  • me encanta dave y amo a john petrucci aguante argentina

  • guy´s like, billy sheehan are crazy fast and technical, but I think dave la rue and stuart hamm, have a lot more feeling..

  • He has a great solo album... Hub City Kids i think

  • Madness, props to Dave Larue.

  • i'll definitly buy a bongo bass tomorrow

  • he is almost as good as me. lol

  • Yeah...me too!! We can always dream...

  • Dave LaRue deserves alot more credit than he is given, espescially his slap and pluck style of bass playing, that he can adapt to speed up relatively fast. Nice One Dave

  • well that man deserves that solo!

  • Note how they all go crazy once he busts out the thumb- doesn't matter what he actually plays

  • that's so true :D

even i who doesn't prefer playin' with the thumb, once in a while play some funky slap :D

btw, dave la rue rocks :D

  • @wcr4

well he does play a pretty decent groove

  • He's enjoying the music so much! Great musical taste and what a great tecnique!

  • He also plays with Steve Morse. Yes, he is playing a Music Man bass. (Petrucci and Morse do too.)

  • is that a musicman bass?

  • Yeah it's a Music Man Bongo

  • this bass player doens't play with Joe Petrucci?

  • John Petrucci or Joe Satriani. He playes with both

  • no offense to stu hamm, he´s great but I like dave better!

  • dave is awesome on bass!

  • fucking annoying fans shouting

stfu and listen to the music, you're fucking distracting assholes

  • mm bongo bass.. i like it

  • I wish I was going to Stetson. It would be killer to study with Dave LaRue

  • How does LaRue get that midrange roar at 23 seconds?

  • He's compressing with an extreme ratio but high threshold, so you don't really hear his compression until he NAILS the strings hard, but then when he DOES, it compresses the shit out of it. Same thing Stanley Clarke used to do.

  • Oh he uses hard knee not overeasy? Thanks bro.

  • Is this a Satriani song? I like it very much, if someone could tell me the name of it I'd appreciate it.

  • Ooops it says in the title haha.

  • i saw this guy play yesterday he's nuts

  • His Bass...

    The Snack that Smiles Back!

  • Lmfao it doesn't look like goldfish crackers to me.

  • hot stuff

  • Can somebody tell me if he lands on the A string with the thumb when he slaps the E string, like Wooten?

    I'm not sure. Tnx (-:

  • watch his slap bass lesson vid, and you will see how he slaps the string...

  • done. I was right

  • Dave has a great feeling!!

  • ROCK ON DAVE!

  • is the name of this song referring to the musical concept of a sharp nine?

  • larue is a beast1!!!!!!!

  • they should do a B3, with LaRue,Patituchi, and Wooten, DAMM THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!

  • B3 exists, it's called BX3, google it:P

  • larue patituchi and Wooten damn could be awesome

but myng, deep purple bassist (i forgot the name) and resurrected Clifford lee Burton that will be a fucking great show
