Just saw a Jim Rogers vid recorded a day or 2 ago where he pointed out that China is urging their citizens to buy gold and silver in the antipation of a dollar collape....they certainly hold the cards on that one.
I've been watching in disbelief as the stock market keeps going higher and higher,
i do not see any driver for real job growth in the economy.
I fear Bernanke will destroy the savings of people like me who have been frugal & responsible. I'm sure he will throw savers under the bus in order to save his career and continue to claim he's preventing a depression when all he's doing is destroying wealth !!
Reported Chinese actions to unilaterally cancel OTC derivative loss debts held by state corporations whereby they purchased hedge contracts written by major American OTC derivative manufacturers and distributors is legally a unilateral novation. A novation declares an item to be invalid. Invalid means not valid. A contract which is not valid infers a form of a fraudulent contract. The banks that sold the Chinese these piles of junk were GS, Wells Fargo, Citi, JPMorgan
Wow Chena3, can you give us sources for this info?
I have always expected that "the big one" (collapse) would be triggered by China's refusal to take any more of our debt. GS ... I'm at a loss - who are they? Wells Fargo has bought out Wachovia, (for those in the northeast who haven't seen sign changes yet).
I know you must be dead serious with this info, 'cuz somehow, you couldn't even get it into rhyme?
One of the platforms of the new Japanese government was to liquidate all US dollars and buy other currencies. If they keep their election promise, it may start a stampede out the door.
When the American people are broke, guess who there going to blame? The American Government- the Fed. Get rid of the fed it will fix the problem, and start dumping money into infrastructure, instead of bailing out banks and corporate businesses.
We are absolutely falling apart from the inside out. If you start building roads and fixing are decaying bridges, dams, and other public utilities it creates jobs. The people is what makes this country strong not banks and not BIG corporate bailouts.
Right on Gen, I agree with you on this. The market has been way too zombie like lately. There is a guy at work has been telling me it's time to get back in. I told him to wait, then I explained where the volume was coming from. I also explained to him the leverage ratio of most of the firms. He said, "Oh, I didn't know that." Yet the guy was going to invest 5 grand into the market. I told him do your research.
I find it amazing that 40% of the recent volume is tied to Citi, Fan, Fred and AIG?? Is that true? These have to be the bottom four companies in the US (maybe the world). Why is this not front page news?
What a greed filled scam this government has become; the American Dream is over if it is out of our hands like it appears to be.
So, whats going to happen when its all uncovered and the shit really hits the fan? Say...the dollar completely collapses, etc.? What will happen, ultimately to families? I'd like to know how to prepare...I have a wife and 3 daughters, that I care very much for.
ChaiVat - please see the vids by Vision Victory and Stella Concepts, mentioned in my post to mrzack above. It should bring you up to speed pretty quickly. Basically, bottled water, non-perishable foods and necessary meds first (then toiletries, emergency lighting/heating/shelter, tools and the like) - they will only get much more expensive - or totally unavailable - when/if the inflationary SHTF. Any big wealth should be hedged in precious metal.
Go to AskDotCom and search: "Latter Day Saints" and "Food Calculator."
This will give you a good "per person" estimate of what you might need in the "basics" - mainly breadmaking/cereal staples, beans, and sweeteners for ONE YEAR for your family. Even though it does not list items such as canned meat/veg or sprouting seeds, It is eye opening.
Many are stockpiling heirloom garden seeds (hybrids will break down 2nd generation and become sterile); and preserving glass and lids, as well.
Cooking oils/fats are essential and also a part of that calculation.
BTW the Mormons have a religious obligation to prepare to sustain their families in an emergency for at least one year - hence, they have good resource info on storage and rotation.
We found one of there cannery locations in our town an went an talked to them .
The one in our town told us if we donate 4 hours on one of there shifts helping fill an sill #10 cans of food stuffs that we could have access to there pantry at discounted prices . Believe me it is worth it . Some items in bulk are half price from what you would get at sams club or costco . we were amazed.
People also starting to come together with locals who have extra from summer crops an opening stands to sell there excess veggies at reduced prices in the parks around town .
Now is a good time to buy a water bath canner and "put up" some of those cheap (and fresh!) veggies - better to learn how to can now than when/if supplies to effect same are non-existant.
I'm in the "Garden State" and shop several of the local weekly farmers markets all summer. Usually it's not much cheaper (or is actually more expensive) than the chain grocery stores, but the quality is far superior.
Do you have willingness to do research and change your lifestyle? Do you have willingness to stop buying useless crap? Stop consuming? Do you have willingness to store/grow your own food. Prepare for what is to come in the next few years? If you do not have the willingness to do any of these things you are already doomed. Cities will become death traps in the future. I am not being alarmist, you will see...
I am personally agnostic, but that does not prevent me from taking important aspects of all religion and practicing them. The best thing I can suggest to you is to start doing You tube research on survivalism, growing your own food, preparing, and that will be a start. Faith will only take you as far as your hard work will take you. I mean that in the most respectful way. Good luck to you and your family. Mike, London, On.
For one thing, a collapsed dollar will bring a lot of imports to a screeching halt. Stores shelves could empty very quickly. Search out what happened to the Soviet Union. Stock up on nonperishable food and essentials. If it doesn't happen, you will still probably save money. Inflation isn't going to get better on these items any time soon. Store bottled water as well.
mrzack888 - Does that say something about the quality of your education, ya think? Here's some extra credit homework, if you'd like to take it on: K Denninger's blog (market-tickerdotorg), youtube's stellaconcepts (esp. Silver Warcry), and YT Vision Victory's "Sons of the Republic ..." &"Silver, Gold's Little Big Brother." Many faved @ my channel.
Mr. Denninger is no alarmist and a wonderfully balanced vlogger, IMHO. If he is calling out the Feds and Wall Street, you'd better pay 'tench.
You got to be kidding me right? I never took Math, or business school, but I paid attention to markets, learned the definitions, learned what the different instruments that were sold i the markets in the last few years do. Banks have swindled the entire population, with the help of the Federal Reserve. I would do research outside of university if I were you. I learned nothing from my Professors when I was at university. They are not there to teach. Do your own research.
Hey sorry you apparently took offense when none was intended!
A personal story: when I was an undergrad in dietetics, I asked a professor why the FDA recommendations for vitamin supplements were so much higher , by comparison, for "farm animals" than for humans. She told me if I wanted to teach/work in any gov't job, I had better stick to the "official" mantra.
Later the "health food" advocates lifted that veil for me - farm animals are raised for PROFIT! (As is empty human "food.")
I did not take offense, my apologies if it appears that way. I have been taking a hard line with people lately. I wasted 36 K$ going to University. I learned some stuff. I learned that professors lie to students. I learned that universities have to tow the societal lines prescribed by Bankers, and other obscure organizations. I was pointing out that self-learning is sometimes more useful that institutionalized official version of facts. Sorry for the impression this left you. Mike.
msamour - Your education was not a waste - you learned an important lesson, and early - that gov'ts and society lie.
I learned more about nutrition from "health rebels" like Linus Pauling Adelle Davis and Gary Null AFTER I left school in disgust than I ever would have at that State College - and to my great benefit.
Use what you do know now to profit from the inevitable - many have done so in the past.
The Volume between those firms and much liquidity between those firms dried up.
But "the" volume, as in the average volume of equities, is decidedly up, and higher than it's been since the 21st. Not a huge up volume day. But the volume decidedly increased.
denninger says that on september 1st, markets dried up and so did the volume.
yes, i see that the dow has fallen dramatically, and this might be the start of the new downturn everyone that understands a little bit of this crisis is expecting. but the volume looks larger than the previous days. maybe denninger is still right and volume decreases today and tomorrow, we will see.
The volume is maredly higher, across the board I'm not sure if he means the volume on those firms? For example, AIG and FNM volume was smaller, so perhaps he meant that. And he is correct that much of the volume lately has been in a few firms.
Regardless, the volume did increase dramatically in equities and if the volume increases on equities and the equities moves down, then that is a big sell signal.
Of course it's automated trading. Look at the volume relative to what the market's doing. Every time the DOW starts to slide the trading volume goes nuts for a while and the slide stops.
Hey Karl, I need some quick advice. My mother rolled over an ESOP into a traditional IRA a few months ago. The investment in that IRA is a CD. Is she protected for the next 2 1/2 years of it's maturity? The bank is Wachovia which as you know was bought by Wells Fargo. Thanks.
If I am a bank shorting gold (to suppress the price) and I manage to push the price down to $950, how is this reported on my balance sheet?
Most importantly, suppose I have shorted gold so much that if I close just 1% of my shorts the price is pushed up to $1,000, how would this run-away liability be reported? Or would the accounting simply take the spot price before i start my buying.
the question that im really interested in, related to your question, would be:
what if people attempt to really buy gold at this artificially lowered price, to physically get their hands on it and take it home? wouldnt that utterly squeeze those people shorting it and cause the gold price to suddenly skyrocket for a day or two when they are forced to buy, driving some of those people into bankrupcy?
and... you could check if the wall street gold prices match the ebay prices.
Why even care what happens to the pimp pushers of the market. Buy your gold and take possession of it in your hand. Anyone whom doesn't do this is a casualty.
agree, yet it's bulky, non liquid, heavy and still subject to an emotionally linked value fluxuation. Would not tools (trucks, trailers, dozers, cranes, ect...) and spare parts be of greater potential value in a barter based period? Actually all of the above and anything else that one could use that has a manufacture demand that may be reduced by an implosion would likely increase in value. The simpler and most universally needed items would be my first choices after personal necessities. tj
Here in the Uk we have an external debt of about 80%of the USA's,yes for a population of 60million we are carrying a debt that is waaay off balance.Yet our elite assures all that all is well.Karl fraud and lies run deep in the UK as well as the USA,when does it stop?
people allow this because of Fox News Cnn MSNBC CBS and all the brainwashing media that
has govt best interest in mind and not the country's - it is the media that keeps people asleep and passive, uncaring and content to be ruled by The Bilderberg Group
I'm headed back to a farm community in Sweden. What China does or does not doesn't do isn't as important as the precendent they set with their threat. Worried about the dollar falling? Worry about what happens if this Global Derivities market fragments or implodes.
dear sir. i see the sadness on your face and hear it in your voice. You reflect my sentiments exactly. Thank you very much. I have heard some americans are leaving the country or have already done so. Tonite i have been offered home and sustenance in my birthcountry. Silly old fool I chose to stay and go down with the ship. sincerely H.K.
I could see a pretty profound increase in nervousness today amongst financial analysts regarding the economy so I felt the need to do something. The problem was, every option seemed like a bad one. Will the dollar crash or will the stock market tank? Will gold drop? Go up? Will bottles of vodka & sacks of rice be our future money? Oh what do do.
china aint got the balls to be #1. they suppress the free flow of information for the sake of government self preservation, and they are in reality just playing along with the anglo banking system. the government is propping up the real estate market in china through gov't own entities, and wages are not going up with retirement age at 30 and high demand for low paying jobs. education emphasis is also not an economic solution for fresh graduates.
all they will do is clamour for SDR's along with all the rest of the 3rd world countries that follow the international banking cartel like kids following the ice cream truck.
dont overestimate china standing on its own. they lack innovation, and basically follow the west and manufacture what is demanded by the new world order.
aint no one race paws gonna be # 1. it just aint gonna happen. the chinese people are great and have alot of heart; but they just cannot advance if they follow NWO.
The commitment of traders reports heavy commercial interests buying the US dollar and selling gold. There's a good chance this is the last dollar rally (likely to last a few months before the inflation gets out of hand and it heads the other way). I urge the skeptical to start seriously researching.
Karl, a really good video today. I will do just what you asked. I also believe we need an audit from the Fed. Its really amazing I am about as liberal as they come, but Ron Paul seems to make basic sense on so many levels. 5 stars here as well and please post more, I miss the ticker guy's commentary during those long interludes.
Welcome to the awakening. I am middle of the road, called "extreme right" so often it is ridiculous..but happy to see some left of me ..as well as right..exploring reality and communicating. Happening all over YouTube. Thanks. Sincerely
I think the real issue today is not if you are "conservative" or "liberal", but if you are part of the fraud, or part of those who want to end it, or part of the majority who are still thinking the real issues are conservative vs. liberal.
5 stars as always Karl. I hate to nitpick over word choice but I don't think it's a question of "if the rally is bunch of B.S."
For anyone who are interested, Phil Grande made a very convincing case today during his nationwide radio broadcast that the rally is most certainly B.S. I believe he used the term "whole lot of nothing." Anyone who wants to can listen to the show for free. Just go to philsgang (dot) com and go to the archive.
Yeah the occultist new world order gang are really into that whole numerology thing. I think I heard Cliff High mention that date. Either it was him or Bob Chapman. I can't recall.
Ticker Guy, your market commentary gives me that feeling in my gut like when I was 4 years old and I watched that Christmas special with the Abominable Snowman. It's been a long time and it seems nothing is very scary anymore, but Ticker Guy, you scare the shit out of me.

But "the" volume, as in the average volume of equities, is decidedly up, and higher than it's been since the 21st. Not a huge up volume day. But the volume decidedly increased.
AirelonTrading 2 years ago
That the volume increased yesterday overall, by the way, also indicates we're going lower.
AirelonTrading 2 years ago
i dont really understand it....
denninger says that on september 1st, markets dried up and so did the volume.
yes, i see that the dow has fallen dramatically, and this might be the start of the new downturn everyone that understands a little bit of this crisis is expecting. but the volume looks larger than the previous days. maybe denninger is still right and volume decreases today and tomorrow, we will see.
kurtilein3 2 years ago

WillsonMartin 2 years ago
willsonmartin:
the question that im really interested in, related to your question, would be:
what if people attempt to really buy gold at this artificially lowered price, to physically get their hands on it and take it home? wouldnt that utterly squeeze those people shorting it and cause the gold price to suddenly skyrocket for a day or two when they are forced to buy, driving some of those people into bankrupcy?
and... you could check if the wall street gold prices match the ebay prices.

The simpler and most universally needed items would be my first choices after personal necessities. tj

I'm headed back to a farm community in Sweden. What China does or does not doesn't do isn't as important as the precendent they set with their threat. Worried about the dollar falling? Worry about what happens if this Global Derivities market fragments or implodes.

Wonder what Karl is doing.

p.s. that should read: TO do. Not DO do. But on the other hand, all of this is total do do, isn't it.

china aint got the balls to be #1. they suppress the free flow of information for the sake of government self preservation, and they are in reality just playing along with the anglo banking system. the government is propping up the real estate market in china through gov't own entities, and wages are not going up with retirement age at 30 and high demand for low paying jobs. education emphasis is also not an economic solution for fresh graduates.
psbyowner 2 years ago
all they will do is clamour for SDR's along with all the rest of the 3rd world countries that follow the international banking cartel like kids following the ice cream truck.
dont overestimate china standing on its own. they lack innovation, and basically follow the west and manufacture what is demanded by the new world order.
aint no one race paws gonna be # 1. it just aint gonna happen. the chinese people are great and have alot of heart; but they just cannot advance if they follow NWO.

Peace.
