I see nothing wrong with this work. The dog is a rare breed. So they are generally very defensive dogs already. That is in them. The control will come, but for know they are working in prey, building the dog up. He is having a great time.
Dog looks pretty good, how is he on a dead ringed 5 inch pinch, might even generate more drive in him. I am assuming with all the prey work that you are training for SCH...

too much control may limit a dog's drive..a certain degree though is recommended during the prey drive development...

It wont limit a dogs drive. It will temporarily decrease it.
