The chanting works because the composer worked with the brevity of each fight. My favorite Boss theme would be the Doomsday theme of S&K (but only with Metal Sonic, the pacing of the fight followed the beat of the music flawlessly and isn't that great as a chase theme)
Oddly, this track seems overlooked. I've always found it one of the best FINAL BOSS themes, both in FE and in gaming in general, up there with Alvis's pure awesomeness from FE4.
@Oldsnake04 Atleast some games like SMB & LoZ always don't have that ****, games like these prove the Nintendo dominates the soundtrack parts of games. Hell some games don't even have bosses, ****ing FPSs atleast Halo 2 had them
@Oldsnake04 Well, metal riffs have always been in boss themes (Contra, certain Mega Man RM's/Mavericks, etc), but I see what you mean. Those songs usually had character and were memorable, whereas the boss songs of today are generic at best.
Good old times, Armads versus good old Nergal.

Nergal was a boss to be feared...No matter if your unit was so heavily promoted to the level of god-like, still nergal was to be feared.

This sounds like it was based on a song from the Lion King. Scar sings it. It's called "Be Prepared"

It's been several years since I finished the game. Nergal's crazy eye still creeps me out.

A true boss theme. We rarely get these anymore. Boss themes are now made by metal riffs and butt rock. Were has the epic gone?
