wow cool
when we went for our vacation
the beach house had these.
and my grandpa had this kind of smoke alarm
but he had a switch on it so that when he would smoke a cigar it would not go off

funny, thats the unit Im tryin to get, for right now Im protected by stand alone I-smoke alarms.

DO NOT THROW THESE AWAY, they're Ionization detectors which have a radioactive element in them. Your community should have a hazardous waste disposal facility that you can take them to. Also I would recommend the PI2000 detectors.

where i live we're allowed to throw these away haha. it's not considered a huge deal as the radiation does not leave the detector
