Gary has the ability to turn something thats not so complicated into a superb masterpiece.. like The Deep.. and when he plays something really difficult its like having this monster talking to you, getting you stunned by its magnificence. Awesome.
I know what you mean, Hoey rocks! Seen him once and plan on seeing him again in March. Not sure why he's so under-rated. It might be because he does so many cover songs? Whatever the case he is definately not lacking in originality. As for the "Fender" debate below, Strat's are commonly used for blues because of the single coil output. But they can definately be used for rock. Not sure what pickups he used in this vid. Gary also plays Gibson and Hamer, so he's not strat exclusive.
