he is driving like hell. he was a devil on the track. in my eyes better than schumacher and better than alonso and i am german. in the time while he was driving at mclaren he could be 2 times world champion but everytime he lost cause of too much broken engines of the fucking mclaren.
@supercooled In 2001 Sauber were actually pretty good, regularly finishing in the top 10 but picking up a lot of DNFs. Kimi's team mate was Nick Heidfeld and Sauber eventually finished 4th in the constructors ("best of the rest", a long way behind the top 3 teams).
@puddingpants7 yes, mclaren had a fast car in the years raikkonen gone to ferrari, but the car of raikkonen almost out of the race because of the motor,
and look, as hamilton came to mclaren, the car was perfect. this problem as raikkonen drove for mclaren, the team stolen him 2 championships
None.Kimi might be best in term of raw speed.however others are better in developing cars that make their car better then kimi. so the top drivers are equal.in the same car , i think Alonso or mike can be on par. If you ask about Ham, I will think any other top driver in the same car are better than him. he is to aggressive towards the wheels and need two pit stop while others need only one:)
@bazil83 hamilton is a goog racedrive, but i dislike him. remember the season 2008, massa should be the champion, not hamilton, he had to much luck in this season.
I'm a räikkönen fan, too. he's my favortie driver and for me the best racedriver. he hadn't any luck in mclaren, and now.....look at hamilton and the great car Mclaren......
@MrKillaRicky Well Raikkonen had lots of luck in 2007 too it happens to everyone thats racing. Mclaren went through a tough time with Kimi the cars were very fast but very unreliable they were going to turn it around eventually so dont act too surprised.
@MrKillaRicky Shut the fuck up you, bumder. I'm a Raikkonen fan 100% but if you can't recongnise the amazing drives Hamilton's putting in this season and that he's probably the best driver on the grid today, then you're not a real F1 fan.
@bazil83 I'm a big Hamilton fan but I have to disagree. He crashed out early in Monza, and tried to pull off an unrealistic overtake on Webber in Singapore. If he doesn't get points in Suzuka, then the championship imo is out of his reach.
@MrKillaRicky Shut the fuck up, bumder. I'm a Raikkonen fan 100% but if you can't recongnise the amazing drives Hamilton's putting in this season and that he's probably the best driver on the grid today, then you're not a real F1 fan.
What a drive, his first qualify, even his first lap too, not bad for a rookie, Kimi has talent guys. But in the middle of the 2008 season he kinda dropped for competing.
@Tranzorr The reason is because Ferrari started to develope the car more for Massa than Kimi. When Massa got injured, look how fast Raikkonen was the last part of season 2009,especially compared to Badoer and Fisichella....Fisico himself said that Ferrari is very difficult to drive...So ofcourse the car needs to be what Kimi wants, nobody, not Alonso,Hamilton or Schumarcher can win with car that is slow or unriable, but Kimi is also one of those drivers who have talent to push the car to its limits
@Balnazzardi Yes, Ferrari had bad times in 2009, all because of the new rules I'm sure =/ still now they do, but it looks not much, it's improving slowly. When Kimi was at McLaren I used to not like him, then when he drove for Ferrari I liked him lol, I don't like any driver when it comes racing for McLaren hehe I don't know why. I just don't like McLaren, all teams but them, I remember in 2007 they couldn't beat Ferrari without cheating and FIA caught them in the end haha. 0:26 - 0:34 AMAZING!!
@riflemanjim Overrated, why? He's a human, yes, not a racing god. Se are Senna, Schumi, Prost, Hamilton, Vettel. How is Kimi ANY worse then any of them?
@LePutaMadre He's nowhere as good as any of them, they, other than hamilton had to drive second rate cars, under developed cars,he was a poor ambassador for the sport, until he got the car from shcumi he wasn't a good development driver either. What makes hamilton superior to him was in his first season he almost won the championship.
@riflemanjim I agree to certain extent. However, he has the BEST car under him in the first year, with a team fully supporting him(even if its in mid season that the the team switch) .He has many years of racing exp before F1.Compare to Kimi who is in a "bad" car in the first year, only 23 races before F1, Hamilton of course looks good..Now, which driver had that kind of support in the first year?not even shumi, not even senna. Look at Jacques Villeneuve and ham than talk.
the legend is making a fool out of himself clearly showing us he had the best car by far in his glory days and FIA and Max Mosley defending all his questionable antics
meanwhile McLaren is taking the fight to Red Bull in the 2010 season and holding its own in commanding style
@McLarenMercedes all legends are overrated and he is old but you have to admit that mclaren is also very powerfull force in the fia and they have been accused of planing races like renault and spying truth is that the top teams are very dirty and this year at least we can say that mclaren was very lucky specially turkey china and melbourne
Those were the good ol' days. Kimi came in and wowed us all with his complete lack of experience. He was like a pro that day, I remember. Great F1 driver - will like seeing him back. Vettel reminds at times - and I've got an eye on Hulkenberg too. And as always Rosberg, Webber, Button, Alonso, Hammy, and old man shoe maker, eh, will be out for the kill as well. Should be fun to watch. I'm feeling sorry for Massa and Chello already...
Yes and I'm a Finnish Kimi fan since 2000, and I can tell you he's said many times he could've gone to McLaren (and he nearly did at that one point) but McLaren wouldn't give him equal opportunity against Lewis. Kimi knows how McLaren treats drivers.
You're 100% wrong. I don't know where you heard that from, PlanetF1 maybe (aka Lewis/McLaren fan site) I've seen them write discreetingly about Kimi.
Kimi said Ferrari changed drivers because they made a deal with Santander, and he said many times he wasn't satisfied with the terms McLaren could offer (nr.1 driver policy preferring Hamilton) and thus did not accept a contract.
Right now Kimi will see how the Rallying goes, as he still has a chance to race Reb Bull in F1 next year if he wants
So basically what you're saying is Kimi is lying when he claims Santander is the reason why Alonso replaces him at Ferrari, and that Kimi is lying when he claims he could have raced for McLaren but did not enjoy their terms, and preferred to go rallying. - And instead you believe what a biased Lewis fan site claims.
"F1 people" should respect Rallying, and not see it as the "graveyard of F1 drivers." Rallying is far more extreme than F1. Check out some onboard footage.
No I made that claim myself because nobody wanted to pick up raikkonen and his ridiculous contract. I don't even know what site you're talking about either lol. Ferrari got rid of him because he wasn't performing not because of santander. Be real. You're another delusional Raikkonen fan. I know rallying is very good thanks for sharing.
There is no reason why I should believe your opinion that is formed by Spanish and British medias, with the fact you're obviously either a Kimi hater or a Lewis fan. I consider myself a guy who can immediately spot the lies and disorientations of people's thinking that happens so much in the business of F1. If you knew anything, Ferrari never understood how Kimi was so bloody good last Autumn and it's actually not even a secret Alonso came with Santander.
Believe what you want. And my opinion is not from british or spanish media I live in north america. and I am a Lewis hamilton fan what does that have to do with anything I said?
You being Lewis fan has all to do with everything in this case. It's because of partiality affects your opinion. Whatever, fact remains Kimi was bloody good last Autumn and still got sacked, and he said himself it was because of Santander, not his driving. Also Kimi has stated he could've gone to McLaren but refused because he didn't agree with their terms (either not given equal status with Lewis or ridicilous amount of sponsor work, or both.)
Lol no it doesn't I'm a fan of the sport first. you're the one who cant keep his love for Raikkonen contained. If anyone has clouded judgement its you. And what part about him was bloody good? There is no equal status in formula 1! You're first team pilot or you're second simple as that. I don't know who Raikkonen thinks he is if he wanted to come into mclaren 3 years after leaving them and being first team pilot again.
Jeeesus You too . Don't write me anymore nonsense about Raikkonen. that is utter shit you just wrote. He has no right to come 3 years later and be number 1 over lewis hamilton and his salary proves nothing as he never backed it up.
kiminever cared about being No.1, he just want to race.If he cared, he would stay at McLaren, with Alonso and he will be No.1 driver as Alonso is the newcomer.
@dencod18 Why? Renault's not bad right now they were ok later in 2010 and this year they have two ok drivers and they are finishing fairly well so who knows what Kimi could accomplish. At this stage he'd be lucky just to get a ride.
@jraybay One reason he hates Renault. He said that he will never join Renault. And he was mad that Renault is spreading word that he is in talks with them.
@LePutaMadre I think you'll find it was Mclaren that wouldn't agree to Kimi's terms, he wanted to go rallying, they wanted him to get results in F1, he wanted daft money and they weren't prepared to pay it.
Driver status had nothing to do with it (Hamilton & Button have equal status), nor did sponsor work.
Kimi's biggest ptroblem was lack of communication with the team (Ferrari) and with his engineers, which is how Massa & Rob Smedley became the driving force in car development during 2008
But those statistics don't mean much, because there have been different points scoring systems. If the new points scoring system is adopted, they will become even more meaningless.
It's a shame. Lotus/USF1/Campos are likely to score more points in this coming season that records show Minardi scoring in a decade. It's a bit like having a lap record for the modern Hockenheim when for decades they were racing on the 20 second longer Hockhenheimring.
Someone needs to list new, separate statistics for most points scored for each points scoring system (there have been quite a few), so we can have a good comparison. I'm not against any points system (even though some are arguably better than others), but I am against comparing points scored under different points systems.
It does just completely warp the statistics of the sport. 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 wasn't a huge step from 10-6-4-3-2-1 (which they should have gone back too) so the stats still somewhat measure up - but to increase the top points by 250% will make the next few seasons uncomparable to any others.
I heard that Alonso takes Kimis place next year & this season is last for Kimi in F1... And it is pretty much official information. FUUUUUUUCKKKK! I think i will stop watching F1 after this season...
I would expect a statement like this from a WWE fan. Why don't you crawl back into your single wide, do some more crystal meth and your cousin and stop commenting on real sports you know nothing about.
