I been taking 25% of my pay and investing in food, ammo, water, and miscellaneous items for my preparations. I would like to get a lvl 4 first aid kit but money is tight atm. There's nothing wrong with being prepared... . I'm all for having an OPEN mind in relation to future evolutions and situations, but i'm against the mass "promotion" of doomsday scenarios. It's a kind of dualistic way of viewing it, but it comes down to this: People need to be prepared for anything, if only to help those who are NOT. I am a woman who lives alone and it concerned me that I may be unable to fend for myself during a crisis so I took steps to remedy that. I got 5 gallon buckets and sealed them full of rice, beans, pasta, flour, sugar, salt, spices, etc. I also got a can storage system and filling it with all the things I usually eat, it holds something like 250 cans, plus my normal pantry. I plan on having a year supply of food and water, I learned how to can, and my next project is to start a garden.
