In my opinion SA could be bring down to one outstanding album without the "filler songs" as you say, but i believe that if it was 14 songs instead of 28 we would have lost a lot of GREAT music.. it's better this way!!!

Well John used like seven separately recorded guitar tracks and layered the together for the end, so a live performance would have had a much different solo (if it even had one at all).
But then again, we're talking about John Fruciante here and he could likely pull off playing this solo note for note with with one guitar if he had to. He's just that amazing.

This album has its singles, yeah, but it is filled with so much crappy filler. Would have been so much better as a single CD with the better songs... By the Way, Californication, and BLOOD SUGAR SEX MAGIC. Are by FAR better than Stadium Arcadium.. Can you really compare a song like "Tell me Baby" to "Otherside" or "Under the Bridge"? And let's be real, I'm With You, is their worst modern day album, not one memorable part so far for me. Just songs I try to appreciate because its RHCP.

BSSM is definitely my favourite album, but I think that SA is my second one. As an album, you know.. It doesn't have one song that will break you mind continuesly like the others, but the music in some of the songs is just incredible.. A lot of songs.. Try death of a martian, hard to concentrate, desecration smile.. Not BIG songs, but incredible music

This powerful song, with a great melody, and a powerful guitar riff, show they are rocking just as hard they did back in 84. In fact, I'm looking forward to their upcoming album to see what surprises await me.

People who say that this album was more of a John and Anthony album are morons. Flea's bass playing is at it's best on this album. Anyone (who's good) can slap a bass and do something funky, but it takes real talent to come up with something like Hard to Concentrate, Animal Bar, and Slow Cheetah's bass lines.

People who say that this album was more of a John and Anthony album are morons. Flea's bass playing is at it's best on this album. Anyone (who's good) can slap a bass and do something funky, but it takes real talent to come up with something like Hard to Concentrate, Animal Bar, and Slow Cheetah's bass lines.
