@McBenedictator True man..he needs it because he has a large hit box, so when people used to try and air rush you they used to fall on on it..now they get away with it since it disappears, but now you can combo easy after the flaming carpet, so that's a huge plus

some characters however do have timeless costumes that they can always pull off, such as spiderman, though i will probaly never play him with his classic outfit because most of his alternates are actually really impressive and more badass in my opinion. Anyways, im happy this ultimate version has so many different costumes, some are just color changes, but the new DLC Alternate costumes that have been revealed actually change the character design much more, I mean take a look at Hawkeyes DLC.
@kaycasey0813 I'd rather have a big release like this that balances all characters and game system. And the MvC games are based off comics, not movies which is why they keep their original costumes.

wouldn't having Active frames reduced mean the move animation is faster? that would be a buff to me if that was the case. Dr. Doom is looking too good right now.
@StreetMarker Active frames mean how long the attack can hit the opponent (a fireball has hundreds of active frames while a normal attack has quite few), so having less generally means less priority and therefore the move is less effective.
I'm actually more scared of the Hulk buffs than Doom's, because I still don't think doom will be easy to use and he actually required some skills to play. Hulk's combo potential is improved so if he catches you mashing light with a super armor move, you will probably be dead or close to it. And what moves does Hulk have that doesn't have super armor and an insane hitbox now? Dormammu got some very good buffs also.
Also Magneto hasn't changed much. Have you seen the stuff that dedicated Eric players can do? It's insane. Dormammu now has more options and I think the biggest and best change they could make to him and other trap setting characters (cough Phoenix) is to remove the traps once the character is hit. That alone makes a big impact on game play, and goes a long way to balancing out these characters
I've read through many of the comments and here's my take. Most of the people I play against use Doom, and from what I've seen, expect DLC to adjust Doom almost immediately. He's now broken. Hulk also has gotten times better. These changes make Hulk even more combo friendly than before in addition to the fact he deals tons of damage. Of all the characters mentioned, She-Hulk is now the most balanced.
Doctor dooms over head photon ray was defiantly not useless in vanilla,Its a great strategy to get in,Air Photon too downward airdash Medium overhead.Most people never see it coming :D

I played Doom on MVC3 and I always thought he was really slow and sorta hard to get in for a combo with...but even I think they just over did it by making him that fast.
I'm really liking the changes with Dormammu. I also really like that new alt color. I Approve 100% of everything they've done to Dormammu. He's always been one of my mains along with Deadpool and Super Skrull so I'm definitely curious as to how the tweaks are on them

@GetTheHook he hasn't lost his hyper armor, and his hp dropped 5000 points hardly noticeable. he got some good buffs with his sentinal drones and overall speed increase but his L.rocket punch can't cancel properly into HSF. hopefully he'll be a little more useful at higher level play now and less of overpowered character for causals. overall he doesn't look very good though, just like now.

Doom hasn't really changed much and his adjustments are mostly minor (don't call that Jumping S or the speed up on Photon Array a major buff) Put this Doom in Vanilla and he will just be right above Vanilla Doom who was High tier. The reason he will be moving up tiers in this game is the old S tiers got major nerfs while he didn't.
He's still no Vanilla Wolverine, Wesker, Dante, Magneto, Phoenix, Ammy, and maybe some others. And 750k solo is trivial.

You seem to be the only one that doesn't consider that a major buff, not to mention he seems to be the only one that got a faster Tri-jump and he is just better overall. If you were to slap this Doom on vanilla he would easily be just under Dark Jean.
750k solo is trivial, 750k solo using one level 1 hyper isn't. With one level 1 hyper the old vanilla S cast capped at around 600-700k, without DHC reset.
No. He wouldn't. Jumping S is a dumb buff, but it is NOT a tier changing buff. Especially if it were in Vanilla. All it gives Doom is easier time starting combos off Super jump heights. It's not Wolverine or even Trish's Divekick thanks to that lift-up he does on contact which he may or may not be able to air-dash cancel at the time.
This Youtube video isn't everybody with interest in the game. And from my view, you're the only one claiming Ultimate Doom > Vanilla S-tiers.
Also, the reason 750k solo is trivial is because most characters aren't judged by their solo combos. It's the combos with assists that are more applicable. Because either your character is backed up by assist(s) or they are on their own getting buffs from X-factor and multiple meters most of the time.
@Hailstormful I guess Capcom really liked how Max portrayed Doom on his show and he is one of the main villains game like Wesker and Dormammu. I think now with his buffs he could make a descent anchor character.
Finally!, She Hulk has super armor on her dash. I thought She Hulk was kinda kool and all, but she wasn't even a fan favorite, I just felt that some type of super armor on her dash suited her play style.
Please show Phoenix and Dark Phoenix. Has there been a limitation on the change for them? What I c for her so far is totally unfair... She seemingly got only severe nerfs while everyone else seems to have gotten 1 or 2 nerfs and a few boosts. She seems like a TERRIBLE character now, and that's not right for her to move from the top ten to the bottom.
Max, I would like to see Iron Man, Super Skrull, and Storm in your next UMVC3 changelong. I know you are doing Marvel characters now but I would like to see Zero, Spencer, and Crimson Viper if you ever do a Capcom changelog in the future.

@GetTheHook he hasn't lost his hyper armor, and his hp dropped 5000 points hardly noticeable. he got some good buffs with his sentinal drones and overall speed increase but his L.rocket punch can't cancel properly into HSF. hopefully he'll be a little more useful at higher level play now and less of overpowered character for causals. overall he doesn't look very good though, just like now.
FYI everyone complained about hulk in mvc2 look how he turned out lol and he never got nerfs.

His hyper armor for his launcher got reduced to super armor so you can attack him out of it now.

No. Absolutely not.
Doom hasn't really changed much and his adjustments are mostly minor (don't call that Jumping S or the speed up on Photon Array a major buff) Put this Doom in Vanilla and he will just be right above Vanilla Doom who was High tier. The reason he will be moving up tiers in this game is the old S tiers got major nerfs while he didn't.
He's still no Vanilla Wolverine, Wesker, Dante, Magneto, Phoenix, Ammy, and maybe some others. And 750k solo is trivial.

@metaXzero Ammy and others? Anyway, that jumping S IS the problem. You seem to be the only one that doesn't consider that a major buff, not to mention he seems to be the only one that got a faster Tri-jump and he is just better overall. If you were to slap this Doom on vanilla he would easily be just under Dark Jean.
750k solo is trivial, 750k solo using one level 1 hyper isn't. With one level 1 hyper the old vanilla S cast capped at around 600-700k, without DHC reset.

No. He wouldn't. Jumping S is a dumb buff, but it is NOT a tier changing buff. Especially if it were in Vanilla. All it gives Doom is easier time starting combos off Super jump heights. It's not Wolverine or even Trish's Divekick thanks to that lift-up he does on contact which he may or may not be able to air-dash cancel at the time.
This Youtube video isn't everybody with interest in the game. And from my view, you're the only one claiming Ultimate Doom > Vanilla S-tiers.

Also, the reason 750k solo is trivial is because most characters aren't judged by their solo combos. It's the combos with assists that are more applicable. Because either your character is backed up by assist(s) or they are on their own getting buffs from X-factor and multiple meters most of the time.

@Hailstormful I guess Capcom really liked how Max portrayed Doom on his show and he is one of the main villains game like Wesker and Dormammu. I think now with his buffs he could make a descent anchor character.

@Hailstormful No. Dormammu is also on the ULTRA MAJOR BUFF side of things. You may not use him enough to see just how dangerous these buffs are.

Finally!, She Hulk has super armor on her dash. I thought She Hulk was kinda kool and all, but she wasn't even a fan favorite, I just felt that some type of super armor on her dash suited her play style.

Please show Phoenix and Dark Phoenix. Has there been a limitation on the change for them? What I c for her so far is totally unfair... She seemingly got only severe nerfs while everyone else seems to have gotten 1 or 2 nerfs and a few boosts. She seems like a TERRIBLE character now, and that's not right for her to move from the top ten to the bottom.

Max, I would like to see Iron Man, Super Skrull, and Storm in your next UMVC3 changelong. I know you are doing Marvel characters now but I would like to see Zero, Spencer, and Crimson Viper if you ever do a Capcom changelog in the future.
