Oh this is perfect...I thought the rest of the pilot seemed slightly awkward compared to the aired episode but here Sherlock figured it out much more quickly! I always thought it had taken him an impossibly long time to grasp that the killer was a cabby, he should have known at LEAST since the scene at Angelo's since that's when I considered the possibility. This part and the slightly more "human" portrayal of Sherlock are the only things that I wish would have been this way in the episode.

I am SOOOO glad they re-did the pilot. I mean, compared to the final version, this version was CRAP. Everything was subpar: the music, dialogue, wardrobe, plot. This show would have tanked BIG TIME.
