that wasnt 80,000 people.. that was apparently over 100,000 coz so many people turned up with out tickets and pushed on trhe crowd the guards had to leave everyone in coz it was becoming a health risk!!

Eternally Grateful that they played in Co. Meath my home, best venue in the world in my opinion...l.... Sloping hill wider at the top narrow at the bottom, stage on bank of the winding and natural boyne river which has great historic and mythical importance in Ireland. Trees and hills enclosing the venue for a nice cosy feeling. A huge stone castle to your right ancient trees And nobody checking tickets!!! an estimated 100000 - 110000 people! Surely a contender for concert of the decade......

WOW I'd love to go to Slane, It looks scary though, I've never been anywhere with that many people. RDS is a great place too, It holds 40'000.

I was there. Amazing day =) The venue looks pretty shite from that angle, but imo it was fucking amazing.

Then again I wouldn't have liked to be on that back row O_o

Amazing venue, crap transport. All the people that are saying they missed Kasabian, The Prodigy etc should have come earlier. I was on the first bus out of Dublin at 11 and in the the pit before 12:30.
