  • one of best series of vids on Rabbit shooting I've seen (great narration) ... is that a rapid or Daystate mag that's sticking?

  • Hello, you believe that I can hunt rabbits with a deer camo csi 5.5 722fps?

I have tested with pigeons and no problem.

  • i have a break barrel .22 cal 950fps for cheap message me if anny questions

  • after every kill why do u have to say i take my clean head shot?

  • really good video, used to go lamping with my granddad, just got an 22. air rifle, any tips for hunting rabbit ?

  • amazing shopt at 60yds

  • @scamsr11 Thank you, my 30ft/lb Theoben is very deadly at that range.

  • @HuntersVermin Hey man, 1st off love the videos...recently ive been seeing a couple of foxes in my back garden and was wanting to know if a .22 would do the job at about 60 yds.

  • @capritchard1 A .22lr rim fire yes if it is a safe shot but not an air rifle.

  • Another really good video, im a big fan!

Do you ever use any camo on your rifle when hunting?

  • so,i can't find much info on myxomitosis. is it transferrable to humans and if you take a rabbit with it,how would you dispose of it? fire?

  • @dbbigdaddy Myxomatosis is spread from rabbit to rabbit by the rabbit flea, it is not supposed to be transferable to humans though if i shot one i would leave it in the hedge for a hungry fox to have it. Rabbits with Myxomatosis will look very sickly and will have swollen eyes and anus.

  • @HuntersVermin I have recently bagged my first few rabbits, one by waiting and using the high pitched squeak to lure it out however, I was wondering if you had any tips on ambushing rabbits such as where to lay i.e near bushes, behind their holes etc. ANY help would be greatlly appreciated.

  • @looperterd Very good. when i am ambushing rabbits i tuck myself into the hedge within range of their holes with the wind blowing from them to me so they can't smell me. I sit very quietly with the gun loaded and at the ready and take them cleanly as they come out to feed in the field. Leave them there till your ready to go so you don't spook any other rabbits on their way out.

  • @HuntersVermin Thanks ALOT for the advice! Now it's time to put it to good use.

  • Would 350fps be enough to take down any animal? I'm from Northern Ireland too

  • how do you repressurize the reservoir during a hunt. do you have a pump or scuba tank with you?

  • @kumquatsta Since my Theoben has 50+ shots from a full charge i rarely need a recharge in the field but i could take another fully charged buddy bottle with me to replace the empty one if i needed more shots.

  • @HuntersVermin

Is it true you can hunt with a bb gun and still kill a rabbit, cause im 11 and I have a single shot 35fps scorpion rifle (bb type) and I might start asking any farmers if the need some help with the vermin?

  • @360darkwolf no youll want at least a pellit rifle to hunt a rabbit with. bb guns just dont have enough power to kill a rabbit.

  • @360darkwolf No bb guns aren't accurate or powerful enough for hunting, you'd be better off with an air rifle with 11.5ft/lb of power 560fps in .22cal or 780fps in .177. But you might have to wait till your a little older.

  • Do you have any ticks in Great Britain? Our rabbits and squirrels will get infested with them in cycles. Seems like a mild winter will bring on more ticks the following year. Our deer in Pennsylvania had lots of ticks this year, too. Keep those videos coming. Very enjoyable.

  • @V8C2n6i4 Yes the rabbits ears would be covered in flies in the summer and we would have ticks but thankfully i have rarely seen any.

  • where do u hunt rabbit at?

  • always love to watch your vids... any winter hunts coming up? keep them coming. Rabbit and Grey Squirrel are always a great treat. I love to trick the wife and tell her its chicken or lamb, she usually gives complements of best stew ever lamo.

  • sure enough ;)

  • wat country are you in.

  • @maxwell64440 - He's in Saudi Arabia...obviously

  • @maxwell64440 I live and hunt in Northern Ireland.

  • You have created an excellent video. The filming and audio were well done.

  • @jamesrking1 Thank you very much.

  • Practice by myself witout anyone with me

  • Okay. I already have 6 real guns, but when i shoot my dad has to be out with me. My lowest caliber rifle is my 22lr marlin game series rifle, and i want a airrifle i can go out, practice getting better with the marlin. And i was looking at the breeman 1051 air rifle. Its fps is close to the 22lr it is 1,000fps. Do u guys think it would be a good choice

  • I really want to get an Air Rifle, maybe not for hunting straight away but maybe in the future is there any (CHEAP) ones you would recomend for a first time buyer?

  • why do you squeeze the rabbits belly?

  • @gibsonsrock369 To empty the bladder.

  • very nice shot

  • I love rabbit hunting. Your an amazing hunter by the way. Where did you get your shootin sticks? I had a bi pod on my previous rifle but the new one doesn't have a mounting place.. do yo think i should ad the swivel stud to mount the bi pod or just round up some shootin sticks? Thanks again your awesome!!!

  • Hey I've been watching your videos for a while now and I have to say your a very impressive shot. I use a Winchester .177 crack action which causes a scope to be very inaccurate, so i was just wondering how much did pick up your gun for because i'm looking for a bolt action. SF SAINT

  • I wanna start hunting rabbits but i dont think i have the guts to shoot one haha

  • @GooberNuf There is no shame in that hunting isn't for everyone, you could take a camera out and shoot with that instead.

  • @HuntersVermin what is the name and brand of your rifle u use

  • @spoonyfoil Its a 30ft/lb .22cal Theoben MFR pcp powered air rifle.

  • put your mag in wd 40 over night and blow out with air line job done

  • @perkyjim100 Ah thanks must try that.

  • was that rabbit with a disease?

  • @francisco4202 yes it could of had a touch of Myxomatosis.

  • lol "sticking magazine" that has happened to me so many times with my S200, with mine its caused when the O-rings in the mags (which hold the pellets in place) become damaged and catch on the mechanism which stops the mag from indexing round and you end up discharging air instead of a pellet.

  • hey guys u like airgun hunting come check out my channle and subb!!

  • Nice shooting chief! good comentary! its nice you say what is happening while it happens, the gravel and mud on your feet mix sucks been there its like an alarm for game.

  • brilliant, very informative and humane, and also show the ones you miss/ or dont fire at. hope to see more from you,

  • @ttalbot08 Thank you, glad you liked it.

  • I love your videos I would love to rabbit hunt with you I just got the gamo silenced cat with an awesome 1300 fps and an amazing scope

  • Been watching many videos on you tube since I got back in to the sport (now 39 years old, so a long time since the days as a young lad with a BB gun!).

Your videos are entertaining, informative and good for the sport. Plus you treat the quarry with respect and are humane.

    Thanks and warm regards.

    Nick - Reading,UK

  • @thegashman1 Thank you very much for that nice message. Glad you liked the vids.

  • what air rifle is it that you use. and were do you shoot

  • @EggyEm123 Its a 30ft/lb .22cal Theoben MFR pcp powered air rifle and i shoot over farm land that i have been given permission to control the vermin on.

  • I have been watching your videos since they first came out and I swear no matter what gun your using the magazine always fails before a shot....

  • where do you mount you camera? love your video by the way.

  • @BZlongboards I usually mount it on the scope.

  • @HuntersVermin thanks, how do you mount it? if its homemade can you make a DIY? thanks a lot

  • @BZlongboards Yes it is a home made mount but with so many people copying and selling my other ideas i want to keep this one to myself for a while.

  • i have a phantom 1000x, look at some pictures and some videos about it, is it good for hunting rabbits, i got a 4x32 scope

  • Man!!! I love your video's... It's like watching a small documentary. After I watch your video's I alway's get the urge to take op my .22 and go rabbit hunting. :)

  • @Aonexia Thanks, glad you found them so enjoyable.

  • Awsome vids dude! I had to sub! I am lookin to get into hunting with a pellet gun because I ca hut on alot more state lands with one.

  • @joey7928 Thanks, glad you liked them.

  • I want to let you know that i really enjoy whatching your videos. For christmas im getting a Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 .22 with 25fpe. I live in America so its legal to own an air rifle with that much power. Do you think i will be able to take down skunks and rabbits with it? Thanks i just subscribed by the way.

  • Great video. How do you find these good locations for hunting? There aren't any rabbits in my back garden lol. Thanks.

  • does a 1000 fps break barrel air rifle kill a rabbit ?

  • @MatriiXxBullet Yes it should do if you shoot for the head or the heart as most people in the UK use air rifles with about 580fps in .22cal and 780fps in .177.

  • huntersvermin i live in waynesville in nc when would be the best time to hunt squirls and birds

  • @josephsgamertag I would say any time in day light hours would be ok but i like to hunt the magpies and crows here in Northern Ireland in the morning as that is when they are hungry and looking for someting to eat around the farm yards.

  • Good work. .177 or .22?

  • @TheSpandexbullet Thanks My Theoben MFR is in .22cal.

  • you have problums with the mags i can see.try getting a different brand.usually cheep brands jam like that.good luck in hunting.

  • hey huntersVermin i need help, last year i didn't really know when the right time was to hunt rabbits, I live in California and its a little rainy. When would be the best time to start my rabbit season ?!

  • @weedstasher You'd need to check if there is a closed season for rabbit in California as we can hunt rabbit all year round in the UK.

  • @HuntersVermin where can i check that?

  • @dahui1463 I am not really sure but is it Fish & Game that sets the seasons etc.

  • @HuntersVermin im hunting rabbits and squirrel

  • @HuntersVermin where can i check ?

  • Sorry...computer issues.

  • Great shooting sir! Great video! Thanks for the sub, best of luck to you this season!

  • @independentrealist Thank you very much.

  • Another good video. Thanks for sharing your outdoor life with us.

Is the background noise just the wind or is there a highway nearby? Sounds like a fast four lane job often as not.

  • @Chugosh Thanks and Yes there is a main road about 1/2 a mile away which is never quite.

  • nice video mate looking forlwould to your next one

  • yet another excellent film merry christmas

  • Another good video. I've enjoyed your videos over the past couple of months. I look forward to when you get back to making more.

You do seem to have a lot of trouble with that magazine in your rifle! It happens rather frequently.

  • @CountZero78 Well i have backed the screw off a bit on the mag to see if that helps it.

    Glad you liked the vids.

  • @BDANDBASTY Thank you very much.

  • DVD ordered and looks like it is selling well from what the publisher was saying. Hope you have a good Christmas and new year.

  • @SuperSalacia Thank you very much, hope you enjoy the DVD.

  • Another great Vid dude!

    Love e'm

    Mick.

  • @TheBillybushcook Thank you.

  • what do u do with the dead?

  • @MrSaucysniper66 Some i eat the rest i ether give to my cats who love them or use as crow bait.

  • Another great video. I love how you make hunting so tranquil. Makes me think Ireland has to be some of the most beautiful land on Earth. Merry Christmas to you brother.

  • @mattxr2i Yeah it may be wet but it is nice when the sun comes out, merry Christmas to you too.

  • enjoyable watching your hunt...indeed, a lot of muck

  • @bigo57dean Yeah it has been very wet over here in Northern Ireland as last month.

  • great shooting

  • @Mr1000fps Thanks.

  • Im having trouble hunting, I shoot a rabbit from about 30-35 yards with the lightning XL, often the pellet goes STRAIGHT THROUGH the head, and the rabbit rolls around (still alive). Is this a pellet problem? Its a .22 rifle.

  • @heald111111111111111 No most modern air rifles with 11.5ft/lb of energy will put a pellet straight through a rabbits head, but so long as you put the pellet through the brain at a point just behind the eye and below the ear it is dead, it may kick a bit with nerves but it is brain dead. But if you should see it trying to get back onto its feet or move towards its burrow it may only be wounded so quickly put a finishing shot into it.

  • great shooting once again! i always look forward to your videos they are very well made! i bagged a rabbit this evening which i was happy with seeing how quickly the light fades, damn winter nights! this rabbit had a few fleas which made me wonder, what do you do with them if they have fleas?

  • @StarC2SuRge They all have fleas but they never do me any harm but some people will hang them on a near by fence post etc to let them cool so the fleas will leave to look for a new host.

  • love the content man :)

  • @mw2rules1999 Thank you.

  • and merrey christmass to you and your Family

  • @ben44095 Thank you and a merry Christmas to you too.

  • what caliber and gun are you using. great job and good luck on future hunts

  • @heavyhitter452 Thanks, its a 30ft/lb .22cal Theoben MFR pcp powered air rifle.

  • you realy have a good style :D

keep up the good work !!

  • @swordking51 Thanks i'l try.

  • exelent!! :)

  • @cazadoresdiurnos Thanks.

  • @bluedyson1 Thank you.

  • great vid, a joy to watch

  • @Trevody Thank you.

  • great video mate what sort of camera do you use

  • @85k11 Thanks, its a JVC 330 with a 30gb hard drive memory but its near three years old now.

  • good video again hunter

  • @dede3365 Thanks.

  • I always make time to watch your videos HuntersVermin , as they are always that bit better than everybody elses. One question though , what do you do with the Myxy rabbits when you shoot them , as you put the first one in this video in your game bag ?

  • @motormadmarc I take them home and ether feed them to my cats or use them as bait for crows.

  • Another great video, makes me want to go out n get some rabbits, but it's late in the season, plus there isn't any good place like that around here that will ok me to shoot on their land (farm)

  • @oakland002 Glad you liked the vid.

  • Excuse the grammar lol

  • Why is it harder to get in range in the winter ?I have noticed when up lampung that most rabbits a bolting an not freezing why is this

  • @philmcd831 Because there is less cover in the winter the grass is much shorter and the leaves in the hedge rows have all gone plus the ground is so wet that every foot step makes a squelching noise making it much harder to get close.

  • And another excellent video. Seeing as this is the last I'll hear from you I will say this now. Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year.

  • @MasterMark915 Thank you but i do hope to do some magpie vids soon but a merry Christmas to you too.

  • Thats one of my choices if I ever go to the dark side. Have you had any problems with yours. Also thinking of FX 400, and maybe a BSA. What do you think. I do small game now with RX2 .22 and HW97 .20.

  • Great Video Man finally somebody who can do this properly and not make a meal of it :)

  • @TomEfc96 Thank you.

  • Ay man, is it possible that you can tell me what rifle you use. An is it a pellet rifle? :)

  • @Warblingpeewee It is a ,22cal 30ft/lb pcp powered Theoben MFR air rifle.

  • @Toops144 Thank you.

  • Good vid, and good shooting, as always, thanks for sharing m8. I'll be buying the DVD by the way. Graham.

  • @grahamh1967 Thank you glad you liked it.

  • Good stuff as usual :)

  • @andrewmcnulty0 Thank you.

  • what is ur gun?

  • @fredduq It is a ,22cal 30ft/lb pcp powered Theoben MFR air rifle.

  • Looking forward to more videos in the new year! Merry Chirstmas from Australia buddy :)

  • @acteuro03 Thank you very much and a merry Christmas to you too.

  • Is it safe to eat a rabbit that shows signs of Myxomatosis ???

Another great vid thanks for posting.Greetings from another bunny popper Tasmania,Australia :)

  • @milky76 youd most likely be fine, because the heat kills anything that will harm you, but its best not to test it.

  • @mcmikeblues Cheers.I'd pobably just leave a rabbit after finding it had Myxo and know I'd had done it a favour with a quick kill. Thanks :)

  • @milky76 I take them home ether for my cats or to use it as crow bait.

  • @milky76 They say that people can't catch Myxomatosis but i wouldn't eat one.

  • Again great video! Good shooting! Do you always do solo hunts?

  • @crazywhitedog78 Yes i hunt alone when i film as it takes time to do it right which would be boring for anyone with me plus i would feel silly filming in front of some one.

  • you are awesome!!! don't stop the rabbit vids there great!

  • @zDanzzRx2011z Thank you.

  • Crackin video as ever. Are you using the Tactical Rapid, or is it just a very dark stock ?. ATB Russ.
