  • isnt hitting the rev limiter while launching bad cus ull just spin the tires a lot

like going for 2,400 rpm isnt better?

  • @MrBeto2020 Launch, while hitting a rev limiter is bad, launch, while hitting 2 step rev limiter is better, because is controllable. You need to spin your tires a little bit, if you want a good start. Launching at 2400rpm, your engine would probably "choke", because traction is too good (on dry tarmac). Actually I don't use my LC at all on dry asphalt recently, I don't want to change more clutch discs, but I like LC on wet/icy/snowy surfaces verys much! It gives me quick and easy launches:)

  • @dolphinLT oh ok

    thanks

  • @MrBeto2020 ehh youre right, but 2400 wont build any boost. redline can damage your axels. thats why my buddy has hit set to 4900...that way its fairly low revs and it builds enough boost to pull hard

  • @MrBeto2020 lol for turbo cars rev limiter is better than not having it, and i dont think you'll have to worry about tire spin on an evo at launch, and NO tire spin is not good at all your losing traction instead of putting the power straight down to the ground..

  • @CEONER85 i didnt know about the 2 step when i commented, now i know :)

  • What's the reasoning for having a 2 step rev limiter? Don't read this as sarcastic, purely just trying to find out.

  • @op3l Reason is a good launch.

  • @op3l Its so u can build up turbo boost while the clutch is in still so when u pop/slip/drop the clutch, u will already have high boost.

  • @op3l reason is your fooling your turbo to thinking your maxing out your motors rev limit so your turbo will spool up giving you almost full boost going 0mph/kph basically giving you as much power to prevent turbo lag and such at launch, thats why turbo drag cars always have 2 step... hope that helps.

  • wats dat..dat must be a 1 step

  • Go mopar

  • And btw.. I own a Pontiac Grand AM GT with a CAI. I don't run ricers. The only car I would probably ever buy that was from over seas would be an 350Z. :]

  • @a7xalterbridgerock , put a flowmaster or magnaflow on it. let me guess... when you bought your CAI you asked if it sucked more air? and the only reason youd buy a 350z is cause you think your gunna be some sickkk drifter cause you can watch the fast and furious? haha people like you are so ignorant

  • @twistedreeds no not at all. I dont really think that a flowmaster or magnaflow sounds right on a v6. I had flowmasters put on my sonoma and it just sounded wimpy. but if you get the right tuner exhaust and dual it out a v6 motor can sound quite nice. I'ver heard some really great sounding Z's running around my city.

And the reason I would like to buy a 350z is because i have memories in that car. So as soon as I graduate from college with my degree in criminal justice.. I'll be buying one. K.

  • @a7xalterbridgerock ohh your a trailer trash pig... makes sense now. i dont know how your comparing a z to a grand am they are NOTHING alike, grand ams are like the in between car, the pussed out on making it a v8 and they didnt want to make it a 4 cyl and they didnt want a sports car and they didnt want a family car, so they got stuck in the middle with this hunk of shit thats huge like a boat and still doesnt go anywhere fast.

  • @a7xalterbridgerock i gaurentee if you put a canister style muffler on your grandam no one would even give you respect because of how stupid you are. put a magnaflow on and it would sound decent, theres only a handful of v6's out there that are worthy of a canister exhaust. 300zx is a prime example. if you dont want magnaflow or flowmaster get some straight pipe and run a catless dual exhaust from the headers back

  • @a7xalterbridgerock and if thats too loud and raspy for your taste throw in a glass pack on each side to tone it down some.

  • @twistedreeds we will see. I don't know what I'm going to do yet. But whatever it is.. I'm sure it will sound good. i don't care about respect. If I like it I like it... and I'm sure you'll never have to hear it so.. whatever e-thug

  • so all stock evos have this?

  • @johntran not all.

  • @dolphinLT it doesnt really matter to me, but im looking for an evo right now; so i was just wondering. so would 2003 evo 8's have them? or would i have to program it into the stock ecu?

  • @johntran Unless it will be pre-programmed, you could program it VERY easily. You or any tuner could do it in 2 minutes;)

  • @dolphinLT oh thanks for clearing that up

  • what kinda 2 step is that

  • @XxPointMan612xX , it was on stock ECU

  • a7xalterbridgerock = ricer

  • hahaha

  • does anyone know if just putting a muffler like that on a car makes it sound like that.. or if i put one on my car would it really do nothing.

  • @a7xalterbridgerock official fail comment of the day hahaha wow people are stupid

  • @twistedreeds i dont think you understand. I mean... obviously a muffer changes the sound of the car.. but is there anything else you have to do to it. Change the pipes, headers.. what. I mean idk. I see some pretty shitty 4 banger cars running around my town that sound kinda cool.. and all they seem to have is a little coffee can muffler on the back. I just want to know if I can get a similar sound by just using a pair of those. Seems logical to me.

  • @a7xalterbridgerock well now that you say you own a grand am it all makes sense, your some stupid trailer trash who knows nothing and dropped outa school in 11th grade. obviously any kind of after market exhaust will make your car sound louder, if your even thinking about putting a canister style exhaust on your grandam your stupid

  • how much is 2 step ?

  • you have to program it. You can flash it onto the stock ECU, so you need a cable to connect the ECU to a laptop and you can use free software to program it... sooo idk 80 to $100 for a cable.

  • @desekzone comes stock with the car

  • what exhasut is that

  • TurboXS

  • sweet man

    sounds pure =) iloveit<3

  • Yo im gettin an evo soon how do i get that 2 step.. the TurboXS Utec that costs 1k?

  • No. You need to reflash your stock ECU, what you have to buy/borrow is openport cable only... google openecu/ecuflash/tactrix/evoscan ;)

  • when your in the car what do you do to perform the 2 step?

  • Press the clutch, into the first gear and full throttle ;)

View my other video, to see how much boost it gains...

  • do u dump the clutch or ease off of it to take off?

  • Realease (depress pedal) clutch quickly, unless you want to cook your clutch disc...

  • You need to release it very quickly, but smoothly. Slow clutch release = fried clutch. Instant clutch release = strain on tranny.

  • will using the 2 step hurt the motor if used a lot?

  • no, not at all. It's just a rev limiter. now anti-lag (which causes large backfires to spool the turbo even more) can damage turbos if used excessively. But even anti-lag won't hurt engines.

  • you can find a utec for $50 used like mine... they are an abandoned market for the evos.. so dont get one unless you know how to tune

  • look at this 2step.

  • yes, thats how a 2 step is SUPPOSED to sound

  • what is that 2 step?

  • 2 step is a.k.a. launch control ;)

  • NICE!!! What exhaust??? It looks like Apexi N1

  • It's TurboXS ;) but in reality it sounds much more better.. Soon I'll upload better quality video;)
