JESUS CHRIZZZ...Youtube comments crack me up. This Break Boys track was a direct response to Pistol Pete's "Don't Bum Rush The Sound" which copied the style of the first Break Boys "And The Break Goes On". That original sampled "Apachie" not The Winstons.
another funky dope gem for the 30/40somethings to reminisce over. along with masters at work and todd terry, some kickass dance tunes.FRESH for 89.... You Suckas!! btw is the synth in the intro a sample? if so can anyone tell me where its from please?
thanx chicagowax n tambian, the apache break i know all about. it's my all-time favourite drum break, actually.but i'll be hunting down the yazoo track. cheers pepole!!
@golden88aged you people must probably be house funs cause there is not even one [hip hop'] break boy who does not know Apache. Apache is the Bronx National Anthem since 1973
@tambian yes mate this did some proper damage my feet are still hurting from 89 ha ha the best days of my life the whole outdoor rave seen loved all the acid house and wicked tunes like this
one of the best tunes ever made, cheers frankie

I am down with the origin of this breakbeat now...thanx for the tip!
Chicagowax 3 years ago
@Chicagowax It's actually not Michael Viners Bongo band but a more direct rip from from The Winstons - Amen Brother.

Yeah tam, Frankie Bones produced stuff always did massive dancefloor damage at all the raves back in the daze(so I heard LOL!).
I was a massive fan of Frankie Bones and just got anything with his name on it! Same for Tommy Musto, Lenny Dee and Victor Simonelli etc al.
Good times!

I think ive lost count the amount of times
Michael Viners Original 'APACHE' has been sampled...not bad for a track that was released way back in 1973!..
But this track did some real damage regarding the outdoor raves of 89.
Nice post!
