From what I heard is the mosque is in the same place that the old one was. It was damaged from the 9 1 1 attack and needs to be removed rebuilt. It may be upgraded somewhat. If that religion is going to force out then all the other religions should be also.

@dfbhcf No shit he's aware that Muslims are Americans and were killed on 9/11. But that does not change the fact that Muslims carried out the 9/11 attacks in the name of Islam. This makes a mosque on the doorstep of Ground Zero completely inappropriate. And no one is opposing their constitutional right to build the mosque. They're just saying it's not the right thing to do, for the reason mentioned above.
