  • This song is intoxicating!!!!!

  • I FOUND IT!!!!!! I always knew the chorus but not the whole song !!!!! Thanks for uploading!!!!!

  • i am looking for a digital copy, but I tunes only had kareeoke version. Any Ideas? Thanks

  • I remember recording this on my VCR when it first came out. The quality sucked and I blamed my recorder and tape. Now I know it was the original video that sucked. It's one of my favorite video / songs regardless. The woman at 3:24 mesmerises me - those eyes . . .

    ?8^)

  • One of my all time favourite songs but the vid sucks :(

  • where can i find the original song??? i went on itunes but all i could find was a karaoke version. Let me know please

  • @ninthcaptain It's out of print. You can try finding an old copy of the CD somewhere. I had this on cassette single and I wore it out. I was fortunate to have someone toss me a digital copy and I have it backed up in about 9 different places. I don't know where the person who tossed it to me got it from, so I don't feel comfortable sharing. Good luck!

  • @ninthcaptain: You could also try one of the - ahem - mp3 youtube rip tools (there are many). If you google the name of this song and the artist, you will find a version with better audio. You'll just get stuck with the talking at the beginning, but it's better than nothing.

  • I bought the cassette just for this song!!

  • I remember buying this on a cassingle? in 1990. The girl i was seeing loved it and i bought it for her but ended up keeping it myself. Amazingly smooth song. I love it.sorry jennifer....

  • song was in my head this morning. had to look this up.

  • A blaast from my UK new wave 80's past

    Mr. Chip's

  • I fell in love with you and your music in 1979. but I was a self-absorbed budding singer and proved not worthy of you. Regardless, we are have both landed in the same boat. My church is most important to me. I'm sad for Richard's plight, and his passing. Silly, but I will always love how you made me feel with your music., and still do. Oh the memories.

  • Thank You sooooo much, I love this song !

  • wonderful ! really woderful video.

  • I'm stunned others have been looking for this song for so long.. AS I HAVE TOO!! It has been years for me.. Trying to remember lyrics.. But here we are (and CD on the way from Amazon!).

I have cassette singles still too.. Good Times! Cheers.

  • @easyriderzhd Me too...Also his version of Time of the Season....

  • So glad to FINALLY find this song! Thanks for posting!

  • i heard this on an OLDIES station about a week ago...hadn't heard this nugget in for friggin' EVER! summer of '90 flashbacks...

  • Oh Snap..smacks head...totally had a major brain fart...Brent Bourgeois isn't a one hit wonder after all....well sort of..

Bourgeois Tagg (which brent was in) had some minor league singles "mutual surrender" and "i don't mind at all" 4 years before "dare to fall in love".

  • had this one on cassette single...it was on the radio a lot in the early 90s..and still hear it on a rare flashback set.

  • i thought i was the only one who had the single on a cassette lol............glad to find it again

  • @DjJohnnyM68 cassette singles=nostalgia. all i had to remember when I saw the link to this clip were the words "i get what i deserve, if i dare to fall in love."

(actually i still have cassette singles at home!)

  • I wanna grab this off here and add the track from the CD! I will, once I figure out how.

  • Makes one wonder why he had this only hit. Great vocals and lyrics.

  • wonder if it had anything to do with his name...Bourgeois...(i've heard it pronounced Booj-wah and Burgess)

    Great song..

  • BURGESS!!?? Now that is funny! Must have been Texans

  • This is the only version of this song anywhere on the internet. Taking it down would be more of a crime than putting it up.

  • VALERIE27: I put up a version with better audio... click on my profile and check it out. :-)

  • Sucks they keep pulling this one down.

    LOVE it.

One of the best of the 90s.

  • I know what a 45 is! You're not alone, babe.

  • But do you remember 78's?

  • Sure do. I don't think I owned any, though. I think my grandparents did. I remember records that were colored, too, yellow, red, green, orange. Remember those?

  • awesome song and artist!!! Got the cd and it definitely is worth listening too.

thanks for posting the video....my last copy got trashed by youtube or google

  • Thank you 'Classic'. I carry a torch for my late spouse, it's been over seven years and time dulls the pain somewhat but not the memory of her. ;-)

  • God bless you and keep her memories alive to you but less painful.

  • Dear 'PawneeBill47': Thanks for your kind words. As I have had time to grieve, mourn the loss of Her a recurrent theme comes often to mind. It is that the pain of loss can be viewed as a gift. To have the pain and acknowledge it validates that once there existed something of inestimable worth. Most of the time the awareness of this has to, and does, suffice.

My late-Mother once counseled me: "You can shed a tear because she has died yet spare a smile because she lived".

    Thanks once more.

  • Excellent words on the part of your mom. Always chin up. Best of the best to you. Bill

  • Haunting.

Skews toward becoming my personal anthem. I lost the love of a singularly exquisite woman, my wife, through cancer. I hope that she heard this song during her lifetime...

  • Good luck and stay strong. Keep in mind that she is looking after you whatever you do or wherever you go. Sometimes life can tear our mind appart. Make sure to be surrounded by family and friends. :)

  • @TralfazConstruction I sympathize with u.. i lost my wife in 2007 and i too lost the love of my life. This song takes me to abetter place.

  • @Tspsoldierboy : I understand your feelings surrounding your loss, 'Soldier'. Those memories which you have will linger, mostly pleasantly, for as long as you shall live. The best to you.

  • My all time favorite song.

  • hahahahahahaha, i hate that, I have "dare to fall in love " tatooed on my arm. Its the ultimate dare! Too bad you usually lose. Didnt know that till recently.

  • I like to think of it as not losing, but learning. And the best part is, it wasn't right. Just an experiment to the real thing.

  • Your welcome, and if you can find the CD, get it. There's not a bad cut on the whole disc.

  • You know my mom and I thought this was extremely soulful, as it is. When I lived in Rapid City, this got tons of spins especially on KKMK 93.9 (AC). Unforgettable song in my book.

  • gosh! i remember this ! can it really be almost 20 years? i remember having the tape(or cd-single,can't remember) anyway.wow!!

  • Thank you soooo much for posting this. I had been trying forever to figure out this song (found this when I Googled "bourgeois" because that is all I could remember). Now if this was available on itunes I would be set.

  • The man behind THE GREATEST Contemporary Christian Music album of all time!

  • Yes, Brent did a fantastic remake of "Time of the Season" which is on the same CD as this song. Great CD, IF you can find it.

  • Its back! Hooray! One of my favorite songs of all time.

  • Oh wow; thanks for putting this back up.

I simply love this song. Love it love it.

  • I just love this song

  • Never saw the video before today, slick as the production of the album. Have the first three albums in fact. Some really deep, haunting material... Thanks for posting the video

  • love the song, great video

  • awesome song.
