  • i'm sorry but i have no clue what he's saying...

  • such a boss

  • He's like an onion wrapped in phyllo, swaddled in blankets, under a mile of earth, his layers are relentless Genius!!

  • @curiousdebois inventive description!

  • Is that Bruce Matishke on lead guitar?

    Sure looks like him!

  • @grollum2

    No - Eric Ambel.

  • Nuff said :)

  • I listen to a lot of music and can honestly say that this song is one of my favorite songs of all time. The guitar riffs are magical to say the least.

  • Love this song!

  • steve earle is one of the best singer songwriters of this century. his music and olotics blend perfectly, a man who writes about what he beleives in.

  • steve earl is amazing.. hes todays john lennon.. mixed with hank willams and the know how to put just the right amount of hook into something

  • Is this KURT COBAINS DAD?

    HAHA

  • @YaroKior and @niuniek777

Nirvana was a great band, but if you folks think that is where the influences are here, you need to learn more about music. There is a whole history before Cobain, though they do draw on some of the same influences, Steve learned it much earlier.

And no, he is Justin Townes Earle's dad.

  • and that's eric idle playiing lead yes? (of joan jett / del lords fame)

  • @pamxtom

Eric Idle is an actor --- but yes, Eric "Roscoe" Ambel of the Del Lords is on guitar. Kelly Looney on bass and Will Rigby on drums.

  • love this song!

  • Sounds like Nirvana blues, GREAT!!

  • exposed to Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark at 17, he had no choice but to become a folk music god

  • @007brush Hi there....Steve is playing an electric: An Epiphone Casino. The lead guitarist is playing a Gibson Les Paul Special w/ P90 pickups. The bassist is playing what looks like a '51 Fender P-Bass. (The early P-bass models had Tele style headstocks)
