@drumnmarc I feel you, drumnmarc - I'm a musician and I do have to say as a musician that I do like the music and most of Tye's music. But if this is to be the new standard for gospel music, then it's a sad day. To me, this is not praise. They're acting or performing just like the crazy rock bands.

One of the misconceptions about christians is that we are supposed to be a certain way... If you think about it if we can party at a concert or the club we should have the same excitement about the Lord if not more... If you truly believe his love is amazing then you should want to jump up and down and dance and shout!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!
i love tye tribbetts's music,, but when he did that jump off the stage i was like whoa,,, that looks just like those rock groups but they are not praising the Lord they are worshipping the devil,,, love ya Tye but we have to stand out
@rachelmm05 i know what you mean, but in the defense of that style of music, there are many christian rock, metal, progressive bands that do jumps like that too.
@rachelmm05 Did you say that in irony? Kinda funny that you used that phrase when that's the title of his last record. Also while secular groups certainly aren't praising the Lord, they're not exactly Worshiping the Devil either. I'll debate this up and down so don't even argue with me on this.

You said that secular groups aren't praising the Lord then who/or what are they praising?? In the word it says choose who you will serve- if it's not the Lord who we are praising then all else stems from the devil no matter how you look at it-whether the songs are about illicit sex, drugs,self gratification,killing, etc,,.none of this stuff reflects Christ
@rachelmm05 They're praising themselves. If I write a love song for my mate...I'm worshiping Satan? No most certainly not but my gifts would be better served for Christ than honoring myself and hoping that the secular world enjoys my work.
@Superstarseven exactly my point... if whatever we do is for self praise then God anit in it.. look at Lucifer he wanted to receive praise, and exaltation for himself instead of giving it to whom it was due and of course we know the outcome of his self-exaltation. all glory and praise is due to the Lord alone and no one else. God has given every person specific gifts/ministries but they were never intended to bring enjoyment to the secular world, but to bring glory and honor to Christ

If you think any of the bands on the Modern Rock charts are Satanic, you'll be thrown for a loop when I introduce you to Black Metal. That's real underground music though, unless you're looking for it then you won't happen upon it.
