@thisshitsucksful I think it's optional if a patient wants to be put under or not so,I'm guessing they asked for them to use laughing gas.I had four teeth extracted,but they only gave me Vicodin and numbed my mouth.

@cynopt well 2 of them broke through already and 2 didnt, so he cut the gums open, mostly pushed and pulled them out. 3 times he used something that sounded like a drill but he told me it was a saw to seperate the teeth from the jaw or something...so yeah i guess it was surgery aswell, i dont know where they draw the line....here u can choose to be put under aswell,it coasts a lot though and we don't get the nice drugs afterwards :D only ibuprofen

@lockerz38 Yeah but here in Europe they inject you with a strong local anaesthetic that should numb your entire mouth so it doesnt hurt, because you wont feel a thing. But you still remain fully conscious and don't start hallucinating lol. So I was wondering why in America they seem to give all sorts of other stuff too, since people seem so messed up after dentist. Here they might give you sedatives or laughing gas only if you have a like a severe phobia or something.
