He ran it a little to fast and sharp, the conductor didn't really allow for the Ambience God-Like Flow of Godzilla's Presence to inspire awe and anticipation of fear and death to be enstowed upon the vicitim of his very massive and powerful presence.....great song but to my ears that have heard the Generations of this God I knew right away that this was not perfectly done, but it was good enough for its purpose, to a degree. The Students were Great, it was the Conductor who flunked it fast.....
This is genuinely perfect music. It inspires emotion, it is a stuning piece of work that brilliantly illustrates the sheer power of the monster, and at the same time is works to demonstrate the unbreakable will to survive of a people.

Ifukube cites Russian composer Igor Stravinsky as an influence. For any of you who haven't done so, give "The Rite of Spring" a listen. Speaking for myself, the second motif (beginning around 1:35) definitely has echoes of Stravinsky.
this is really good! except, i dont know what i would do if i were in this band; i hate how he conducts!!! but, yeah, this is great, brings back memories!
