A long time ago I used to use Google's search engine, but gradually over time noticed how they were starting to take the piss with all the data gathering they are doing, email scanning, wifi logging, adwords tracking across the entire web etc etc. Even Youtube got bought by them to my disappointment. I then decided to use Scroogle to still get the Google results but without the ads all over the place.

I have never once clicked on a text ad. Once I see the word "advertised" as in results or anything I pass right over. Looks like everyone's pissed at google for some reason. They did help improve YouTube a lot. Just if they could fix the processing for once....

Here's my story: A couple of ears back, I didn't have to any Ads on my favourite videos. Now I fucking do. I get un-skippable Ads shoving Swedish underwear or the Fred movie in my face. Usually around two per video. And if I want to watch a Channel 4 program? Four to six Advertisements.

So there's my story. So far, no happy ending.
