Don't compare a tuned v 8 engine's start up vs a v6 or I4 engine. Lambos also take a bit to start up, and tend to over rev on start up.

@zac0964 Not uncommon in this class of vehicle. German cars are spotty, Italian and British cars, and especially exotics, are just not built to last more than a few years or 50,000 miles. RR and Bentleys don't go long without serious issues either.

I would be so embarrassed starting this car in front of other people!! I'm ofcourse referring to the terrible startup (assuming it wasn't your fault)

On a sidenote: Good thing Maserati has improved their current designs (2011) over the older ones. Because I find this interior and exterior to be a extremely incoherent/inconsistant, almost random. And oh, that radio/cd player interface seemed to be designed by someone who still uses Windows 95.

There is no denying that this car is very beautiful inside and out, but it has some quirks. The reliability on these things is sketchy, and you had to crank it way too long to start the engine. I'd be concerned how it would start in the cold Michigan weather. If a car does not start up quickly, that is a deal breaker for me.
