@Dlgillen Thank you sir! It's a great smoker. Both with, and without the 9mm filter. It's an estate, but I doubt it's been even broken in. I'm very happy with it and I really like this style myself... Classic, yet free. :-)
Excellent, nice to have a comfortable outdoors smoking spot where you can enjoy the warmer months. Also, that is a very good pipe for you. I have been thinking recently about how different pipe shapes suit different folks and I think the rhodesian shape suits you quite well!
@PipesterJim Hi Jim! Thanks for watching. Yeah, as an outdoor smoker in this part of the world, one has to be creative. I wish I could turn the patio into a little cabin but I don't think the landlord would approve. :-) You know my modesty forbids, but I do actually think this pipe shape goes pretty good with my lopsided face. LOL!
Nice windscreen! Nice pipe! That shape looks similar to a Bjarne I have, whose shape is called "bullcap." Mine doesn't have the square shank on it is the main difference.
@cacrow Thank you Crow! I think this is my favourite pipe shape. I got confirmation that it was made in Saint-Claude, France on behalf of Phillip Weiss & Söhne (now Pfiefenkonsulat) in Vienna. It's a 1970's-80's series.
@MonarchistPipeBrit Oh, I see... Well, our current Royal lineage came from France in 1818 with Jean Bernadotte (Charles XIV John of Sweden). But I saw that Wiki had a lot of info on old Swedish Royaltys.
@tobaccoburner Oh yes, it works! Winds are sneaky and comes from all angles, but I managed to deflect most of them. I haven't tried yet, but I think I might even be able to light up with matches now. :-)
That's what I found for you Mike: "The pipe brand Admiral is a special private brand of the traditional company Philip Weiss & Sons. Produced were varied series of Peterson in Ireland and other well-known pipe manufacturers from the region of Saint Claude in France. This form of license production has emerged a wide range of different series, each representing a historical specificity." It's a old Austrian pipemaking company.
Was that lemonade you had in that glass in the final shot? lol

Heaven—Haven
(A nun takes the veil) I HAVE desired to go Where springs not fail,
To fields where flies no sharp and sided hail And a few lilies blow. And I have asked to be Where no storms come,
Where the green swell is in the havens dumb, And out of the swing of the sea.
