For those of you watching this and seeing how hard of a time he has with the shield+spear enemies, just two-hand your weapon and it will break their guard opening them up for attacks.

@PretentiousCat Nah. Kicking them breaks the guard without much of a endurance loss from your part. Just kick and cleave, easy as pie.

The DRAKE can kill all the enemies on the bridge for you: go upstairs where the DRAKE is and walk a little on the bridge. The DRAKE will make a "breath noise", then RUN back downstairs and the DRAKE fire breath will kill all of them. That´s 555 Souls for you. :-)

Again, very late, but One useful thing about the Uchigatana is that it has a bleed effect, if you hit an enemy multiple times in quick succession, it takes an automatic 300 damage.

@AsTheWorldSpinsAgain adding on to that if you want to kill the Stary Demon back at the Asylum (if you know how to get back) he has a really low bleed effect so if you know how to dodge you can kill him very easy at the start of the game

dude, u have to shoot the drake's tail 45 to 50 times and you get the drake sword. and the drake sword does 200 damage. haha be more aggressive puss lol. but great job/great game bro

@guitarxgodx11 u kno u can shoot it 1-2 times with the arrow, each time u shoot it when the tail gets close to the edge after u agro it when its hit by tthe arrow, atk it's tail with ur weapon. it saves a lot of time and ppl dont always seem to do it so just putting it out there.

get a shortbow and about 70 arrows it only takes 5 minutes of shooting the tail to get this sword. highly recomend it

I know of another way to get the Drake Sword thanks to goodling...you can lure the dragon onto the bridge by running against a wall across from the steps and then when he lands on the bridge just run out and chop at his tail, thus youll get the sword xD

BTW I don't yet have this game just planning on getting it so been watching your playthrough to get a good feel of it.

@crayznoodle just do the arrow strategy, but when his tail gets close to the edge cut it w/ ur weapon. And im getting the game for christmas so im also trying to get familiar w/ it so i can pwn from the get go.

you can get the drake sword by shooting an arrow at its tail every time it returns to the middle of the bridge, it took me like 32 arrows to get it and my boyfriend like 25, i guess the number changes :S but its really worth it :)

There is a smith in the graveyard. If you are in the area where the bird dropped u off there should be a staircase down and u continue down to an elevator then go down and got to the right of the graveyard and there is a staircase that is halfway destroyed and a smith who is in a cell talk to him.

can anyone answer me this question, ghostrobo keeps saying that a bow is required, however in the undead burg you can find a crosbow and some bolts, could these work as well, i assume so but it might be the crosbow can't deal enough damage or hasn't the range

@jozan1313 In fact with a bow you can aim manually (tap L1 / left trigger) and fire on things out of normal range. You can't do that with crossbows.

@jozan1313, the crossbow doesnt work because you cant aim while using it. if you still want the drake sword, you can buy arrows from another merchant that you find later in the game.

@matiassa7 I got my sword from that drake by shooting its tail with crossbow. I aimed it with binoculars and then switched to xbow, had few misses but it worked.

@memwyvern Not really. If you know what you're doing, it's rather simple, if frustrating. The big sword guy he was fighting last episode? Just a normal Demon's Souls enemy made larger and stronger. he has the exact same attack animations. If you can fight a Blue Eyes Knight in DS (which is simple, once you know how), you can fight those things.

Jk Another way is to go All the way back to first bonfire, go down the narrow path to the elevator, stand in the middle, at bottom: go left down first set then there is one of those souls then continue down the rest go stay to the right of the wall, but Do Not Go up the other set of stairs! Go to the edge

hey just so you know the really big guy with the sword his weakness is when he swings i was observing all the videos where you faught him and when he swings he has 3 attacks 2 slash 1 stab 2slash and 1 slash in order to avoid ALL of these i think the best thing would be to roll either to the left right or backward so long as you dont roll of a ledge and IAmAGamer519 is right your doing awesome man keep this walkthrough going cause YOU DA MAN

this game is alot easier than demon souls in demon souls u saw a dark night about 30 mins into the game and the dragon in lv 1-1 also your health bar was alot shorter at this point in the game and enemies did more damage. the red knights do look stronger but everything else seems weaker. and i was no noob in demon souls main char was 132 and had 2 alts both over lv 80 and beat the game over 6 times

Poison goes away on its own, but after some time and HP lose :)

There are items that cure poison but you don't have any on you.

Lastly, yes your weapon has decreased stats because of the low durability. BTW your new samurai sword is one of the lowest durable swords in the game. If I am right you should be able to repair your equipment in the check point. Look up where to repair stuff
