life lessons, and virtues I hold dear to me, not what someone else thinks.

Are you the guy from the video, because he seems more open minded about it than you do.

  • @MindGames96 No I am not the man from the video. You correct in that I am very closed mined about the topic because whether you want a tattoo to be seen by men or not it mostly likely is. That is whole purpose of a tattoo. You get one either to look at yourself or for someone else to look at. If you get one hidden then someone looked at your body in place they maybe shouldnt have been looking. Either way there is no authority for them in the Bible and they hold no place in my walk as a christian

  • @paden981 are you shaved, long hippy hair as well? Bible also states you shouldnt cut your hair. If your going by 1 Law of God, you gotta go by all of them. Cant pick and choose. Would you sacrifice your son on God's command, or let your duaghters be raped by an angry mob? If your mother is a heroin addicted and your father a bigoted and sexually abusive would you honor and obey them?

  • @MindGames96 I am pretty sure you are not a christian so let me advise you not to try and bring the bible from your perspective as it will do you know good. You took many things just then that you probably heard and tried to use them to your advantage in way that they are not used in the Bible. if you actualy want to discuss this message me and I will answere any questions and concerns you have. I would love to talk.

  • Comment removed

  • @paden981 took from the bible in ways they are not used.........what, like you did? What I dont get is why you are uploading a message from show one who is lets 60/40 on this issue when you are more 90/10, why spead a message you dont believe in, unless your trying to discredit it, but then wouldnt it be better to find a message that conveys what you believe, and agree with it. Easier to build yours, then destroys someone elses

  • @MindGames96 Your are confusing me. Send me a message if you want to talk so you are limited with the amount of words you can use.

  • @paden981 - Neither is there any authority AGAINST them. I think the passage you're looking for is "All things may be lawful, but not all things edify."

  • @slipstick99 If I do something without authority from God please explain to me how that is not adding to his word by doing something other than what he commanded? Please look nadab and nibihu.

  • your saying give your money to god and not tattoos people give all there money to wall street they spend all our money and we have to pay high taxes to support those who steal from us and who cares if some one has tatts you can judge them a tattoo doesnt make a sinfull person a sinfull person makes you sinfull today people who regret tatts only do soo because they dont think there isnt a resion or a msg behind that tattoo they do it because social media puts it out there and people copy

  • @italo101692araujo I believe you missed the point entirly. If someone is barely making ends meet its not smart to go out and get a bunch of tattoos. For you to pick this one out with all the other points made is rather strange. Tattoos are sinful by the bible's standards. He also isnt saying you have to give all your money to God. He is saying be a good steward of your money. The bottom line is that they are vain and a christian should not have them.

  • @paden981 your right its not smart to spend money you dont have on a tat but its also not smart to give wt you dont gave or wat you bearly have to a church ither and soo if the bible says its not right you make the chose on wat is right for you to put on your body

  • @italo101692araujo Well that is the choice I am making based off the bible that tattoos are not for a christians. They have no place in faith.

  • @italo101692araujo yett you still judge those who have em for no resion sad

  • @italo101692araujo What? I dont judge people for no reason at all. It actualy isnt even me judging its the Bible judging. I am simply relaying the message. I also dont walk around condeming people for having them. I know many people with them and I dont ridicule them for having them. That was not even the purpose of this video. Please watch again if you thought it was. I would only have a real problem with someone getting one if they were a christian when thet got it and knew better.

  • ok i have tattoos and i dont care what anyone thinks....like the good old saying go only God can judge me...im pretty sure it dont matter how meany tattoos i get if i love God i pretty sure he is going to love me back

  • @azn5220 So you will base your reasoning and authority off a good old saying? Look, I am not trying to belittle you in any way but please realize that when we have questions about our christian lifestyle, we need to go back to the book for authority in what we do. Please dont cast off an oppsing view simply because it is opposing. Consider it and reason with it to decide what is truth. I would be glad to talk further if you want to message me.

  • Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Is or does the tattoo glorify you and your flesh or the master, is it a stumbling block for someone else, the body is the temple or your house, in the old testament they should write on the door posts, By faith not by works, my faith by my works... Some would say even facial hair is a part of that pride of the flesh.... Joseph shaved and presented himself to the king when he came out of the prison... Tramp stamp.. hmmm Just sayin...

  • @tanis1047 Good points, but can I even get a tattoo that is suppose to glorify God without bringing attention to myself? They are vain and as Christians we are suppose to walk in the light as He is in the light. Not do things to draw attention to us but rather Christ!

  • I am a Christian thinking about getting a tattoo. One that will glorify God. I've searched scripture and opinions and that brought me here and it just seems like this was slightly biased. Also this video made me realize that looking to others for their opinion or interpretation will do me no good. I'm going to pray about it for myself. God bless, and have a good night!

  • @jesus88ii Congratulations! I am so glad to hear you say that! You shouldn't take other peoples word for anything! And yes this video is biased. It firmly stands against tattoos and peircings. The only thing is, this video gives the scripture to back it up. The truth is, you have to read your bible and figure this out. It is good to pray about it. But remeber God isnt going to give you some miracoulus revelation when He already answered this issue in His word. Message me if you want to talk more

  • Are peircings bad yes or no

  • @jeffhardy664 The video answeres this question. Ask yourself what part of faith do excessive piercings fall under? Ask how is this glorifying God? What authority do I have to do this? Why am I doing this and how will effect me and the way people see me?

  • Is it right to put signs over every person? We are all people no matter if god exists or not. If god is white , black, yellow, with 100 hands , 2 heads or whatever. Why should i read a book that was written 2000 years ago to see if it "lets" me modify my body?

  • @azagdoth Because that book has authority. Let me throw some facts about the bible at you so you will know why you should read it. 1. It was written over a period of 2000 years, with 40 authors. 2. It has not one single contradiction in it. 3. It has things written about that man had know idea of when it was written. Examples would be the water cycle or the earth being a sphere. 4. There are prochies such as alexander the great that were predicted 200 years prior to the even. Msg me for mor info

  • MATTHEW 5:17 LAW STILLS APPLY!!!!!

  • BTW, wearing make-up is also modifying your body, Don't cut your beard anymore buddy.

  • Here is the problem with this video. This is sick and wrong and we wonder why the church can't win people to Christ. Jewish culture that Jesus grew up they had customary and traditional piercings. I'm a christian and I have tattoos and piercings. I plan on getting many more them to glorify the lord. God is using my life as a ministry and this is insulting, degrading, demeaning, and downright a misrepresentation of the heart of God. I'm praying for this man. This is cultism and lawmaking.

  • @ValhallaMaYnE Where do you get off making such a claim? This is in no way insulting or degrading. I know many people who have tattoos who watched this and did not feel offended even though they disagreed. If you dont agree then fine. Truth is that you cant give me a bibilical answere showing anything said here was wrong. You self justify your tattoos by your authority not by the Bible or God. Find me biblical authority for your tattoos! You cant! They are vain and have no part of faith Be honst

  • So yesterday i thought i'd be smart & tried making fake piercings, out of a spiral wire, because it's not "cutting the flesh" & as i cut the wire, the deep flesh of my hand also got caught and cut into aswell.

that was a spankin from God to me..

I knew i wasn't supposed to be doing it in the first place, but like a stubborn human, i did what i wanted to. Thus God allowed me to cut my hand open.

  • @NatPradoTheory i think you are just an idiot that cut himself. Thats not God... thats you

  • @ValhallaMaYnE no that's not it..You just don't understand. You are deaf and blind to the truth.

God bless and have a great day May God have mercy on you.

  • i believe it's a personal conviction, God completely convicted me from any piercings whatsoever... Even earrings. & i'm a girl.. He won't even let me have fake ones either! if you feel wrong as your about to get a piercing, then it probly is. Especially if your a christian... God is gonna let his children know by the holy spirit that your doing something wrong. I know theres alot of "women of God" in church that have simple earings but if i can't have a nose ring than i don't want anything...

  • I haven't a single tat or piercing.............

    I'MA FIRIN MA LAZOR!!

  • LOL

humans made robots and narrowminded by a bible

it's the 21st century you conservative fuck!

  • @iliveforthemaga its beyond conservatism bro, its cultic

  • Comment removed

  • Another point...

Your argument seems to be based upon "if society says it is not OK, it is not OK for a Christian".

What did society say about Christ hanging with tax collectors and prostitutes? The Samaritan woman? Lepers?

Aren't you setting yourself up as a modern day Pharisee with such teachings?

  • @fresnelmusic his point is still valid. Using good judgement is what he trying to say. It is not a sin to hang with tax collectors and prostitutes but it is ill advised. However, Jesus is one man and had a reason. He was not hanging and partying with them, but simply trying to spread the word to those society rejects the most. Tattoos are not a sin, but it is not christ-like either. All the Bible is saying is think and use your head. People with tattoos are still Christians. Read the Bible again

  • @katjack1991 Having tattoos does not make you any less of a Christian either. It just makes it easier to witness and get jobs and people not form stereotypes that already exists because of things you can't control. However, if you do have tattoos you can use it to your advantage and reach out to people that feel that shame. One thing about our Lord is that He holds no grudges, so we should not either.

  • @katjack1991 I might be wrong, but there is another key point you may have missed. That point is vainity. Vainity is not a trait that a Christian should desire. You need to always ask yourself how is what I am doing affecting my walk with GOd. The truth is Jesus would not have goten tattoo because he was not wanting to draw attention to His body. The attention that He recieved was through His actions, not His appearance. I believe if GOd wanted us to have tattoos, we would of been born with them

  • @paden981 That still goes back to my initial point. Jesus may not have had tattoos but it doesnt make you any less of a Christian. If anything the Bible warns you what perceptions can be inferred from a tattoo. And that last sentence is a bit vague "If God wanted us to have tattoos, we would of been born with them". Thats like saying if God wanted me to be smart we would have been born smart. It all boils down to choice. And God gives us that gift of choice without judgement.

  • @katjack1991 So God gives us the ability to do whatever we want? Give me the scripture for that please. Also it is not the same as being born smart. One is a physical charcteristic the other is not. The fact is, you have no authority from the Bible for tattoos. Tattoos only have one purpose and that is to be seen. You get a tattoo so you can either look at yourself or get other people to look at you. It only purpose is attention. That is vainity. Bring the glory to Christ through our lives!

  • Here is a question for the person who created this video. Did you specifically ask to use all of the images contained within this video? Or did you simply assume that because something is on the internet you have the right to use it.

If you DID make that assumption, please... tell me what the Bible says about such dishonest practices and how it damages/enhances your "influence".

  • Clearly piercings and tattoos are of the heathens. They are symbols to convey powers which is a satanic thing.

They are rituals of pain, branding, symbology. They are also used for sexual reasons.

Even single piercings on the ears, maiming your own body for attracting special attention to yourself.

  • I would like to say that, when you talk about places being 'destructive to your influences' such as bars, casinos etc. I think we need to remember that these are the places that Jesus used to be. We are called to be the light in the darkness of this world. I agree that it could be hurtful or make us think 'unholy' thoughts. But this is to be challenged, NOT avoided. We need to evangelistic and stand out, if we hide away in a christian bubble, who are we going to save or help?

  • @MrDavid7226 Well first please note that this video is not about judging people and puting them down. That should not be the goal of any christian. The goal is to take a topic and look at in light of the bible. If it is condemed in scripture then we should not support it. The truth is that the only reason someone gets a tattoo is because they want it to be seen. If they get it where it is unseen then the person who gave it to them was looking somewhere they should not have.

  • yawn.......too long. who gives damn anyway. would mother theresa have been any less great a person or "servant of god" or whatever the hell you wanna call her if she had a tattoo? hell no!! in fact, if she had an obvious one, it would have reinforced the idea that your actions matter, not how you look. give me a break. the bible was written by man anyway. just be a good person and treat others well and have a positive impact. not that complicated.

  • @Coppulor Well perhaps it is a bit more complicated than that. I am not sure if you believe in GOd or the Bible but if you do let me ask you this. If it doesnt matter what you believe and practice, than does it matter if you believe and practice at all? The truth is that tattoos no matter what they are serve one purpose. That is to be seen. This whole idea is vain and self-centered and is not a trait a christian should have. If you arent a christian cheak out some of my videos about God.

  • @paden981

well first, respect for you intelligent reply. : ) second, how would you characterize makeup? lipstick and mascara are meant to be seen. and what about a different hairstyle? what about a mohawk? dreadlocks? shaving one's head? wearing flashy clothes? driving a Hummer that is so un-green that it is causing excess damage to the god's created - the earth - via excessive emissions? the dancing Elvis did onstage was considered to be anti-christian in his day - but no longer

  • @Coppulor I would characterize all of those as things that can often time be situational. My point is this, vainity is not a trait that a christian is suppose to desire to have. I dont think every hair style says hey look at me! You can have a very suttle hair style and still draw attention. The point is that a tattoo is only for the purpose of being seen. If God wanted us to have tattoo we would have been born with them. However the same principle for tattoos applies for everything you said.

  • PLAIN AND SIMPLE THE BIBLE IS BULLSHIT PERIOD

  • @marduck111 Well I am afraid I will have to disagree with you there. You see the Bible is very very interesting. Did you know that the Bible was written over a span of 2000 years by over 40 men and yet the whole Bible agrees completly with no errors? Or how about the fact that there are things written in the Bible that were not known to man until hundreds of years later? Or how about prophicies that came true hundreds of years later that were described in great detail. PLease watch my other vids

  • @marduck111 you don't know that

  • You, sir, have a moustache.

I can't believe this video exists.

  • @Lifeblood086 If you are a man I assume you have facial hair as well? Even if you shave it, is it not quite hypocrtical to make such an assertion to imply it is wrong? WHile I am sure you are not doing that, the truth is that mustaches have nothing to do with tattoos. I would be happy for you to try to prove other wise. No matter how you try you will never be able to provide biblical authority for tattoos and you will never be able to show they are not vain.

  • @paden981 lol sorry, the moustache comment has nothing to do with the video. I didn't really watch the video. I agree, tattoos are in vain. I don't like tattoos, I think they're ugly. i just don't think such trivial decisions are worth such a strong conviction over. I can hardly imagine the creator of the universe being upset over artistic manipulation. I'm sure he appreciates art, and art has no point besides itself. In other words, its completely vain.

  • I've seen you before, are you mister spinkles?

  • @glitchking9111 I dont know who mister sprinkels is

  • what about second earlobe piercings?

  • @mmhhmcookies Here is what you need to when considering these questions. DOnt ask yourself what is wrong with something. Ask yourself what is right with something. If you can find scriptural authority for haveing multiple earings then they are fine. If not, then stay away from them. Ask yourself what your purpose is for geting them and how they will affect you. Remeber vainity is not suppose to be a trait of a christian. Ask yourself what haveing another earing does to you?

  • @paden981 I want my favorite scripture on me so i can always have it with me. is it still a sin if i get a scripture?

  • @br33anoia4321 Why cant you have it with you without haveing a tattoo? Message me if you want to talk indepth about this.

  • i think the bible is more of a book with pointers and not "laws" because why should 1 or more god/gods give humans free will if it/they demands us to live a certain way ? btw i dont belong to any church (agree mostly with Buddhism but not fully) but i believe in the spiritual. imo theres alot of good content in mostly all "holy handbooks" even satanism.

  • @Ntwister While that may be true there is alot of good in alot of religious books it doesnt mean that all are truth and binding. I encourage you take a look at some of my other videos dealing with the bible on my channel.

  • @paden981 i might just do that. i will subscribe :)

  • I did enjoy watching your video, but I do have one question to ask. You say that a christian should not go anyway that could hurt their influence but didn't Jesus go and associate with people that were looked down up such as the tax collectors and the leapers because we are to speak to all kinds of people to spread the word of God. So why should Christian's stay away from these places if it may lead to a chance to spread the word to someone that may really need the comfort of the word of god?

  • guy in the video - your a judgemental asshole hiding behind a fake empthatic view and approach acting like you arent being biased...why dont you get a life and step into 2011 and realize nobody gives a crap about tattoos...take your fundamentalism and hide back in your cave

  • @j22philly Rather a harsh comment dont yah think? I precieve you are not a christian. I would encourage you that watching a video realy serves you no purpose. This is not to degrade you in anyway. It is just to say that if you dont hold GOd's word as authoritative then why would this matter to you? I have many other videos which deal with whether or no God exists if you care to watch. Just cheak out my channel.

  • @paden981 @paden981 @paden981 im a christian. and my tatoos have actually brought about great opportunities to witness. My right wrist says forsaken, symbolizing my life before christ, or how I percieved things, and my left wrist says forgiven, which shows where I stand now...we are not bound by any law, Christs death on the Cross took care of all that..therefore to say somthing silly like tattoos or piercings are "sinful" or the places you go to get them are "sinful" wake up man....

  • (cont) im sure you go to the mall or out in public in general...everywhere you go someone could say "ooh look at so and so" its about being a light in dark places...and for the record tatoo shops arent grimy "evil" places...man up a little

  • leviticus 19:28 clearly says do not put tattoo markings on your body.

  • @VampireWolfGurl and its clearly an OLD TESTAMENT law...plz stop taking things out of context that you know nothing about

  • Nice video from the first few minutes I watched! a little long. I think a christians first question should always be what would Jesus do "christ Like thinking"? I cant picture Jesus sitting in a tattoo shop getting a tattoo. He would be focusing his attention on God like things. Second thing to ask yourself as a christian.. how is this going make my walk with christ stronger? When you apply those two questions the answer for getting a tattoo should be NO!

  • @ExtremelyClassy Another question you could ask is what part of faith does a tattoo fall under? Or what is my authority in the Bible for disfiguring my body? Bottom line is this, tattoos are marks on your body to be seen. This is vainity and is talked against in the Bible.

  • @paden981 I noticed you shave your beard and cut your hair. Is that not vanity? In every depiction we see of Christ he's got long hair, a full beard, and is pretty much dressed in rags.

  • What about ear lobe stretching? I think they look beautiful if done in moderation, and with taste. Stretching my ears is almost like a hobby.

The biggest that i'll get is 2g, I don't know if you know how large that is, but it's relatively small.

  • @TheDarkMitzuki Well here is what I would say, when you deal with these issues you need to ask yourself several questions and make sure your making the right desicision according to God's will. First off, make sure you dont influence yourself with opinion. While the piercing make look great to some that doesnt mean it will appeal to everyone. Also ask yourself why you want to do this and how this will affect you and the way people view you. Also ask yourself this, am I doing this to be seen?

  • @paden981 What gets me is my role as a youth leader. I have peers and children that look up to me.There is a sense of pride when it comes to stretching because it's fun to show off your work. It takes a while for them to stretch to a desireable size, and I compare it as showing off a button/ stamp collection. I like stretched ears as people love to wear jewlery or nice clothing.

But of course society sees people with body mods as "rebellious".

What do you think of stretched ears?

  • @steelbrushtattoo Well God's word is never changing and it is not hard to follow. No point in me trying to convience you of any of that if you are an athiest now. I encourage you to go to my channel and cheak out my videos on athiesm. I am open for discussion about evolution and creation as the topics are very important to me. I have studied both sides and I am convicted that complex design shown in this universe points to an intelligent designer and that desigener it God. Btw, the Bible is real

  • @paden981 Actually its a historical fact that 'gods word' as you call it has changes many times do some research on older versions of the bible and you will see this, your bibles is not even 'the bible;

  • @sinshiro Actualy you have been led to believe a lie. The Bible is the most perserved book of all time. There are more original manuscripts for the Bible than any other book. Please watch my other videos on this matter.

  • @paden981 lol the irony...

  • @sinshiro If you have a point to make please do so.

  • @paden981 Killing children that are unruly is OK I guess.
