I think its great he did his own homage to the song. I have nothing but respect for Willie Nelson, don't get me wrong, but I can't say I enjoy this particular version. It's too upbeat, and loses the delightfully depressing mood of the original.

This is a good version, most all versions of "Heart Of Gold" are great because every artist that sings the song puts there own twist on it. Willie did a great job and the others did too. But i love Neil's version the most, i think it's because of the Harmonica. The Harmonica really makes this song all the more great.

I love a lot of Willie's stuff, but...sorry, this is just too over-produced, and sounds like Wille just ran through the lyrics without any feeling. Strip it down to willie and his guitar and let him "emote" and maybe you've got something. Sorry to say this is a "just OK" version.

I downvoted Willies version. It's one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Willie has one of the most interesting voices, but the tempo is wrong in this one. It feels like Willie didn't pour his soul into this version. Sorry, but he got this one wrong in my opinion.
