This song perfectly matches the music of Panzer Dragoon... it could of been in the game and you wouldn't think anything of it. Amazing choice, and great video!
I think Kanno Yoko (who composed this song) has expressed before that she is fond of the music from the Panzer series. I know at least that she reccomended the Orta soundtrack. I'd say it might not be a coincidence that the song seems so consistent with this game, but Kanno has done this sort of music before.
Looking into it I see that Kawai also, among a ton of other things, provided the music for the Saturn game Deep Fear. Shame about what happened to that game in translation.

Yoko Kanno didn't compose this song - this song is from the soundtrack to the film, which was composed by Kenji Kawai.
