Punts are easy, all u have to do is tackle the punter and they count that as a blocked punt. For the Field goal I've always used the guy to the far outside right, but I've never blocked a kick on any madden games

it's actually quite easy to block a feild goal. All's you got to do, is pick a good play, pick the right position, and make sure the other people on your team, help. And then, just run in and block it, there's probably been one time, that i idnt block the field goal. :P

did this on PSP madden 09, not really like this. When you play All Pro or All Madden you can run in motion and line of scrimmage have a block until the snap makes so u cant get enproachments, so you are in a high speed when the block releases and its easy to block the FD or Punt.

Never have I blocked a field goal, but I started blocking punts. Put a fast guy into the backup left outside linebacker spot and then pull the inside linebacker back just a little on the right side of your screen, left side of four man rush line, and bring the fast guy right next to him. Then the long snapper should do like a hesitation and give the fast guy the gap, then you jump or dive after sprinting straight at the punter. Tough, doesnt work every time. Madden 07 for PS2 btw.

Punt Block: Use regular return formation w/four man line. Get the middle linebacker on the left side of screen and pull him back and inside (toward other MLB) just a tad; he should visibly be closer and further back. Take LOLB (right side of screen) and put him on top of the MLB that you didn't move, or slightly inside of that (toward the other mlb). At the snap the LS (center) and gaurd should take the MLBs, leaving the LOLB free to rush. Go straight down to the punter and jump or tackle.

ive blocked a few in my madden years but i agree theres no secret to doing it all the time ya just line up on the outside and hall ass but it doesn't always work. and on the lod maddens you can turn off offsides penalties so it puts a force field on the LOS. So you basically run in place on the line. It helps to give you a running start.

if you are losing by a touchdown or field goal, the computer is kneeling the ball, go into field goal block and make sure ur safety and linebacker are crowding the line, the quaterback will get scared audible likely into a pass and there you go you have a chance!!!! try it and spread the word!!!!!!!!

@rulemarty85...if u look closely u will see that i blocked that field goal in 3 different ways, if thats a rare occasion to you i could make a another vid with full of blocks, actually i past the kicker before he kicked the ball in the last block attempt but thats probably the best way to show how to run into the ball and not try to attack the kicker because than u can get a fumble recovery + DTD.

i used the raider's phillip buchanon in madden 04. i ran a punt block and i could line him up outside the blockers. his insane speed rating let me block the kick. this should work because it is the same basic concept. i will post again if it does

Same thing with punts. You need a really fast guy, timing and luck. Once the ball is snapped. Run to the punter and try to jump or dive right infront of him. If done right, you should block it. Takes alot of practice but you get it eventually. I've seen the CPU block it from going right up the middle. I've personally only ever blocked it from running from the far side though.
