@livelygranny4Jesus We Mormons believe in Christ. That makes us non-christian? Maybe you should read what the dictionary has to say about it. Or even wikipedia. Here you go. :) wikipediaDOTorg / wiki / Christianity
sad day, sad day, THE JESUS of The Bible is NOT the spirit brother of lucifer, period. the book of mormon is a book of lies. Shame on you, mormons are NOT christians...there's chasm of difference! i must say it's nicely packaged, kind of like mr romney.
@livelygranny4Jesus Instead of simply name calling and trying to tear people down, please try to (1) offer a constructive comment (as a Christian should), or (2) at least substantiate your claims. For example, is there a place in the Bible that says Christ is NOT the spirit brother of lucifer? Such a comment could contribute to a real discussion. Also, that belief is obscure at best. I've only had people try to use that to pick fights with me since Mike Huckabee said that.
@livelygranny4Jesus If I may, it seems highly unlikely that you have read the Book of Mormon, or know much about our faith other than what you have heard on the news. I agree with dlakers85 in saying that in the bible, (If you don't mind me playing devil's advocate,) there is no place saying that Lucifer isn't Christ's spirit brother, do you disagree? I do have a question for you. You claim that Mormons are not Christians, why is that? We, as well as you, believe in the Christ from the bible.
@livelygranny4Jesus -- It is good to see by your address that you love the Lord Jesus Christ. Here is something that may intrigue you from the Book of Mormon,
2 Nephi 25: 26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.
The LDS people invite all to come unto Christ, & to be saved thru His merits alone.
Open your eyes people, there are bigger problems in the world than what others believe in. AIDS, Environment, RELIGIOUS WARS haha what a coincidence. God is fake.
@davegode Its true there are some big problems in this life, and in this world, most of wich are results of mans misconceptions and sinful lifestyles. there is a God above, and he loves even you, and he waits for a time when you would bow your head and ask him to save you of your sin, and ask him into your life. Life here is temporary, and there is trouble, but after we die our spirit will spend eternity somewhere, choose Jesus, and be saved from eternity in hell. Its the reason Jesus came here
@perfectgrn Does it not seem selfish to you, what you just said? Why would a "loving God" send me to an eternity in hell, if I am more concerned with the condition of humanity, than the assurance of a spot in heaven? And in terms of the problems around the world, Religion is the #1 cause of human death period, with all forms of Christianity very guilty. That should be enough of a wake up call for humanity. What makes your beliefs different from that of any other human?
@davegode God does not intend on people going to hell, people reject the only means of having their sin foegiven, (Jesus) because they don't want to see or admit they have a sin problem and need help to change or begin to turn away from those sins. All people are sinners with and equal oportunity to accept or reject Gods free gift of salvation or forgiveness of sins through Jesus. And as for religeon, its a man made thing, one mans interpritation verses anothers. But still there is one truth.
@perfectgrn So you're saying my choice for concern for others, before concern for my "destination" after death, is a sin worthy of eternal pain and suffering? And as long as people express their belief publicly that their's are the "one truth" and that anything else will have you suffering for eternity, the killing in the name of Religion will never lose it's lead as #1 killer.
O@davegode our God, our Father in Heaven watching over us from above, is a God of love, not hate. Your comment implies that God will eternally punish us for making the smallest mistake, such as which of the many faiths to join. This does not have to be a mistake. I am sure that you, or someone you know, has access to the bible. Please read The Epistle of James, Chapter 1, verse 5.
Religion is not a killer, despite what you say. It is the opposition and emnity that we give off that kills.
@davegode Everyone has the choice to accept or reject who Jesus was, what his purpose was, and wether or not he was born of a virgin. I myself am very far from perfect, like everyone else, but Gods story of a saviour who came to cure a problem that we cannot fix is beautiful. that problem is sin, and we all have it. People always want to shut christians up because it hurts to have Gods light shined upon all of their filth. But the bottom line is we all need a saviour, accept him or reject him!
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-8
“…to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” Jude 1:25
Philippians 2:10-11 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Acts 4:12 says this about Jesus..."Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Thank you for posting. We showed this to some pre-school children today. The children recognised mary and joseph, and the wise men. They were bright with wonder at the sight of baby Jesus. What a lovely video.
This is a beautiful video and I love this song and how it fits so perfectly with it. It doesn't matter what religion you are. If you are any Christian denomination, this is a wonderful Christmas movie carrying with it the spirit of Christmas and the simplistic beauty of that first Christmas night
My high school choir is singing this in our Christmas Concert tomorrow. My choir teacher told us that she picked this song for us to sing because historians have said that mary could have been as young as 13. She believed we could relate to the song in a way. She explained the fear and loneliness Mary may have gone through. She really got some of us to think about it. I love Mrs. Garrett to death.
Very pretty video and song. The only thing that I can't accept is the belief that Mary had sexual intercourse with the Father to conceive Jesus, as it is preached by the Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints. It's unsciptural! The Word of God says it was by the Holy Spirit that she conceived and there was no sexual union.
@yskdl1998 Where have you been reading? Where is your proof? You're actually mistaken, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints doesn't believe that Mary and Heavenly Father had sexual intercourse.... I know, because I am a member, and I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and I know that if you were to read the Book of Mormon, and pray about it as you go along, that you will see that they are more similar then different- they both show that Christ did live, and still does!
@yskdl1998 I don't know where you get your info, but that 100% false, and I know because I have been a member my whole life. And also, have you tried reading the Book of Mormon? If you read it with an open mind and heart, you will find the teachings to be very similar to, and expounding upon the teachings of the Bible. They both teach of Christ and his love, and the things we must do to return to Him. I know this to be true because I have felt it.
Can you PLEASE tell me how you did this! I tried to figure out how to substitute this song for the sound track in the movie last year and couldn't do it. I would love it if you could let me know what you did! Love it! :-)
Thank you for the pure love, simplicity and faith of this video. God, through Jesus Christ, came for all the world and entrusts those who believe in Him to carry the message of Him, in love, to all the world.
Do not tear down His kingdom on earth by arguing, build Him a kingdom worthy of His majesty through love and tolerance. Praise His name!
"For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not parish but have everlasting life." This is a free gift to all of Mankind. Sadly, many will reject the gift, but the gift is available to all. This song, by the way, is one of the most beautiful songs ever written.
I am LDS. Although i am young, I understand what I believe in and I know the difference between each and every religion. We do not push our religion, but merely invite everyone to listen to what we have to say. Its truly sad that I have lost many friends because I'm mormon. It hurts me, how can i not think something is wrong with me? So instead of arguing about your religions, I ask you all to just watch and enjoy this video as it was supposed to be enjoyed! Merry Christmas to you all!
It's so sad and hard to digest that all of the comments preaching tolerance are given thumbs down and the comments preaching "one true faith" have thumbs up. How disgusting. I side with Yellowtulip and Colincoolness.
It's sad yet predictable you all are arguing your religions. Take this video for what it is. A beautiful song by an amazing vocalist that happens to be accompanying a well put together video, good lord. And you all wonder why not everyone drinks your Kool Aid.
Excuse me but your snide remark about Kool-Aid is way out of line. No doubt it is an inference to the November 18, 1978 Peoples temple deaths in James town Guyana, where they commit suicide by drinking cyanide-laced grape flavored Flavor Aid (often misidentified as Kool-Aid) You are wrongly trying to tie the LDS faith in with the Peoples temple. Well there is no conection!
Actually, that's not an inference I made at all. I chose "drinking the kool-aid" as a metaphor to describe religions who want people to follow their messed up ideologies that stray so far from what God wants because imperfect people, just like all of us, spin "the will of God." to their will. After awhile, their religion acts as nothing more than a vessel to spew their propoganda. Thanks for that insight anyway, though. :-)
As a former Mormon and now believer in Jesus Christ, I would invite snoopygidget to forsake the Jesus Christ of Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon and all religious faith, and come to both manger and cross of the true Jesus that saves the world through grace and love. Then maybe you can understand that it is not an attacking of your faith, but an invitation to know and understand such a gift.
To do so is as easy as going through the eye of a needle, but oh...what awaits you on the other side!
@yellowtulip123 As you said that you are a former Mormon you in fact turned your back on Jesus Christ and his one true church. I invite you yellowtulip123 to repent and come back to the one true faith.
While you argue with your average Muslim about your "one true church/faith", I'm perfectly content to believe in the Jesus Christ who loves the entire world...not a select few (John 3:16-17).
I have never said the Jesus has loved anything but the world as stated in John 3:16. But Jesus has his one true faith to witch all are invited. Ephesians 4:5 [One Lord, one faith, one baptism]
@Spiritmoversdramate Would love to know more about that. I was in charge of the Christmas program for the children at my church this year and found it very limiting because of the lack of material out there. I would love to try something different next year. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Merry Christmas and God Bless.
We just used this same music-video combination at our Christmas party, and if you delay the music 2.5 to 3 seconds at the beginning it comes out EXACTLY together at the end. Also, key moments in the video correspond to the lyrics in the song-Beautiful!
Beautiful job! Snoopygidget thanks for your comment. No matter what Christian faith you are, this is a lovely video that summons the spirit of Christmas.
To whoever believes that the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints do not believe that only through Christ we can be saved, I would invite you to read the Book of Mormon. The principles of our religion are founded upon Jesus Christ and his atonement and resurrection. Please don't take away from the beauty of this video by attacking our faith. Instead of grieving for us, find joy in Christ and your faith, and have a Merry Christmas.
This is so beautiful! It's a wonderful reminder of the greatest gift ever given-The gift of Christ from our wonderful Heavenly Father who loves us! I think about where we all would be if it weren't for the atonement of Jesus Christ, and it makes his birth seem so much more important than any gift giving or stressful things that go on during this time of the year. I love my Savior, I find joy in his spirit, and I am thankful for this special time of the year that makes it so easy to think of him.
We just say this at the visitors center in Oakland! Its one of the most beautiful depictions of the nativity I've ever seen. And this song is PERFECT for it.
This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing! It is awesome & helps us remember the TRUE reason for the season - Christ birth! May the Christians all across the world unite & recognize that Christmas is about CHRIST! Not gifts, but the birth of our Savior. Merry Christmas!
This video is available through the "distribution center" of the LDS Church for only a couple of dollars. Look for it as a supplement to the "Mr. Krueger's Christmas" DVD, also a great film (with James Stewart). The Distribution Center may be found through the LDS. org website.
@asktic11 Wake up Jesus was not born dec 25 that came from the roman catholic to make Jesus birth> Jesus was born 6 months after Passover. Also his death was on wednesday not good friday.
Very beautiful. My husband and I delivered our baby girl this summer, and the scene where Joseph holds up Mary as he carries her in is exactly reminiscent of my husband holding me up as we walked into the ER in ACTIVE labor, and no one stood up to help us. IN fact, the security said 'there are no wheelchairs' and the doc said "you'll have to wait". I can only imagine how Mary felt.
I love this because of the prayer for God to "hold her together," to "lighten her darkness." I feel like that too in my life, I think that's why I relate to this so much. A scripture I love is "my joy is carried away, even unto boasting in my God; for he has all power, all wisdom, and all understanding: he comprehendeth all things, and he is a merciful Being, even unto salvation, to those who will repent and believe on His name."-Alma 26:35
What a special time of the year. It's too bad the world is losing the real Christmas spirit. It is all about Christ and emulating the service He gave to all.
this song makes me cry. it is just so beautiful . without God we would be nothing and without Mary we would not even have Jesus . I LOVE MARY SO MUCH SHE IS SUCH A PHENOMINAL AND BRAVE WOMAN WHO GAVE US OUR LORD. keep the faith everyone because its the only thing that matters <3=]
It is beautiful. But just a simple clarification on Christian faith. Mary was a phenominal and brave woman. Yes yes yes! But it was in her simple saying "yes" to God. It was God who gave us His son. He used Mary. She allowed herself to be used. Her humility is displayed in this song. Amen?
This is one of my favorite songs. She does an amazing job with it, too.
But it's a shame to replace the video's original sound. For me, the natural voices, animal noises, and ambient sounds made me feel like I was really there, in the city, in the stable. What an experience that would have been. This video is a masterpiece. No wonder people are so moved by it.
Possibly one of the most beautiful songs ever written! Just imagine, if this song is this amazing and was written by man/woman, how wonderful are the songs we sing in Heaven going to be!!
Truly beautiful.I will continue to view this wonderful creation throughout the year. You have sincerely touched another heart with this..A million thanks..!
This is beautiful. I pity those who choose to keep His spirit from their life. And even though they choose this life, He loves them still. Embrace God. Embrace life. It's because of Him you even have one.
This is a beautiful reminder of what Christmas is all about.
And although I do NOT agree on the mormon's way of thinking about this...I still think it is a beautiful representation of what Christmas is all about. =)
I think that the confusion lies in the view of the Trinity, taught from the very beginning of the Church. There is One God, co-eternal with the Son and Spirit. God was never like man nor will man ever become like God. Hear O Israel, the LORD is One. No other diety. Lucifer was not the brother of Jesus.
If God created all things, then did He not create Lucifer? Lucifer decided to be bad , He was not always bad, He was the Son of the Morning(Isaiah 14:12). If that is true then is he not our brother? Perhaps this video is better to be watched then talked about.
Those you talked to didn't understand. It took a lot of study and prayer for me to come to the conclusion that I have. I have deeply studied Mormon doctrine and WE DO BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS GOD. They told you wrong. But don't take my word for it. If you really want to know, go to the source and read the doctrine Prophets and leaders have written. If you don't make sure you know exactly what you're talking about, please have respect for my religion and don't give people information about it.
May the Spirit of the Lord be with all of you and I thank all of you for your deep devotion to the Spirit that is Christmas. Forgive and do not judge but love one another. God came for us all not just one religion. Peace on Earth includes in here, watch again and invite the TRUE Spirit of Love into your homes. In The Sacred Name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.
It saddens my heart to see people argue over the Divinity of Christ. This video is intended to dispell the harsh feelings and invite the Spirit of the Lord how ever we understand it, individually. As Mormons we are not to contend with other faiths but help them understand that we are indeed Christians and love all men and women and invite their views as well as their love for our Savior. He died for ALL mankind sinner and Saint.
And the myth again, WE ARE CHRISTIANS! Why else would we have CHRIST name in our name, THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS. Merry Christmas!
Not Christian according to your definition, but perhaps your definition is incorrect? Have you read the Book of Mormon, the second witness for Christ? "In the mouths of two or more witnesses shall all things be established." Jesus is the Son and the Creator. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one God, as several members are one family. If you want to know if our definition of Christian is valid, read the Book of Mormon, and then pray about it. You DO believe God answers prayer, don't you?
i have prayed about it and studied it along with jehovah witness, umm, islam, judaism, new age preachings, you name it...i'm a southern baptist missionary and i travel the globe annually...i know all about your teachings and you believe you are the only ones going to heaven...not christianity.
i suggest you look further into the teachings of the latter day saints, you are obviously unaware of their doctrine or of the correct view of the saviour...the name of the church is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter day saints...sorry, you are wrong. Merry Christmas.
im morman to and if you read the signs on the front of our church building it states that we belong to THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS now im only 12 and i know that my church is a christian in a way but please dont reply to this comment unless u have something nice to say and great job with the video mailman0
As a member of the Mormon Church, I say that we absolutely are Christians. He and his atonement are the center of our religion. 0I, personally, after much study, doubt, and prayer have gained a strong conviction that Jesus is the Christ, my Savior and my Redeemer. I believe in the bible, and in Christ's life and teachings, so don't ever say that Mormons aren't Christians. Christ is who we worship and hold most dear above all other things. Read our hymn book, and that'll make everything clear.
You can't be serious. By the definition that a Christian must believe in creeds such as the Nicene creed, maybe. But Mormons certainly believe in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior and as the only begotten Son of God.
Sorry mate.. They are very clear in their Theology. They do not believe that Jesus is God in the flesh. They dismiss the Deity of Christ. Unless He was and is God, He could not save us. That's what being a Christian is.He was , is and always will be God.
You are entirely wrong. I am Mormon, and as such, I think I might have a better idea of what the Mormon Theology says. We DO believe that Jesus is the Son of God in the Flesh. We acknowledge that Jesus could not have saved us all if he were not the literal Son of God. I totally agree with your last statement. Jesus is the Son of God. He was, is, and always will be your God AND MINE.
There is a difference between Jesus being the Son of God and being God in the flesh. You and I agree that He was the Son of God. But the difference is that I believe He was and is God in the Flesh. (John 1). That's a big difference. The Deity of Christ (Jesus is God) is what separates true believer's and those who are not. I'm really not trying to be critical. I'm just stating a fact. Do you believe He was and is God? (Not just the Son of God).
WE DO BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS GOD. He is the creator of the world. He is the one true God that could atone for our sins and have us made clean. So yes, to answer your question: I, as well as fellow members of my church believe that he was, is, and will ever remain God. What might seem a little strange to you is that we believe that God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are three distinct beings, though they act as one to assist us in our journey on earth.
That's grand. I have spent time w/ other Mormons and they told me clearly that they believed that Jesus was the Son of God but He wasn't God. And that came from many. I am glad that you recognize Him for who He is. Again, I wasn't trying to be critical. I had just read literature and talked to other Mormons who said the opposite of what you said. Merry Christmas :)
Matthew 16:13-17-When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" They replied, "Some say John theBaptist; others say Elijah; and still others,Jeremiah or one of the prophets.""But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man,but by my Father in heaven.
ok - I tried to stay out of this but I can give scripture as well. Read Zechariah 12. It is LORD speaking. LORD is Jehovah. Verse 10 "...and they shall look on Me(Jehovah)whom they have pierced..." Who was pierced?
John 8:58 "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." God said in Exodus 3 when Moses asked what name shall I give them when they ask who sent me, He said "And God said unto Moses, I AM that I Am...hath sent you." Jehovah's name is I Am, the self-existing One. Jesus took that name. And obviously the Jews understood what He was saying because they picked up stones AGAIN to stone Him. He was saying "I AM the great I AM"
I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
There are many conterfeit religions out there, and we all must be careful we are not deceived.
Matthew 24:3-5 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you.For many will come in my name, claiming,
There are many conterfeit religions out there, and we all must be careful we are not deceived.
The only problem is it all started at the time of the Apostles(apostasy, corruption) and came into power with the formulation of the first Church Council of Nicea 325 AD with Constantine as it's head, it goes right through the roots. We have to get right back to the original Apostolic teaching.
@Travers54 If that is true, all one must do to go back to being The Church of Christ is read the Bible and do as He said. But the Book of Mormon and many of Joseph Smith's teaching contradict scripture. God is not the author of confusion. So, one has to be wrong...I prayed and the Lord gave me a burning in my bossom that confirmed the Bible is the true Word of God. Yet when I prayed many a times about the Book of Mormon, I felt a clear and strong warning coming from the Holy Spirit. Ask Him...
@yskdl1998 , And your point? I think that I made it clear that the apostasy started under the reign of the Emperor Constantine and has continued down until this day. Unless you take the time to read and become aquainted with the book of Mormon, you will never know, just praying for conformation alone will not suffice, you have to read the book and then ask in prayer.
Terminology confusion here. Mormons believe there is one Supreme God our Father, but others bear the title God-- in the same way there is one Heavenly Father, but every dad bears the title father.
Jesus Christ Savior of the World is a God AND the Only Begotten Son of God our Eternal Father. He is the God of the Old Testament, later born into the world to become its Savior under the direction of Heavenly Father.
The Holy Ghost also bears the title God. 3 Gods being one in purpose.
See, this is where I was coming from. I believe Jesus is The God spoken of in John 1. He is not a god but The God (Jehovah). Mormons I have spoken with in the past, including Elders, did not agree with me concerning this. And this is what separates true believers and those who are considered "cults."
I don't see any reason to bible bash or argue the specifics of our doctrines (tempted as I may be :)). True, we do have different perceptions of the nature of God and different interpretations of scripture. It doesn't matter. We each believe in the divinity of the Christ, we both believe in salvation through Him. Why not focus on our similarities?
And please don't use loaded words like "cult" without definition. Most dictionaries will define it as a religion that may be considered unorthodox or false by the mainstream. In that case, feel free to stick that label on us. Christ's original Church would also fall under that definition. If you meant it in any other way, please clarify. That word tends to have a negative connotation, and I've found that people throw it out there for dramatic effect without really knowing what they're saying.
We also need to talk about the word "Christian." I am a Christian by virtue of the fact that I say so. Any person who considers himself a follower of Jesus Christ is. Who are you to apply a subjective standard that decides who "truly believes" in Christ and who doesn't? I would never assume to tell you that you aren't a true follower of Christ, even though I'm fully convinced my understanding of Christ is true. So let's be friends, eh? Merry Christmas! And remember the reason for the season!
That is not true! We, the entire EARTH, are ALL children of GOD! He wants everyone of us to return to him...If you want to know the TRUTH about the LDS church, you need to go to the SOURCE, not go to someone who doesn't understand our religion. You are not going to go to a Catholic priest to learn about the Baptist are you? The same applies here, go to the source for the information. Anit-Mormon literature is NOT the source.
@livelygranny4Jesus We Mormons believe in Christ. That makes us non-christian? Maybe you should read what the dictionary has to say about it. Or even wikipedia. Here you go. :) wikipediaDOTorg / wiki / Christianity

BlenderConqueror 1 month ago
@davegode Everyone has the choice to accept or reject who Jesus was, what his purpose was, and wether or not he was born of a virgin. I myself am very far from perfect, like everyone else, but Gods story of a saviour who came to cure a problem that we cannot fix is beautiful. that problem is sin, and we all have it. People always want to shut christians up because it hurts to have Gods light shined upon all of their filth. But the bottom line is we all need a saviour, accept him or reject him!

I love Mrs. Garrett to death.

maggieb599 1 year ago
Very pretty video and song. The only thing that I can't accept is the belief that Mary had sexual intercourse with the Father to conceive Jesus, as it is preached by the Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints. It's unsciptural! The Word of God says it was by the Holy Spirit that she conceived and there was no sexual union.
yskdl1998 1 year ago
@yskdl1998 Where have you been reading? Where is your proof? You're actually mistaken, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints doesn't believe that Mary and Heavenly Father had sexual intercourse.... I know, because I am a member, and I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and I know that if you were to read the Book of Mormon, and pray about it as you go along, that you will see that they are more similar then different- they both show that Christ did live, and still does!
dceb122 1 year ago
@yskdl1998 I don't know where you get your info, but that 100% false, and I know because I have been a member my whole life. And also, have you tried reading the Book of Mormon? If you read it with an open mind and heart, you will find the teachings to be very similar to, and expounding upon the teachings of the Bible. They both teach of Christ and his love, and the things we must do to return to Him. I know this to be true because I have felt it.

Endtroducing85 2 years ago
It's sad yet predictable you all are arguing your religions. Take this video for what it is. A beautiful song by an amazing vocalist that happens to be accompanying a well put together video, good lord. And you all wonder why not everyone drinks your Kool Aid.
colincoolness 2 years ago
Excuse me but your snide remark about Kool-Aid is way out of line. No doubt it is an inference to the November 18, 1978 Peoples temple deaths in James town Guyana, where they commit suicide by drinking cyanide-laced grape flavored Flavor Aid (often misidentified as Kool-Aid) You are wrongly trying to tie the LDS faith in with the Peoples temple. Well there is no conection!
lakejeffery62 2 years ago
Actually, that's not an inference I made at all. I chose "drinking the kool-aid" as a metaphor to describe religions who want people to follow their messed up ideologies that stray so far from what God wants because imperfect people, just like all of us, spin "the will of God." to their will. After awhile, their religion acts as nothing more than a vessel to spew their propoganda. Thanks for that insight anyway, though. :-)
colincoolness 2 years ago
As a former Mormon and now believer in Jesus Christ, I would invite snoopygidget to forsake the Jesus Christ of Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon and all religious faith, and come to both manger and cross of the true Jesus that saves the world through grace and love. Then maybe you can understand that it is not an attacking of your faith, but an invitation to know and understand such a gift.
To do so is as easy as going through the eye of a needle, but oh...what awaits you on the other side!
yellowtulip123 2 years ago

Amen?

I think that the confusion lies in the view of the Trinity, taught from the very beginning of the Church. There is One God, co-eternal with the Son and Spirit. God was never like man nor will man ever become like God. Hear O Israel, the LORD is One. No other diety. Lucifer was not the brother of Jesus.
mikedmcbride 4 years ago

As a member of the Mormon Church, I say that we absolutely are Christians. He and his atonement are the center of our religion. 0I, personally, after much study, doubt, and prayer have gained a strong conviction that Jesus is the Christ, my Savior and my Redeemer. I believe in the bible, and in Christ's life and teachings, so don't ever say that Mormons aren't Christians. Christ is who we worship and hold most dear above all other things. Read our hymn book, and that'll make everything clear.

Mormons?! They're not even Christian. Why would they make this movie...
IWTSYPthethird 4 years ago
You can't be serious. By the definition that a Christian must believe in creeds such as the Nicene creed, maybe. But Mormons certainly believe in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior and as the only begotten Son of God.
That's why they made this.
mailman0 4 years ago
Sorry mate.. They are very clear in their Theology. They do not believe that Jesus is God in the flesh. They dismiss the Deity of Christ. Unless He was and is God, He could not save us. That's what being a Christian is.He was , is and always will be God.
pastorscottire 4 years ago
You are entirely wrong. I am Mormon, and as such, I think I might have a better idea of what the Mormon Theology says. We DO believe that Jesus is the Son of God in the Flesh. We acknowledge that Jesus could not have saved us all if he were not the literal Son of God. I totally agree with your last statement. Jesus is the Son of God. He was, is, and always will be your God AND MINE.
nashrules13 4 years ago 2
There is a difference between Jesus being the Son of God and being God in the flesh. You and I agree that He was the Son of God. But the difference is that I believe He was and is God in the Flesh. (John 1). That's a big difference. The Deity of Christ (Jesus is God) is what separates true believer's and those who are not. I'm really not trying to be critical. I'm just stating a fact. Do you believe He was and is God? (Not just the Son of God).
pastorscottire 4 years ago
WE DO BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS GOD. He is the creator of the world. He is the one true God that could atone for our sins and have us made clean. So yes, to answer your question: I, as well as fellow members of my church believe that he was, is, and will ever remain God. What might seem a little strange to you is that we believe that God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are three distinct beings, though they act as one to assist us in our journey on earth.
nashrules13 4 years ago

Hallelujah and Amen!
Our opinions don't matter, only what the True Book says..the ONLY inspired WORD of GOD- The Holy Bible.
Revelation 20:18-19
I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

There are many conterfeit religions out there, and we all must be careful we are not deceived.
Matthew 24:3-5 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you.For many will come in my name, claiming,
'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many.

The world should still be flat in your view then.

Merry Christmas to you as well.He is the reason for the season :)

yes but you also believe that you are the only ones going to heaven ...that's not christianity...that's blasphemy
hollygras12484 4 years ago
That is not true! We, the entire EARTH, are ALL children of GOD! He wants everyone of us to return to him...If you want to know the TRUTH about the LDS church, you need to go to the SOURCE, not go to someone who doesn't understand our religion. You are not going to go to a Catholic priest to learn about the Baptist are you? The same applies here, go to the source for the information. Anit-Mormon literature is NOT the source.
