Good Memories :) . today i can DOUBLE CLUTCH , DOWN SHIFT and all those things you can do with a Manuel car , my first time driving manuel was at 16 , so i thumb up for memories

Stall the engine and the car wont go anywhere...

basically means when you let go of the clutch to fast the car shuts off.

Exactly the same thing happened the first time O started up my Honda. For the first few days it was go-stall-restart-repeat. But I got good very quickly

Cool, i drove a mini for the first time ever today. It was my first driving lesson. It was really fun. Didnt stall.

lol I remember when i learned. When I was about 12 I loved car video games, with manual trans, so I though I knew how to drive a stick. I just made $10 from helping my dad at his work. So he said " hey son, want to learn how?" I said no b/c I already knew. he said that he bat me my $10 that I would stall it, I took the bet. Of course I stalled it, lol, and lost my $10 :(

You shouldnt really start the car with the clutch down unless you car requires it, for example an Audi or you leave the car in gear.

almost all new cars have a "lock" on them that prevents you from starting the car without the clutch pushed in.

Maybe in America, but I haven't come across a manual car in the UK that requires you to push your clutch down.
