I think Garbo had more natural beauty, her perfectly shaped eyebrows and mouth for instance. Dietrich had to overdo her mouth and draw on brows, but they come out even anyway. Both fascinating.

I just read an amazing biography about Greta Garbo. Greta Garbo och den döde mexikanen (Greta Garbo and the dead Mexican) by Olov Svedelid. The story is told from the perspective of Garob's best childhood friend Mimi Pollak.

Here it was said that in the 30s they both had Mercedes de Acosta as a lover, BUT they didnt like to share her. D meant that de Acosta was hers because she got her first, while G claimed that de Acosta loved HER more. Actually de Acostas never stopped loving Garbo.
