Man, thank you so much for this review. I would NEVER have heard of this game before. I picked it up on eBay for $5 brand new shipped. OMG, it's SO awesome! And you're right about the Dreamcast vibe. The arcade version came out on the SEGA Naomi which was the arcade version of the Dreamcast :D

I love this game! I played this game very hardcore when it was released in Japan!

Pretty good shooter arcade game. Game matches vs. other are sweet too. Easy to find a characters with your skill match. I would buy it for my 360.

Love the fact this game came out with Japanese voices only. So many Japanese games are badly dubbed and ur stuck with those dubs only (see star ocean last hope, DW Gundam 2 ect) This is a top arcade game, its not for everyone but its awesome for those who like this sort of thing.

Reminds me of a topdown version of Zone of the Enders. Haha that was actually the first game ever got for the PS2. Then when Halo came out I sold my Playstation and got an Xbox, and of course I stuck with the Xbox 360 (cuz the PS3 is an overratted POS, no offense).

Suprise, IT IS- Its a NAOMI Game so it actually is a souped up dreamcast game. Its a bit obscure but, you have to be paying attention. Naomi arcade boards were linked dreamcasts, They could push some pretty powerful pixels with the dc.

My biggest complaint is that the "rounders" look fugly. Virtual on:ortango tangram had beautiful designs and colors. Otherwise an awesome 360 game for cheap. Sadly Ubisoft really blew the promo for it.

OK I own a 360. Wartech is not another FPS. I am coming round to the idea that games don't have to be a FPS like the bizillion others. I'm not a shmup fan either so I hard to convice. Looking at the review here on CGRHD for the third time I'm thinking yeah this game Wartech is different. Its got the mark of classic shmup but projects it into a multi dimension and the combat transforms into an arena with fighting robots with swords. This game is going to be a classic.

I think there is deffinately a market for Microsoft to publish japanese games on the marketplace with or without translation....like you said just basic subtitled translation is fine.What if they managed to make some software that would roughly translate the japanese into english and then hand that over to the developers to put into there game like in PSO .

I played the game at China Town Fair when they had the game for less then one month.

The game is a lot of fun and you can pick it up for cheap now. It's an awesome game to play with friends. When you learn how to play it, it becomes an insane game.
