  • Was that lemonade you had in that glass in the final shot? lol

    - Alan

  • @SpainPipe LOL! Actually, it was pure Indian Tonic Water from Schweppes... no gin. :-)

    Cheers,

    -Mike

  • Looking mighty cool in those sunglasses:) And I agree whith PipsterJim, that pipe shape really suits you well!

    Cheers

    Simon

  • @smeden91 Thank you Simon!

    Cheers,

    Mike

  • That is a great looking pipe! How does it smoke? I love that style.

    PipeCop

  • @Dlgillen Thank you sir! It's a great smoker. Both with, and without the 9mm filter. It's an estate, but I doubt it's been even broken in. I'm very happy with it and I really like this style myself... Classic, yet free. :-)

    Cheers,

    -Mike

  • Excellent, nice to have a comfortable outdoors smoking spot where you can enjoy the warmer months. Also, that is a very good pipe for you. I have been thinking recently about how different pipe shapes suit different folks and I think the rhodesian shape suits you quite well!

  • @PipesterJim Hi Jim! Thanks for watching. Yeah, as an outdoor smoker in this part of the world, one has to be creative. I wish I could turn the patio into a little cabin but I don't think the landlord would approve. :-) You know my modesty forbids, but I do actually think this pipe shape goes pretty good with my lopsided face. LOL!

    Best regards,

    -Mike

  • Heaven—Haven

(A nun takes the veil) I HAVE desired to go Where springs not fail,

To fields where flies no sharp and sided hail And a few lilies blow. And I have asked to be Where no storms come,

Where the green swell is in the havens dumb, And out of the swing of the sea.

    G. M. Hopkins

  • @joffrethegiant A very fitting poem I'd say. Thank you very much Joffre!

    Cheers,

    -Mike

  • alee...

  • Nice windscreen! Nice pipe! That shape looks similar to a Bjarne I have, whose shape is called "bullcap." Mine doesn't have the square shank on it is the main difference.

Cheers, and happy smoking in the sun, my friend.

    Crow

  • @cacrow Thank you Crow! I think this is my favourite pipe shape. I got confirmation that it was made in Saint-Claude, France on behalf of Phillip Weiss & Söhne (now Pfiefenkonsulat) in Vienna. It's a 1970's-80's series.

    Cheers mate!

    -Mike

  • Sweden has a King right?

  • @MonarchistPipeBrit We do... so far... next up is a Queen.

Odd question if you don't mind me saying so? :-)

  • @Flieger671 I was just wondering because in history, Scandinavia influenced some of Britain's culture during the viking age.

  • @MonarchistPipeBrit Oh, I see... Well, our current Royal lineage came from France in 1818 with Jean Bernadotte (Charles XIV John of Sweden). But I saw that Wiki had a lot of info on old Swedish Royaltys.

    Best,

    -Mike

  • Now THAT'S dedication to pipe smoking! Love it.

  • @MahkMahkMark Thank you Mark, I think we are all show signs of obsessive compulsive disorder (to varous degrees) when it comes to pipe smoking. :-)

  • Mike - looks like you've tamed the windy day pipe smoking demons. Nice video and pipe. Best, Gary

  • @MrPipeAdmirer Thanks Gary,

Since the season for outdoor pipe smoking is so short over here, I thought I'd better try to make it as comfortable as possible. :-)

    Cheers,

    -Mike

  • Most relaxing....And that's a cool tamper too.

  • @raindog951 Thank you sir. I still carve the odd tamper now and then for people who want something custom-made. ;-)

    Cheers,

    Mike

  • So is the wind break working? All we want is a place we can enjoy our smoke, I hope you find yours. Thanks for sharing.

  • @tobaccoburner Oh yes, it works! Winds are sneaky and comes from all angles, but I managed to deflect most of them. I haven't tried yet, but I think I might even be able to light up with matches now. :-)

    Cheers mate,

    -Mike

  • Peaceful and relaxing...Ahhhhhh

  • @TheMatrixPipe Unfortunately still a bit chilly over here but it will be much better in a couple of weeks.

    Cheers!

  • The pipe looks good, and so do you.

    Cheers

    Gustavo

  • Excellent place for smoking, a separate world of tranquility and peace!

    Igor

  • @ZubrisLV Not as private as one of SpainPipe's "bubbles", but pretty good anyway. Cheers mate!

    -Mike

  • @Flieger671 Haha........ They are great heat amplifiers as well - You are determined to have me try this out! lol

    - Alan

  • That's what I found for you Mike: "The pipe brand Admiral is a special private brand of the traditional company Philip Weiss & Sons. Produced were varied series of Peterson in Ireland and other well-known pipe manufacturers from the region of Saint Claude in France. This form of license production has emerged a wide range of different series, each representing a historical specificity." It's a old Austrian pipemaking company.

  • @ZubrisLV Fantastic Igor! Where did you find that info?

    Thanks a million!

    -Mike

  • RRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Looks good & nice pipe, sure was windy yesterday traveling fro Ski Town USA in Colorado to Las Vegas

    Cheers

    Brian

  • @TheSacredSmoke Thanks Brian. Yeah, I imagine you get some pretty nasty winds in your area as well. They take a lot of the fun out of pipe smoking.

    Cheers,

    -Mike
